Bad facility. Bad quality. Bad service. We wanted to stay outside to enjoy the mountain view, but water was not hot enough even in August. It was very disappointing. I definitely would not recommend this place for anyone. It was the biggest waste of money in Switzerland. The shower room sucks. There are not many shower compartment offering warm water. Oh my god, how cold it was after spa.

I'm really sad to leave this review, but I hope it can help Alpentherme in regaining the level of quality that it has lost. I don't know what happened, but I've been a client of this spa for almost 20 years and I've never seen such a situation. I summarize all the problems I saw in the following list: - water in both pools is cold, expecially the outdoor one that at night is barely sopportable. That's crazy to say for a termal bath - dressing rooms and restrooms dirty and bad curated - showers with only warm water. Also that is pretty crazy to say - most hairdryer broken or with cold air - some whirpools not working - lockers old or not working anymore - pool desk in the basement, with its orrible ceiling, leave me with no words - at night, no colored lights, but only two big halogens spotlights that you would use only at closing time to invite customers to leave the pool Finally, prize is even higher then Burgerbad, that gives you much much much more at a lower prize. So, if you don't see restoration works announcement after my review, my suggestion is, don't loose your money here.

So lovely. We especially appreciated the spa village (which opens at 3 Pm). It has sauna and peeling ceremonies at designated hours, and we were able to participate a sauna and bier experience, which was amazing. Be mindful, it's a nude zone. It came as a bit of a surprise for us. It is a little further from the main Leukerbad spa and a lot more quiet.

Very enjoyable place, from the numerous pools with massaging bubbles and jets to the wonderful restaurants and. Beautiful place tucked away in the Swiss mountains of Valais with views from almost every area of the baths. Relaxing place fully equipped with indoor and outdoor heated pools and a wellness center with saunas and massages. We keep going back....

The place could be beautiful if it was maintained properly. Almost no water comes out of some showers, and the water temperature could not be adjusted. One sauna was out of order, and the windows were dirty. However, the sauna (the ones which could be used) were beautiful, which merits an overall two stars.

A Disheartening Downfall at Alpentherme Leukerbad I am saddened to share my recent experience at Alpentherme Leukerbad, a spa once held in high regard and thoroughly enjoyed by many, including myself. The purpose of this review is not to tarnish the establishment's reputation, but rather to shed light on the current situation and inspire improvement. Upon arrival, it quickly became apparent that the facility had fallen into disrepair, giving off a sense of neglect and abandonment. Various sections featured duct tape as a temporary fix, and the ceiling in the entrance resembled a construction site. A closer inspection revealed messiness behind doors and the overall lack of maintenance throughout the facility. Compounding the issues, the facility only accepted cash for payment, which stands out as quite unusual and suspicious in today's increasingly digital world. Cleanliness was also lacking in the changing rooms and showers, which made using these fundamental amenities quite unpleasant. The pool area, which should have been a haven of relaxation, was far from the calming experience one anticipates at a spa. The space was notably crowded, and several guests displayed poor etiquette, such as speaking loudly, not showering before entering the pool, and using mobile phones excessively. Some jets in the pool were not functioning properly, the water temperature seemed not as warm as advertised. Additionally, the strange buoys in the pool were far from ergonomic and proved to be uncomfortable and useless. It would have been more reasonable to remove the uncomfortable buoyens instead of discontinuing the free shampoo that was still available just a few weeks ago. Security: The alarm button in the pool area has been reduced to just a hole with exposed cables. One can only hope that no one will ever need to urgently call for assistance while outdoors! In summary, my recent visit to Alpentherme Leukerbad was a massive disappointment, especially considering how much I used to enjoy this place. The neglect, lack of maintenance, and apparent disregard for customer satisfaction, combined with the decline in the relaxing atmosphere, make it difficult for me to recommend this facility to anyone in its current state. As a popular tourist destination, Alpentherme Leukerbad should represent the core values of Switzerland, and as a Swiss citizen, I feel genuinely sorry and embarrassed by the current state of this establishment. I sincerely hope that my review serves as a wake-up call for Alpentherme Leukerbad, encouraging them to address these issues and restore the facility to its former glory, thereby reflecting the true spirit of Swiss hospitality and quality.

The view from the pool is amazing. The sauna rituals are very cool but its just every 2h. If you buy 3h ticket you can catch just one. In sauna area it was a bit cold for me. They dont offer tower for free. The ticket is a bit overprised compared with the facilities.

Beautiful place. We spent half a day with friends in December. Tried all saunas and special fun was to go outside naked on the snow (no photos attached). Hot pool outside was fun and good view even in bad weather. Recommended!

