(Translated by Google) If I could distribute minuses, I would do that. Unfortunately, there is no real alternative when the pediatrician is on vacation and in case of bad things sends us there ... The records are partially defective. so I could not be told who had operated on my child, only who had assigned it (since the surgery appointment was placed exactly in the 2h window of which I had said that I can not come). When I came to wake up with the second child, it was said that there was no child care on that day and that I should bring the second child home. Whether the operator is frightened and wakes up alone, was EGAL! Child with 40 ° fever: first wait 3h, then: Continue passing Algifor. We can not do any more. Your child is fine otherwise ... Child with 3-day vomiting and diarrhea: Only wait after 2.5h and vomiting 3x they come up with the idea to give something to the child, then wait another 30min. Why not give the lozenge after the first vomiting? The doctor goes to the nurse and tells her to bring syrup and salt stem. Syrup is coming, Salzstängeli not. Everything checked after 10 minutes, the doctor says goodbye "You'll get the salt stalks right away". Wait 20min, nothing happens. I could usually forgive that, it's pretty stressful, but the sisters are chatting as I go with the kids ... Other child with prolonged vomiting and diarrhea: "You know that this is for the family doctor?" - "Yes, but he is not there!" - "Shall we give you a list of other family doctors?" - "no, now we are here." Like if another doctor had so much free capacity just before a holiday. I just want you to do your job! then to the doctor: "Do not give anything against diarrhea. Against the vomiting give these suppositories." (which after 2min with the diarrhea are out again ...) Child with puffy eye, stuffy nose, sore throat: No smear, no blood count. "Here's a recipe for antibiotics." And we pay all the health costs ... That's why I understand why my children are vomiting.

(Translated by Google) Shamefully simple, just under two hours waiting because of my son who could not stand it anymore because of his ear. And we wait and wait and no one combs until I'm out of the waiting room and see how easy a team of up to 8 people all sit in front of their computer while a child can not anymore. No guilty conscience these people. This is definitely not an emergency treatment, far from it.

(Translated by Google) Emergency room in every way a disaster! The receptionist (night shift) arrogant and rude, as if parents could make their children sick! Receptionist (night shift) disinterested and stinks of cigarette pooh! Such employees should be terminated immediately without notice - without exception! Of course, the waiting times are really a disaster, but what bothers me even more than the long wait is that you ALWAYS have to be afraid that your own child is also infected with something else because you are already examined at the reception! Since germs are only kidnapped instead of minimizing them, because I have rarely seen the nursing staff washes or disinfects their hands! Absolute no-go! This needs to be restructured urgently, RECEPTION is RECEPTION, INVESTIGATIONS SHOULD BE PERFORMED IN AN EXAMINATION ROOM AND NOT AT THE RECEPTION OF OTHER PERSONS AND NO ONE MY CHILD LACKS! "Nurse" - this is the name of this unprofessional, cheeky and rough woman (from DE). First she quarrels in the corridor with her supervisor (a doctor), then she drives us too, which is why we are not in there Waiting room, but outside the study room by the chairs - then please talk to us and wisely cope, we can not taste what you think! Just the last one. I miss the old children's hospital! A request to the UKBB - please check exactly what and who you hire for the emergency department - because as it is right now, it's just damn bad !!!! Absolutes No-Go!

