Amazing medival themed bar! It's quite big for switzlerland and it also has a nicely done outside area (for those who like to smoke). They play mostly metal music, but during the week it's more at a background level, so you can also enjoy a dinner with friends. There is a small, but exqusite menu with very fair (swiss) prices. About 50:50 vegetarian/carnivorious meals. They have a chef, so its not just snacks. They have a huge choice of drinks (esp. mead, beers and their own nordic gods named cocktails), again for very fair (swiss) prices. Live music and events will follow soon! A place like that, simply didn't exist. Not only in the "Dreiländereck" area. I can't recall something similar in switzland, south germany and eastern france. Personaly i would only wish for a good non-alcoholic beer. Maybe a "Extra Herb", german Pils?

Atmosphere, visitors and staff are so-so and not so welcoming, but definitely visit the karaoke night once every month these are amazing!

Viking/metal bar. They have excellent, Norse mythology-inspired cocktails (I really liked the one called Hel), and also more classic ones. There is a pretty big private outdoor seating area. Staff was very friendly.

We really liked the place - friendly service, well-tapped Guinness / beers and great drinks. Also shout out to the super juicy chicken wings!

delicious. As a drink you have different choices. You can have different beers (also English beer), met (honey wine) or cocktails. The met they are giving from the barrel or you can  buy a bottle. When you are nerdy or you like quizzes. You can look when they have a quiz round. They have quizzes about Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and a lot more. They have a lot of seats inside and when it is nice, you can go out in the nice garden. In the garden you can smoke. Inside you also have good table soccer, where you can play against your friends or other visitors. At the weekend the bar is very well visited.

Good mead and food. If you are into rock and metal you will also like the music they play. The interior is very nicely decorated to justify the name of the bar. Highly recommended

The place and ambience is amazing if you like this viking style vibe. I would have liked to have served at the table but I can understand that not every pub can offer this service.

Only 4 stars cause there was a bit too much high school musical for a viking metal bar. But the bartender knocked it out of the park at singing Gnarls Barkley and mixing the drinks. Amazing voice!

Really cool decorations and close to the centre. Obviously the prices are high like in the rest of Basel, but it felt nice to have a beer there listening to some rock music. However, I have to say that I expected more metal, and the volume was quite low. I know it's not a disco, but I'm used to having louder music on the background when I'm at a rock pub...

We didn't eat there but the staff was super friendly and the beer was good. They have a games theme some nights

The food waiting is too long, have been waiting 45 minutes for a simple burger.

The only bar in the town with a charming atmosphere. All the others are similar to each other. I prefer a bit louder music but still fine.

Well I'm pretty tipsy now and it's all thanks to this place. Everything you'd expect from a metal bar plus a bunch of really cool decorations.

The theme of the bar is based on Norse mythology and features heavy metal music. The ambience was great and so were the cocktails. The bartenders were nice too.