Having read previous reviews we almost didn’t go to this spa at all. However it is in our opinion if you want to have a bit of a swim and enjoy the view and a chill the best one in leukerbad with the guest card. It is a bit rubbish that you can’t go into the Spa/or whatever they call it. They want an obscene amount of money to go also and since therme 51 has amazing spa facilities there isn’t much point. The changing rooms are a bit old school but totally fine, the lockers are quite quirky. Some people moaned about the on wall hair dryers not being hot but I think they operate as well as they were designed to (you will also find these elsewhere in leukerbad). Cleanliness. This was a concern from other reviewers however it’s fine. It’s pretty clean the showers are good. -they don’t give you shower gel here like in other spots. There are areas they could improve. Mostly needing regrouting at the top of the pool outside and some areas just want some maintenance in line with the quality of the building. However. It didn’t bother me that much as a leukerbad summer card user however would I have expected a higher standard of finish if I have to pay ~60chf for me and my wife. Maybe. so I can understand why some people have pointed it out…

Accessibility wasn't top and the entrance hard to find, but thanks to that we met a kind couple from Thailand and went together in the adventure. Teams were nice and welcoming, pools clean and tidy-up. Confortable place, not crowded even if there were some dailies excursions arriving by the late afternoon. We've met another very kind couple from Thailand and we're sorry we didn't exchanged more with them. Everyone was pretty nice and that just added up to the experience positiveness in my opinion. There was a small snow storm but the exterior pool was still inviting. If you keep an open mind and don't push expectations beyond the limit the experience will be awesome. In family, as a couple or alone. I don't have photos as I hadn't my cellphone with me because of it's low waterproof rate. Some visitors surely made some amazing photos and videos.

Highly recommended if you take the Romischer Bad and the Valiser Village spa. Amazing staff, for those facilities, as long as you speak english. Very positively surprised, esp. considering the negative reviews. Price/ quality was in line with expectations. Recommended

Great location and good facilities. Especially enjoyed the fantastic sauna facilities which had everything you could ask for. Very clean throughout the building and friendly staff as well. Many hotels offer a reduction to this Therme which is very lucrative (20 instead of 55chf for the full day pass!)

It was a pleasant visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. The water is just the right temperature 36 C. The view from the outside pool is fantastic.

Wow! I expected faded glory based on some of these reviews. The indoor pool is elegant, the outdoor pool has magnificent views of the mountains and the valley. The dressing area is rudimentary but clean. I have been to baths all over the world and would rate this as one of the best. Only thing missing was snow I saw in pictures. Note to self: return in winter!

Too small and way too costly for what you pay. In need of some overall repairs and maintanance all around. Better option with more value for money within the same village.

I love the place; thermal water at its best. Well there are yes issues with little things there and here; but they are doing their best. Thermal pools are very nice.

Nice views. Good facilities in the 2 basins, e.g jet flows, bubble seats, jacuzzi. Reception was friendly but understaffed (only one person). If a client in front asks for a massage you may wait 5 or 10 minutes.

Very mixed feelings about the Alpenterme. On one hand the spa (naked) area with the little wooden-huts/chalet style is very cute and quiet. Same goes for the Roman terms at the top (we were only the two of us!). On the other hand, the entrance, the changing area and main pools need a lot of maintenance, and cleaning! Elevators don’t work and there is always one of the sauna or hammam out of order. With a little of love and investment, this place could be majestic! But for now it’s just relatively mediocre

Okay. I avoided this place for so long based on the bad reviews here. Wish I had come much sooner because it's actually a great place. For sure, dated in places and some things need maintenance like the showers. The indoor pool is great, thermal pool is big and the views are just breathtaking. The biggest surprise was the sauna world which I did not expect to be as nice as it was. Overall fabulous day. I've been to Le Grand Bellevue Spa in Gstaad many times which is leaps above Walliser and a 5-star experience in every way, so I've been spoilt! I honestly don't think Walliser is as bad as it's being made it out to be. Just enjoy it for what it is and especially that view!!

I have seen the spa become worse over years. Many years back The Irish Roman Spa was a wonder that even Swiss health insurance would partly cover when choosing a massage. Over the time I have seen how the Ad libitum tea service was removed for a just one tea serving, then the door to the reading room broke and was removed, then the bio sauna broke and has not been repaired, and now all the lifts are broken. The soap massage is only a shadow of its former glory. The Yang pool needs a cleaning, looks like the water has not been changed in a long time. Not all showers work and many hair drying machines are broken. It is like a dying place lacking investment. Not really common of Swiss quality standard. How did it go so wrong?