(Translated by Google) Oh, very sad hospital. Reception "doctor" is arrogant and super rude. The doctor with the last name "ic" in the end is a case in itself. My poor daughter was already hysterical because of the fever measurement because it comes to examine the throat with the Stäbli and my daughter had even vomit! Efficiency is a foreign word there ... no words. I do not know if the recessions bring anything .. I hope so very much. My belief in doctors has always been a bit weak, but today it was finally destroyed. (Original) Ohjee sehr trauriges Spital. Empfangs“Ärztin“ ist arrogant und super unfreundlich. (Translated by Google) Our first visit to UKBB in June 2019 was also the last. Probably because in our case it was a suspected appendicitis, we were in the emergency department very quickly turn. Our wait has been about 4-5 minutes. We were very impressed. After that came a deep disappointment and frustration first from surgery, then from pediatrics. Both departments failed completely because they were unable to detect appendicitis and help us. After a 2-day stay with very severe pain (8-9 out of the 10 possible points, despite the painkillers she got every 2-3 hours), nausea, inability to walk a few paces of pain, the doctors' decision was made up of two above mentioned departments. The pain is psychosomatic and my daughter has to be relocated to the appropriate ward when there is free space available. After two weeks it was indeed the case. Fortunately, it was not necessary for us anymore because our "psychosomatic" cause had been cut out one day after the stay in UKBB in Solothurn Hospital. This was actually an appendicitis, the doctors in the UKBB unfortunately could prove neither in the blood nor on the ultrasound. Thus, the topic was done for them. According to Dr. Beutler (senior pediatrics) could not do anything for us in the hospital anymore. I took my daughter in a wheelchair from the hospital to the car because she could not walk. She was checked, though. This is apparently the motto of the hospital: check-off instead of treatment, let alone healing. I did not mean to name names in my rating. But since my complaint about the stay has brought nothing and the above-mentioned doctor has done nothing but justify rather than apologize, I have come to the conclusion that the last chance was unfortunately missed and the other patients both in front of the doctor should be warned against the psychosomatic diagnoses. If we believed him and waited for a place, my daughter would either be unable to have children of her own or not live at all.

(Translated by Google) Staff was very friendly and competent so far ahead. But the emergency entrance area I found shocking. I stand in line and was confronted with vomiting children being examined in 2 open triage "boxing". Flu and infectious share unprotected and indiscreet with casualties as exhibited the scenery. I find it very unhygienic! Then again at the registration desk: a adolescent, too big to be supported by his mother, lies on the ground in front of it and vomits for 15 minutes on the floor and in Kotzbeutel. All this in the lobby, almost absurd ... It has to be organized differently. That's why a 2; insufficient.

University Children's Hospital Basel, Spitalstrasse 33, 4056 Basel, Switzerland: I am a Spine surgeon from India. I was here during my Fellowship in Spine Surgery at University Hospital of Basel. I attended several complex scoliosis surgeries done by Prof. Dr. Carol Hasler at this institute. I got to see several new techniques of scoliosis correction. Optimum correction was achieved in all the surgeries that I saw. I very much recommend the services of Prof. Dr. Carol Hasler.

Very very disappointed. Unexperienced doctors very young and insecure without any senior supervisor. My 12 months baby was moving and the doctor at the emergency just gave up to check on him after just one attempt as “he was moving too much”. The different doctors didn’t do any handover from one shift to the other. They forgot to share lab test results. They didn’t transmit any confidence and knowledge about what they were saying or doing. This is unacceptable for a kids hospital.

UKBB -Station B I would like to write our experience that we have today at the Station B. I would like to make a note ,that we are moved in Zurich, but we decide to follow our treatments and investigations in UKBB,because we always find for us UKBB WAS LIKE THE 2'nd HOME . Today ,for our son,was establish one surgery (on Station B) ,and ,after we arrived, we ask what its the procedure for requesting private room (because we already ask this to our insurance, we ask also by hospital regarding the costs and what is the procedure). One lady approached us ,and she said to my husband :we cannot offer a private room ,because this depends of our insurance......depends what insurance we have....and all discution was about our insurance.... Later on we ask her why she said like this and her response was : "because she was in a hurry"...really??? After I ask her ,what's her name ,I told her :that ,it's very important if someone explains in a nice way, and first of all,to be polite . Its said ,because parents they are not coming in the hospital because "they dont have what to to at home"....and they are treated like ....they disturbing the personal from hospital with some questions.

Even though you go to emergency with a kid you always wait at least 3 hours! At least. Thanks for your answer but actually no I don’t understand at all. Why should a sick kid should wait (for mine it was 5 hours last night for my kid with all the infection in his eyes-and it was a contagious one-sorry for the other poor kids and babies!) for 5 hours in an emergency room and why not there are more doctors there due to your ranking of emergency? Is it this hard to appoint one more doctor to a „kinder“ hospital? It is the hardest thing to wait wait wait wait wait with a sick kid without knowing when a doctor will say a word, when you will be treated and all!.. no logic, no patient service, not for an amazing country like Switzerland there at all.. :((((((

The waiting hours here is unacceptable. I have come here with my kids several times and waited up to 3 hours. Swiss health care system supposed to be one the best in the world, therefore this problem needs to be addressed seriously. The treatment itself and the doctors are good, but the waiting time just make the overall experience awful.

