The UNESCO route is very nice. First a steep climb followed by a metal hanging bridge with stairs going down the stream. Do not forget the push button to illuminate the tunnel. Then a small bisse followed by the route down to niedergesteln.

Not much to see from the bottom of the waterfall, and getting to the top might take you a while. The path starts at the church close by, and at the intersection after the stairs I took a right and kept climbing until I gave up. Nice views and sunset but did not manage to get to the bridge from other photos. I assume I should have taken a left.

Nice walk, for adults and kids. A bit hard in the first part but feasible

Wonderful hike. You go from a dry, mediteranean like landscape to a lushious greenery on the upper part of the hike, culminating with some waterfall that you can admire.

Beautiful original small Swiss town, with a few beautiful walks up the hills. Be prepared for steep pathways!

We maakten vandaag deze prachtige wandeling: erlebniswanderung im UNESCO Weltnaturerbe. Na een steile klim die echt pittig is, heerlijk een vlak stuk langs een suone. We troffen een giftige adder...best eng...hierna kom je in de kloof, waar je via metalen trappen naar boven loopt. Het water kolkt echt langs je heen... In de tunnel kan er idd een lampje aan...wat leuk! Dan via de hangbrug naar de andere kant, en dan de route weer naar beneden...de koude cola hadden we wel verdiend toen we weer beneden stonden in het prachtige stadje, Niedergesteln.
