Trageberatung wurde im Spital angeboten - jedoch schien es, dass mein Gynokologe und entbindender Arzt den Krankenschwestern zuerst Dampf machen musste bis sie da noch einen Termin für mich organisieren konnten (ebenfalls für den Ohrentest unserer Tochter). Den Termin hätte ich eben am 1. Tag bzw. Abend nach 17h entbinden anfragen sollen. Zwei meiner zuständigen (Tages)Schwestern waren immer im Stress und hatten keine Zeit für mich. Sobald mein Besuch gegegangen war, fühlte ich mich sehr hilflos und von den Schwestern (ausser 1 Nachtschwester) auf mich alleine gestellt. Da ich kaum sitzen konnte, war ich ausserhalb der Besuchszeit gezwungen meine Tochter immer bei mir im Bett zu behalten um sie jederzeit zu stillen - Hilfe anzufordern, war mir äusserst unangehem. Meine Rhesus-Spritze wurde mir ebenfalls zu spät nach der Entbindung injiziert, was zur Folge hatte, dass ich mit den Unterleibsschmerzen zwei Tage später wieder in den Spital gemusst hätte, hätte meine Hebamme das Equipment für die Blutentnahme nicht gehabt.

Ich durfte/musste vor 3 Jahren mein Knie im Balgrist operieren lassen. Da meine Schmerzen ca 10 Jahre lang nicht ernst genommen wurde entschied ich mich für den Balgrist. Sie waren die ersten die ein MRI und CT gemacht haben, durch das fanden sie heraus dass mein Knie mehr schlecht wie recht zu wege war. Ich wurde kompetent liebevoll und mit vollem Respekt behandelt! Nach wie vor bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Balgrist! Dank euch kann ich wieder auf die Ski ohne Schmerzen, kann Arbeiten ohne Schmerzen und dies alles ohne Angst dass mein Knie kaputt geht! "Sie müssen sich bewegen, dann wird das mit Ihrem Kreislauf schon wieder." Die Frage ist nur, wie soll ich mich bewegen, wenn ich unter erstens extremen Schmerzen leide und zweitens sofort Schwindel und Übelkeit auftreten, sobald ich aufstehe? Leider ist also zwei Tage nach meiner Entlassung mein Kreislauf auf dem Weg zum WC zusammengebrochen, ich bin gestürzt und wurde daraufhin wieder ins Balgrist in die Notaufnahme zum Röntgen gebeten. Ich hatte da leider den Eindruck, dass man mich nicht ganz so ernst genommen hat und die Ärzte eher genervt waren. Und auch da hat sich niemand für mein akutes Kreislaufproblem interessiert. Nun hab ich mir also einen Rollstuhl leihen müssen, weil ich Angst vor einem erneuten Sturz habe. Die Ärzte sind zum größten Teil leider alle eher arrogant, was einem kein gutes Gefühl vermittelt. Das Schmerzteam ist wiederum wirklich super und sehr bemüht, zu helfen. Es war also wirklich nicht alles schlecht. Ich habe in ein paar Wochen eine Nachuntersuchung und vielleicht ändert dieser meine Meinung nochmal. Aber im Moment bin ich eher enttäuscht..

Whole my situation is not a good reason to be glad, but surgery results are great so far and I'm getting back to cycling (road) and climbing (slabs so far) gradually. Die Ärzte da können ihren Beruf nicht!!! Bei meiner Frau pfuschen sie seit drei Wochen rum und wollen Ihr die Schuld daran geben!!! Die Ärzte da gehören in den Knast da sie Menschenleben aufs Spiel setzen!!! Ich habe jetzt schon Unterlagen meinem Anwalt übergeben der diese prüft!!!

Maybe this clinic has a good reputation for surgeries but as far as Spine Consultation goes,it really dissapointed me. The doctors at Balgrist repeated one part (not even full) of a diagnosis that i had by a previous Orthoped from another Clinic.(arthritis in the spine) They just suggested me physiotherapy (which i was already doing) and visiting a Chiropractor. The Doctor dis not even check where my pain were. It felt like they didn‘t take me seriously because of my age.

So happy! Was recently looked after by the nursing team at Balgrist (OKG) and the experience was an extremely reassuring one. The staff were so professional and the care I received was personal and tended to my precise needs during recovery. I had so much trust in the nursing team, I marvel at how they manage this day in and day out during covid. Many thanks to those that looked after me!