When the doctor finally came to us after over two hours, she just left. It just left us standing there. My son is a toddler. We waited another half an hour and were both exhausted. When I called out, I got the answer: "Two paramedics have just come in the meantime!" With weekend and night supplements, over CHF 1,000,000 per patient does more to the outpatient clinic! They have priority! But with only four segments of liver, cancer cells and asthma left me waiting indefinitely in the corona time !!! Then it is said that even if you are afraid of the virus, you should not take the children to the hospital too late !!!! It really fits together! Medical costs come first and health? I don't know what my son is missing! He was not treated !!!!! I have nothing but praise for UKBB and the commitment of its staff. Whether it’s the emergency department, hospital ward or administrative personnel - from junior doctors and nurses to the consultants - everyone has always made every effort to make a visit here as least stressful as possible. The care is exemplary! Every question we ever had was answered in detail and without rushing, we always knew what is the next step, every procedure was done in a way to minimize stress for the child and make the best out of a scary situation. And this was not a one off experience. Yes, waiting times can be long but this is not by choice or lack of organization. UKBB is one of Basel’s gems and I hope it stays that way.

A&E is not recommended at night. They try to scare patients away. Already at the time of admission they say that it can take 1-2 hours until a doctor arrives. Although the range of values was almost empty. The doctor was not convincing either. Was not a good experience tonight.

It is a hospital with expertised doctors and many friendly staff. I do not give 5 stars just because of the small number of staff who do not behave politely. They are like contamination in a bottle of water, which I hope the wise management of the hospital will take care of.

(Translated by Google) Service was very good and so was support. But the front desk was unable to stamp a parking ticket on a phone. She hadn't even looked at me. A Swiss woman with long black hair, young. Usually women can multitask. Just fake news. I've worked on the phone for years myself, I can do it as a man. Then a colleague came up in horror and did it for me.

(Translated by Google) Pity. The emergency was well organized and the doctor and nursing staff were competent. However, the department clearly lacked communication within the staff and also among the doctors. Contradictory statements, incomprehensible diagnosis (as it now turns out to be wrong), delayed tactics without examinations. If an EEG was clearly recommended in the emergency, it was ignored in the department. Now the first damage is showing ... I find the medical care in this children's hospital very questionable (Original) schade.

3 hour wait in the emergency room for a young, sick baby is really unbearable. The reception staff were rude and ignored us for 15 minutes. The doctor was patronizing and unfriendly. And this is the only hospital we can go to. What a horrible, horrible place!!!

Unfortunately there is no alternative. We have arrived with sick 6 month baby and we were informed that we will have to wait 2-3 hours. We were informed that we will have to wait in waiting room full of coughing children of all ages. When we told that we will wait more far away the personnel told us that “no we have to wait here” which we obviously refused. 2-3 hours for a baby among sick children was nothing wrong for a nurse! After 2 hours 20 min we asked how many people are in front of us as everybody in waiting room exchanged and we were informed that 5 people are still in front. After seeing healthy looking teenager arriving after us (and sitting some 30 min in waiting waiting room) and entering the room just now we have decided to go home. Fingers crossed that we did not make the child more sick by going there and not getting any help. Not recommended. Avoid at all cost. Third world.

I came to UKKB today for an emergency with my daughter, unfortunately I don’t speak very good German and I ask the receptionist can you speak English, she said she don’t understand English. This case she ask us to bring translator and not even try to help us during our emergency!! We really disappointed it’s Stadt hospital and receptionist staff told speak international language it’s really feel sorry for international customer and this how Basel Stadt welcoming international guest for an emergency situation. I am not interested writer or worst experience here and I hope your management will taking reall serious about receptions staff international and hospitality skill instead of keeping narrow mind receptions.

I had an excellent experience at the pediatric hospital UKBB (my daughter had hernia surgery), especially with Nurse Sandrine. Her exceptional care and compassion made a significant difference in my child's comfort and recovery. The entire staff demonstrated professionalism and dedication, contributing to a positive environment for young patients. Thank You so much! ☺️
