They have a very charming garden, which is mixed with the Tropical and Tuscan garden style, You can see how the banana trees, palms, bougainvillea coexist harmoniously with Tuscan cypresses, lemon trees, and olive trees. It makes me think about the landscape designer Bill Bensley. When you stay inside, you feel happiness and tranquility. Breakfast is very nice. All the people there are kind and helpful.

Nice Hotel & location, however we had an absolutely horrible experience with the concierge “service”.. The “gentleman” was disgustingly rude, and arrogant, providing a very poor level of assistance. We did not feel welcome, due to the arrogance of the staff. I would never come here again….

The hotel is beautiful and the staff so wonderfully friendly and helpful. The on-premise two star Michelin restaurant, Ecco, is an amazing treat of wonderful flavors and stunning presentation. I would just like to add our daughter had a medical emergency while staying here and they pulled out all the stops, even to the extent of locating and picking up the medication she needed after all the pharmacies had closed for the night. My wife, daughter and I would like to sincerely thank the staff of for taking care of us when we were so far from home. We highly recommend Giardino Ascona and you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful! We love the area. I refer to Ascona as a “ more relaxed Lake Como”. We have been in this area several times and stayed at Giardino most often because of its friendly, relaxed staff. Much less formal than the other five star hotels, in a good way. I can’t say enough about the quality of service and attention to detail. We had not been here since 2019 and have seen an overall erosion of quality as Covid has become an excuse for many operators. Thankfully , not for our Giardino. Than you.

It was my first time here and I was very surprised. It is so beautiful and relaxing. The staff are very nice and helpful. You feel very welcomed. The perfect place to escape and for a time out. I am absolutely in love and can't recommend it enough. I will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff was fantastic, extremely attentive and even went so far as to ship a belonging to our next hotel after we had realized it was left behind. The breakfast was a great way to get ourselves moving in the morning before heading out on one of our excursions, and the concierge had all the information we needed! Would 100% stay here again, and are already recommending the hotel to friends and family. Can't thank the staff at the Giardino Ascona enough for making it a memorable stay!

Giardino Ascona is an absolute Top Hotel with great service staff, a beautiful location, and excellent food. It was one of my most favorite trips this year!

A really nice escape with a wonderful peaceful and very tasteful designed garden and outdoor pool area. Very friendly, professional and well trained staff. 2 pools and a really nice Ayurveda Spa. Restaurant food is great and if wanted the Ecco 2 Michelin star restaurant is just next door.

Excellent service across the board from all staff, beautiful outdoor pool at a very swimmable temperature, additional spacious indoor pool, and landscaped gardens that are given a lot of attention. 2 excellent restaurants on site. Large room with balcony overlooking the gardens. Great experience.

Location is good, close to the lake and a short bike ride from the town center (great is that bikes are provided to explore the area). Design of the hotel is great (garden/pool etc.). Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Restaurants (incl. a high rated Michelin one) are good too. We appreciated it! Why then not 5 stars? At times the place is just too busy and guests might become a number. As English speaking couple we were addressed in German every single contact as the majority of the guests are German speaking, which means that nobody remembered you after being there for 3 days.
