I have been a patient at this hospital twice and both time I experienced a very pleasant stay. The nurses and doctors are very attentive, professional and caring. Being from the U.S. And now living in Switzerland, i was nervous being treated in a foreign hospital, but everyone was so kind and made me feel at ease. On a second occasion I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Good who in my opinion is an exceptional human being with great bed-side manner and concern for my care. I am prone to anxiety and did not experience "any" while going thru this procedure. I am grateful to have such a great doctor and caring staff.

Meine Mutter, die bei mir zu Besuch war, wurde mit einem Unterschenkelbruch eingeliefert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich (vom Empfangsbereich, über die Kantinenmitarbeiter, über die Schwestern/ Pfleger bis hin zu den Ärzten). Bereits im Notfall wurde sie bestens versorgt und wir alle genau über das weitere Vorgehen informiert. Dr. Gerhard hat uns dann genau über die geplante OP informiert. Alles hat besten funktioniert. Auch beim anschliessenden Aufenthalt auf Station 2 hat sie sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team!

Durch die Bank sehr kompetentes Personal, vom Chefarzt über den Chirurgen, Assistenten bis zu den Pflegerinnen. Aufmerksam, freundlich. Die Beratungen durch den Chirurgen und den Anästhesisten waren allererste Sahnne. Die Küche ist Klasse und die Pflegerinnen genauso! Ein "Gerne wieder" verkneife ich mir aus naheliegenden Gründen... 😊 Es wäre eine abgrundtiefe Schande, wenn dieses Spital geschlossen würde!!!

Musste letzthin Mitten in der Nacht zu einem Notfall Check. Der Arzt aus dem Südtirol sowie die Notfallschwester waren sehr kompetent, menschlich, herzlich und professionell ! Nach zirka 2 Stunden inklusive einer abschliessenden Besprechung konnte ich das Spital wieder guten Mutes verlassen. Das war top und dafür möchte ich mich auch herzich bedanken. Ich wünsche dem ganzen team in Walenstadt eine erfolgreiche Zukunft unter der neuen Leitung die für die geamte Region einen grossen Mehrwert bietet !!!

I was advised to go to the Fontana Clinic in Chur - in this condition! Yes, the Walenstadt Hospital had contacted Fontana. However, this didn't help me. I just wanted a check of the inflammation levels AND MOST IMPORTANTLY painkillers (paracetamol) to relieve my pain. I couldn't go to the emergency room and had to deal with the pain until opening hours. Even the doctor was surprised at how the emergency was handled.
