Erst vor rund 40 Jahren wurden die Mauern der Basilika entdeckt. Das Museum ist aussen bereits interessant eingerichtet und befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt von Nyon und ein paar Fussschritte vom Schloss entfernt. Montags ist das Museum leider geschlossen. Der Eintrittspreis liegt bei CHF 8.- pro erwachsene Person. Für Museumsliebhaber sicherlich ein vertretbarer Preis.

Nice quick visit

Interesting stuff, English explanations was in a separate booklet but was quite hard to use due to lack of sign on what corresponds to what exhibit. Museum was also really dark which made it difficult to read the booklet

Had my cousin as our personal tour guide and I think that made me enjoy this experience much more that any other museum I've ever been to. Would recommend getting a tour guide, makes this place so much more interesting! I don't think I would have had much fun just walking around without explanations! Not a very large museum, but it's history is makes up for that!

A great museum with a wonderful ambiance of walking around within the walls of an ancient Roman town. Exhibits were interesting however the English card lacked a clear sequence. Wonderful to learn such old history about Nyon.

This is a really outstanding place. Great exhibits, and very friendly and helpful staff.

If you are into Roman history, this museum is worth visiting. It is near Geneve in the city of Nyon. You can visit the museum, the status of Julius C. and the three columns in one time. It opens at 14:00 so plan ahead. There is not much left of the roman basilica, but they made a good effort on showing how the romans build this momument. There is also information about the aqudact that is still visible in Nyon and of course there are pots and pans, coins and a video about the monument. With the ticket you have access to three local museums in total.

Nice history museum. Explanations are in French but an English booklet was lent to me during my visit. Admission included with Chateau de Nyon ticket

Pretty small but highly informative. Would definitely recommend a visit since it is 3 Nyon museums with one ticket.

Amazing collection of the roman empire remainings. Fun for kids too.
