An ideal sightseeing excursion if you don't really like walking. Charges CHF 8 per adult for a round trip along the shore, and gives you a good introduction to the area and the history of Geneva. If you're tight on time and prefer someone to drive you to get a glimpse of the famous lake, the train does its job. Only downside is the waiting time, but otherwise we enjoyed our experience.

Poor excursion with nothing much to see. The fare is 8 Fr per adult, 30 min round trip along the see shore. Don't recommend it. Better do it by 15 min walk if you want and save money for the ice cream.

You’re better seeing Geneva on foot but if you can’t, this is a fair alternative. Pros. Really cheap for thirty minutes of entertainment. You pay at pickup and don’t need to pre book. Cons. They do not run on time. The pick up location is not clear on their website (we had to call). The recorded tour narration is unclear and kept cutting in and out.

We were cold and tired from walking with a short stay only in Geneva. The train takes you along the board walk. Cost 35CHF for a family of five and goes for about 35min. They give you blankets to help keep you warm. The audio could be a bit louder perhaps as its hard to hear whilst moving.

Perfect for family with kids & of course for tourists. Price is also ok.

There are different routes. The electric engine is noisy and the explanations are over loudspeaker and not always easy to hear. In addition, the comments were in 3 languages and when there was not enough time for all of them , they were only in 2. Convenient manner to get historical information and to learn the lay of the place.

Lovely way to see Geneva old town. Could've been improved with a live commentary rather than recorded but still a good trip.

Those guys always make it look like they want to run you over. You should rather take a walk, it's better for your health.

You should be completely drunk to like this train ride. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time. Take a walk instead.

The driver is rude to the tourists. I bought a one-way ticket to had an impression of the city and everything was fine. However, when we reached the last stop, I did not know this was the last stop. So, I stayed inside the train. In the last stop, one would expect an announcement saying is the final stop. Unfortunately, there is no announcement. The only sign I got was the driver staring at me and shooting me. I was quite surprised and directed myself to ask in person the driver if we were at the last stop. The only thing this rude person said was "it is logic". Maybe it's logical for him cause he is driving the train, but it is not for the other ones.
