I visited the store in Zurich with my father who is a watch fanatic! We had such an amazing time, Leo was incredibly kind and generous with his time allowing us to try on pretty much everything in store before we finally came to the decision on which watches to buy. The watches themselves are beautiful, and exceptionally well made. It was a great experience to have shared with my Dad and I now have a incredible Maurice de Mauriac watch to always remember.

This watchmaking atelier of an independent family-owned brand was a great experience to discover in Zurich. In contrast to the big watch brands shops on the high street, this place is very "down to earth", warm and welcoming. I've got to see and learn different aspects of the watchmaking process (and see watches from up close and not through an armoured glass) I ended up spending there an hour, talking to Daniel Dreifuss (the brands' founder) and his son Leo, who shared with me their passion for watches. Although I wasn't able to take one, I was happy to learn about the possibility to take a watchmaking course in their atelier. Perhaps next time.

Decided to get hold of the beautiful L2 in deep blue with a blue nato strap. Daniel is an absolute watch specialist and he provides excellent personal consulting when it comes to finding the right timepiece for oneself. The quality of the watches is on par with any major luxury watch manufacturer, mostly containing market-proven ETA calibers. The design of the watch is pure, clear and of highest quality details. I was lucky enough to get a unique L2 with a brown bezel amongst the diving indicators which illuminate like crazy in the dark. Awesome! The L2 is a great addition to my collection and it will most certainly not be my last Maurice De Mauriac Timepiece. Thank you Daniel for this great and unique watch!

Lovely place and wonderful people. I went there for a watch making course and I learnt a lot about the movement and how to build a watch. It's possible to make your own watch based on several combinations. It's a second generation business and the 3 siblings are working there. They have amazing references and they keep themselves down to earth and as simple as possible. I might come back to get myself a new watch.

Do you like treasure hunting and great stories? Well, then this is the place for you. The Dreifuss family are collectors of treasures and have some wonderfully stories to tell. Most importantly, they make sure that your future watch will be a treasured piece that tells YOUR story, customised according to your wishes. Their watches are inspired by timeless classic styles such as the Bauhaus movement but they are also not afraid to change it up and create bold statements with something to say. And if you feel like you need a change but are not quite ready for a new watch, they have an amazing collection of hand-selected watchstraps sourced from all over the world to choose from. Mind you, you may struggle to make a choice: there is so much to see in their magical atelier that grabs your attention and there are so many different straps to choose from. Thankfully, the vibe of the atelier is very much that of entering a private space as a friend, with a cup of coffee and everything. Massimo and Leo don't only sell you time, so to speak, but are generous with theirs. I look forward to my next visit!

It is very difficult to write this reviewI don’t have the words to articulate how wonderful a time we had… (Ha Ha see the play on time and this being a review for a watch manufacture class?). A five star rating does not do this experience justice, the shop is lovely and eclectic in a very homey comfortable way, like when you go over to a friends house… comfortable, welcoming, unpretentious but classy, sophisticated, energetic… you must go to see and feel it. The Dreifuss family, Daniel, Leonard, Massimo are probably the coolest trio on the planet, and we could not have spent enough time hanging out with them. If you are in Zurich this is an absolute must do! Yes, I did buy a watch… not only a very cool watch that looks amazing but an awesome story to go with it and if I dare say some new friends we are very fond of!

I received my L2 Bronze Deep Blue today and just excitingly opened it. The watch is stunning. I feel like it is too good to wear, and that I am wearing a watch that just jumped off your website onto my wrist. I guess it did in a way, travelling across the world via four countries to Melbourne, Australia in 5 days. Quite remarkable and I am sure something your father could never have imagined, even in 1997. I will wear the watch with pride, appreciation for your design and build quality and value being welcomed into the Maurice de Mauriac family.

We enjoyed our time in Zurich for our watch making . Challenging and intricate craft with expertise of Til( mechanical engineer student) with the watch making! Massimo one of the owner and the the co-founder Daniel were very personable. Giving tips of what Zurich offers. The story how the company started, the humility of the family. Taking time to show us around then driving us back to our hotel is icing on the cake! The quality, price, value and friendliness holds so true with the mission of Maurice De Mauriac Zurich! We will highly recommend to our family and friends! I am enjoying the new watch I have and will be using it every day!

First let me begin with the fantastic customer service. I couldn't travel across the ocean to go visit the their workshop and Atelier (It will be on my to do list for sure). Leonard responded quickly to all my inquiries and he provided very beneficial advices. Leonard was very professional and friendly. I felt very confident throughout the process of purchasing my dream watch. Now lets talk about the watch. WOW. Amazing work. You can tell that every single details is meticulously thought, everything is perfectly balance. The mechanical movement is flawless. I really love that each watch has its own story. My husband and I went there today to a watchmakers course and we had the TIME of our lives (pun intended). It was truly a personalized experience where we got to learn a lot about watchmaking and also learn how to assemble a watch with our own hands. You can feel an amazing atmosphere of people that really love what they do and really put the value in watchmaking and the art of creating unique watches. It’s a very contagious vibe, we laughed a lot and talked a lot and it made an absolute difference in our stay at Zürich. They’re all very friendly (including Toto, their cute dog). We’ll definitely be coming back here (and hopefully we’ll be leaving with a personalized watch too!)
