I attended the Swiss Mountain Clinic in October 2019, and I must share this was the most wonderfully healing and sacred time for me. SMC provides wellness and healthcare at it's finest, treating the whole patient in an exquisite setting, with a generous medical and hotel staff that makes the entire SMC package outstanding on every level. Dr. med. Petra Wiechel and Dr. med. Friderike Wiechel were my physicians while I attended for 2 weeks participating in overall health assessment/base line data and 5 star therapies for recuperation, rejuvenation and a powerful liver/gallbladder flush. I and am noticing on the website several new new doctor's and medical consultants have been added and this is very exciting! I often recommend this clinic to anyone and all!

I have been to several wellness retreats but none came close to Swiss Mountain Clinic (“ SMC”). I first visited SMC in autumn 2019 and fell in love with the place on first sight. The clinic is located in a beautiful high energy location in the Calanca Valley. My room had a stunning snow-capped mountain view and the air was pristine, crisp and so fresh! The premises are relatively small and cozy but well equipped. But I soon discovered many more outstanding attributes. It is like peeling an onion, as the days progressed, I found more wonderful surprises. The food is healthy, delicious and beautifully presented, though dinner is relatively modest in calories for those with hearty appetite. The week culminated with a 5-star standard Gala Dinner with an accompanying pianist! I felt like I was having a great holiday in a beautiful spa. The doctors are experienced holistic practitioners and the clinic provides an extremely well-run liver detox program and many other beneficial treatments. Many patients I spoke to are happy with their liver detox experiences and echo my views on many aspects. In particular, they found the staff are very friendly and helpful though some feel that the doctors and therapists are overstretched , and are not able to respond to any complication or a patient’s query in a more timely and personal manner. This is not unique to SMC as it can be challenging to balance costs vs service quality, and misunderstanding on service rendered and fees charged can therefore arise. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for me. I feel healthier, more relaxed and learnt a lot on how to eat and live in a more healthy way. But best of all, I met a few kindred spirits there. This is the climax of my stay in SMC, meeting interesting and like-minded persons from all over the world. We keep in touch, we shared and we supported each other in our health journey continuously. We just had a wonderful reunion in June 2022 and we plan to meet again in SMC in 2023! SMC has not stood still. It has new innovative treatments and it continues to evolve and expand. Worst medical experience I had. - The doctor doesn't speak English well and it was very difficult to communicate. - There was no promised follow up and each time I called the clinic I had a very polite personnel saying that I will receive a reply with no one ever getting back to me after. - I am waiting for a prescription from the clinic since 07.2023 and as of 10.2023 I haven't received it. - I was told that I can be advised remotely over the phone, I paid CHF 50 for the phone consultation which lasted 3 minutes and at the end after 3 months of continues lack of responses to my emails and calls I was told that the clinic doesn't help remotely.

We recently enjoyed our return to Swiss Mountain Clinic. We had high expectations because of our previous 2 week stay at SMC. We were not disappointed! Our focus was Liver Detox Week which included various preventative and therapeutic treatments. New & innovative treatments and protocols have been added since our first visit. The facility continues to evolve and improve. SMC has a long term plan that will further advance their ability to treat & care for their clients. Dr. med. Petra Wiechel, Dr. med. Friderike Wiechel & Ulf Wiechel are the foundation that SMC is built upon. However, it's greatness stretches far beyond them, they have a host of employees that all work together to enhance everyones stay at the Clinic. The office staff was always helpful, the medical staff was OUTSTANDING! The food is excellent and beautifully presented - always delivered with a smile. The clinic's housekeeping is pristine. The competent, friendly & caring staff made this visit another excellent one. You make us feel like family when we are here. Thanks, we are looking forward to our next return.

I first visited Swiss Mountain Clinic in 2015 with my husband. We had made a deal- He agreed to detox with me at the clinic and I agreed to re-tox in Italy with him after our initial week’s stay In Switzerland. But after attending the clinic and enjoying all the benefits it actually was his idea to cancel our plans in Italy and stay further at the clinic! We never regretted that choice, in fact we found it so beneficial we have continued to return every year for either a two or three week stay. Why would we do that?! Swiss Mountain Clinic is quite unique! Nestled in the Alps, comfortably appointed rooms, local food prepared fresh every day, guided hiking and local sightseeing trips, local cultural opportunities, AND outstanding medical treatments personally designed to make each client as healthy as possible, and staff that truly cares, and for us, have become personal friends. Not only have we both made great strides in our health but by attending we’ve learned so much about how to live a healthier lifestyle. The first time I went to the Swiss Mountain Clinic was for a 50 year total health check and liver detox. I must admit that I was a little skeptical and nervous before arriving. But from the very first minute when arriving at the Clinic I was blown away by the empathy and care of each staff member, the dedication and wisdom of Dr. Petra and Ulf Wiechel and of course the magical setting of the clinic. I liked the clinics holistic approach to diagnostics and treatments and more so Dr. Petras vast experience in the complex functioning of the human body. In short, I went back to the clinic now 5 times to detox from every day life - the long term effect of the treatments are amazing. Highly recommended P.S. don't expect a luxury wellness clinic, this is a down-to-earth cozy clinic where the health is in the centre of attention.
