Places like Bao Steam Kitchen reminds me how low of a bar we have for good Chinese cuisine in Geneva. If you've had authentic xiao long baos or jiaozi dumplings before, any self respecting foodie would rate this as sub-par. How is the skin wrapping so thick? It's supposed to be condom film thin. It's also so tiny, the delicious soup inside hardly gave a mouthful. Whatever meat you chose hardly delivered enough texture contrast for satisfaction. The caramelised chicken baos were decent, however, it had good flavour. And I can not fault the service nor the decor, but it's a sad state of affairs when ignorant reviewers think this is the "best dumpling they've ever had." Please do yourself a favour and travel.

Love their dumplings, absolutely delicious! Freshly made dumplings with a soft dough, and the baozi had a very light and fluffy dough. My favorite was the lamb Xiao Long Bao with a delicious flavourful filling! I highly recommend this place for dumpling lovers! PS: prices are a little bit on the higher side for the portion sizes. Right in front of weekend market. The soup dumplings were a bit small but ok. Friendly staff.

The taste wasn’t as authentic as I thought it would be, the sweet and sour pork bao were tad bit dry, the dumplings were okay, I had ordered three mushrooms. The lemongrass and ginger infusion was mild and great for a rainy winter day but it’s a lot, we ordered two teas and couldn’t finish. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly.

Excellent food with great options for vegetarians. Loved the vermicelles with shitake and the eggplants raviolis. The service was exceptional.

Best place we have eaten in Switzerland. Staff was very friendly, the food was amazing and the prices quite cheap for Switzerland. Would highly suggest a visit!

This restaurant is a gem. Mixed choice of traditional or revisited freshly made Baozi and dim sum. Typical Asian ingredients are mixed with perfection so that every bite is an explosion of flavors. Professional & very friendly staff.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered a variety of baos (also have vegetarian options) and the seasonal one was very good as well. Vegetables were flavourful and crunchy. Service was friendly and helpful. We had a reservation and it was almost full when we showed up so we were glad for that! Had a great time and will be back to try more another time!

What a hidden gem!!! Easily one of the best places in Geneva for Bao & Dimsums. Lovely team. Excellent service. Awesome food.

Really my favorite restaurant in Geneva, the setting is magnificent (especially in the evening) the decoration is superb, a cosy and pleasant place to spend a nice evening. The staff is very nice and attentive. The food is simply delicious, the menu is regularly renewed to make us taste new tastes and seasonal products. I recommend to go with several people (4) for the first time so that you can taste more things since it is about sharing baskets. This notion of sharing is also very playful. Personally I find that the xia long bao with pork is a safe value with a lot of taste. I especially love the fried noodles with mushrooms and the desserts are delicious. The wine list is also very attractive with wines at very good prices, very nice references (including Hermitage La Chapelle by Paul Jaboulet aîné, Come tù by René Barbier). Really not a place to be missed in Geneva, both at the junction and at the rive where parking and public transport are nearby.

Service is excellent. We were hungry so obviously the Bao were hardly enough to fill us up. However, the taste made up for the quantity. 😀

Very tasty good, fresh and good quality food and good ambience. While the food preparation was quick, the servers seemed understaffed (just 2 servers for a packed restaurant)....so do expect a longer wait time to be attended. Price wise it's on the high end but it is surely worth it if you are not on a budget. Reservation recommended!!

Had the absolute best waiter who explained the menu in his charming frenglish and delivered us some delicious buns. I'm no expert but these hit the spot.

Best dumplings in town! The restaurant offers a selection of dumplings (dim sums, bao and xia long bao) that are simply the best I had in Europe. The set-up is great, the staff very friendly, and they are opened on weekends! We went for a nice evening as a couple and they really made us feel like at home. I highly recommend the Nutella dim sums and the pork xia long bao. They also have a great selection of local wines and they made us discover fantastic sakes. Don't miss it!
