Biel is quite okay but there are better cities in Switzerland for tourists to visit. If you visit Biel...take the "Rebweg" walk to La Neuveville. A beautiful senic walk through the vineyards.

It's cool place, but not late at night. Not enough security, lot of colourful personalities.

I travel to this city for visiting friends after 7 years.

People juge too mutch, need repairs more atention everywhere, teenagers are impolite and are everywhere, all schools have only bad influense

Easy to find and the is pay parking garage to the left of the train station entrance. Bike parking is crowded. There is a mini quick Co-op grocery market with all essentials including packaged sandwiches, breads, pastries & cold or hot drinks. A McDonald's is connected to the station outside on the right of the entrance. Hot chestnuts are being sold by the front entrance during winter. There is also a floral shop connected outside on the left, also some takeaway places inside with also a waiting room if you need to wait. If you go past the McDonalds in the building to the right it has a large grocery store called Aldi upstairs. They have great prices and shopping bags for sale there. Across the street from the train stations front entrance is a Burger King. Make sure to down load the apps for super deals on the fast food places. Food is 3 to 4 times more expensive in Switzerland as in America or Germany.

Great service at this train station. The SBB counter is conveniently open during the day, and the personnel is quite open-minded and happy to solve your issues/answer your questions. There's a couple of supermarkets working until late, which is especially great if you're arriving in the evening/night. Once you're out, there're multiple bus lines ready to take you to any part of the city. Wouldn't recommend visiting the area at night because of many questionable personalities starting their "shifts".

Took a cycling trip from Basel to Biel. The station is easy to navigate, and 'bike on board' service is always good. Do not forget to reserve a place for the bike (you can also do that via the SBB App).
