We booked the comfort room, which had a view of the mountains, but no balcony. It was quite nice. The bathroom in particular was very modern and the shower was huge. For breakfast, I let them know I was vegan ahead of time and they had a few special items for me for breakfast - that was very nice. It is located just about 15-20 minutes from Leukerbad and the guest pass will get you many discounts. The wine cellar is also very cool. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean, friendly personal at the reception, breakfast very good. Wish we would have stayed a bit longer, one day was too short.

We stayed here for a few days in September 2021, we enjoyed ths b&b very much. Varen is a small, but idyllic mountain village. The room was clean and modern, the breakfast was delicious and the woman of the reception was very kind. For diner I recommend to go to the city Sierre (10-15 minutes by car), there you have more choices for restaurants. Thanks again!

The building was renovated in 2016 by the local wine cooperative. It even has a lift. Full of character, but modern. Nice bedroom and bathroom, modern, clean. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. There's a wine cellar downstairs where you can taste all the local wines, so arrive early! There's also a wine trail around the village.

The room was excellent - comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. In general, we had a great time and we look forward to coming back.

A cozy and warm Bed&Breakfast nestled in the Swiss Alps -- less than a 30min drive from the center of Leukerbad. From the moment we reached out to B&B Zum Schleif through our checkout, Ruth and Valerie were professional, communicative, helpful and incredible welcoming hosts. They responded quickly answering all our questions about the region, flexibly helped us navigate room bookings for our party of 9 people, and even made reservations at local restaurants to help us with planning our stay. The venue itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed -- renovated amenities, gorgeous views of the Alps, a fully equipped wine cellar, and all around intricate attention to detail. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to celebrate our partnership filing with our families -- or any other occasion. We highly recommend this Bed&Breakfast and can't wait for another visit back!

Don’t add any requests that you aren’t prepared to pay for. I simply wanted the balcony if it was available - not to be charged for it. But I was charged for it without agreeing to this. Also parking is not free.
