Public psychiatric hospital in Geneva, located on the outskirts of the city, includes various pavilions scattered over a large estate, it dates from the 1900s. The isolation rooms in the Glycines 2 sector are dilapidated and unworthy. The staff is not always friendly with their patients. But like everywhere there are nurses who are pleasant. The medical staff are unpleasant, arrogant and do not fail to show you how powerful they are, it is truly deplorable. You have to fight against abuse, to assert your rights as a patient, when there are some appeal procedures. They don't like our complaints at all as family, because they prefer to confront patients drugged by them and who are inevitably docile. I definitely do not recommend this place because it is inhumane, hence its bad reputation which I can only confirm! Truly a shame for a city like Geneva where men's rights are not always respected!

It happened to me, 5 years ago, being a minor (local with fewer patients) to find myself one night with 2 nurses including the chief, the other patients being authorized to go out for a few days, I was asked to put the simple hospital outfit for the only time and I received a pill unusually before going to bed which completely anesthetized me until the morning. I think you understand what they could have done, I found traces. 2 other nurses confirmed that they had been pushed and understood the situation.

These reviews are very, very scary. Yet they all seem to be true. Recently a friend's daughter committed suicide from this place. I wonder if it was not because of the way she was handled. Someone please help the vulnerable.

There are nurses who listen, friendly people. We eat much better than at the restaurant at the Parc des Eaux,Vives where I was disappointed culinaryly but above all the victim of discrimination of all kinds as well as physical assault for free. The opposite happens in the hospital, they have a lot of respect for patients and know how to adapt to all situations, some of which are quite complex. Thank you greetings and make sure

I was hospitalized twice there when I was a minor, so in the adolescent sector. It’s a horrible place, we are forbidden from absolutely everything. The doctors refused to allow me to be in the room for too long and when I went to the common areas, we were systematically yelled at because we were laughing. The doctors are absolutely not listening (except a few). They are supposed to have meetings to share information during the day except that every time I spoke to a doctor about my case, he understood absolutely nothing. No one ever helped me while I was there. Each time I had to explain my problems again and no doctor was able to help me or give me advice, they briefly noted what I said and that's it. The only thing they do is stuff patients with drugs and keep them alive in this place. The doctors, for the most part, feel disappointed by the patients, do not question themselves and make it clear that if we do not listen to them we will not get out. I heard and saw things that traumatized me even more than I already was. The boredom is immense, because as soon as we laugh too much we get yelled at, we did one activity per day which lasted an hour, the rest of the time we were left to our own devices doing nothing with our days. On weekends we can offer small activities if we do not have permission to go out with our loved ones. The hospital activities are there “to help” except when we did a manicure activity the only boy present could not do it because I quote “We are in a hospital we are not here to dress up” except all the girls could do this activity. It’s sexist and alienates people. The food is terrible. In short If you want to spend a stay in prison this place is for you! If you want to be listened to and cared for, don’t go there.

Bad experience, they put pressure on you for taking pills. If you refuse they are making a injection. They don’t respect your human free will. That’s against UN-conventions and human rights. Cruel. Would not recommend to anyone.
