BEWARE: this hotel (if it can be called that) is truly a rip off. It claims to be a Marriott but lacks all the amenities and features of a real Marriott I.e Marriott prices and cheap hostel quality. Rooms were dirty, housekeeping skipped a day. This place feels like IKEA designed a cheap hostel and somehow fooled Marriott corporate with becoming a partner. Cheap experience, cheap service, and customer service was non-existent. -no A/C (they told me “I can open the window” because it’s not like they are next to a 24/7 train station that runs all night -plugged sink -poor housekeeping service -no refrigerator in the room -no free water or upgrade as the website indicates for Marriott gold members -breakfast was almost $40 and tasted like something from McDonald’s dollar menu. Truly laughable…

False information in the description, there is no air conditioning!! In the hotel description air conditioning is mentioned, however when we got the room it was too hot. We initially thought that the AC is broken, but when asked the reception, they mentioned it’s not actually an AC and it’s more of a fan!! The guy at the reception was like we already know that the description is not correct and we got complaints from other customers as well. He suggested opening the window, but this hotel is by the train station so you can’t really leave the window open as trains are loud. When I was looking to book hotels, I specifically chose the AC filter since it is very important for us. There were rooms much cheaper than this which had no AC but I paid more for this hotel because I thought it does have an AC!! I personally think this is a fraud and they should be honest in their description. Also when I asked the guy at reception to talk to the manager about this matter, he mentioned my behaviour to talk to a manager is an American thing to do. He specifically mentioned North Americans always wanna talk to the manager and want to be happy, but Europe is not like that! I don’t think that’s a really good response. Of course customer satisfaction should be very important to you. I travel a lot and have been to different hotels all around the world. This experience by far has been my worst hotel experience

Worst hotel for travelers. This isn’t a hotel it’s a hostel. Basic amenities aren’t available. Rooms are small, Beds are small and hard, no phone, no closets, no toiletries lotion etc… No recognition of highest elite status or care. Smoke comes into your room from other rooms when it’s non smoking room. Worst customer service and care. This should not be a Marriott branded hotel. They try to charge and overcharge for everything. If your an international traveler they will charge you 3% commissions to make more money. Lots of shady management which have no understanding of hospitality, care for loyalty and status. If I could give negative starts I would.

Loved this hotel! Very clean, the staff was really nice and helpful, and the lobby had a pretty cool vibe. Regarding the location, while it is not in the center of Bern, you get there super quick. The train station is literally right next to the hotel and you also have other types of transportation nearby. I liked it so much that I already booked another stay. Recommend!

Great service, my clients were happy. Just next to COOP supermarket Simple and there are many spaces for relaxing or just short working. There is table outside for smoker. Simple decoration.

Moxy is a hotel near to the business center of the post and sbb. Cool and fresh location with some very good local beers. There is the possibility to reserve a meeting room. The rooms are well dimensioned, the bathroom also comfortable and there is a good hairdryer for the guests. Special: on the floors there is a ironing room in case you want to prepare your business suits. Breakfast and service okay. Price is very competitive for the location.

What a fun hotel! The check-in staff have great vibes and even welcomed us with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink complimentary. The lobby is quite active and has lots of games and great spots to co-work or start your night off with a drink. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Everything feels brand new and the bed was comfy.

Moxy hotels are all the same so you know what you get. I have stayed here a few times and the location is great next to train station. Don’t get a room on 1st floor over lobby, the music in the lobby doesn’t seem so loud but the speakers on the ceiling sounded like a dance club under my room with the concrete structure. Would recommend management set a volume limit in lobby after 10. It was too loud until midnight. Get a room higher than 1st floor if you want a quiet 🤫 room👍

This a newer Marriott hotel similar to their Aloft Line. Definitely a young hip vibe. The hotel is new and in great shape. The room had a queen bed and a 2 person sleeper along with a private bath. Despite being near a train station, the room is super quiet. The only negative was the 2 person sleeper mattress was very hard. Location was a bit outside of the historical downtown, but being next to the train station and offering a transportation card made getting into the city easy. The breakfast was amazing with hot food, cold food, local cheeses, meats and bread. The waitstaff was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Will certainly not hesitate to stay there again.

We had a great stay thanks to the friendly staff. Particularly Ivan who made us feel very welcome. The hotel is next to the train and tram station that gets you into town in no time. Great breakfast as well with a great variety of things to eat and lots of alternative milk!!

We stayed here for a total of 3 nights in two different occasions. Both experiences were awesome. From checking in to our departure. The staff was super friendly and helpful The room was spacious..clean. super quiet. The Internet connection was fast, reliable and instant.yye bathroom was clean. Spotless. Great value overall. The location is a bit out of the distance from the old Town (approx 10-15min bus ride).

Great value for the price and a good, quiet location within Bern. Short ride via public transit to Old Town (public transit is included), and one stop away from a football stadium for any fans. Room was spacious and had everything we needed, and the lobby was social as well. Smart TVs are always a plus too.

Beware: If you stay here, pay very close attention to your Marriott Bonvoy account and also your credit card. First of all, they never credited me my elite night and points for my stay. I was able to get Marriott customer service to intervene and credit me for the stay. But something far worse happened. There was a second unexplained charge on my credit card. I called them up and they asked if anyone else stayed with me in a separate room. I was traveling solo, and only had one room for one night. Apparently, they charged someone else's room to my credit card. This is a charge that still hasn't been reversed (13 days after my stay). I'm not sure if these guys are extremely incompetent at their job or if they are dodgy swindlers trying to overcharge and also not credit you points in hopes you don't notice. Either way, they've wasted my valuable time and energy.

Nice hotel. Great ambiance with amazing artistic design. The staffs are also nice, they speak English well. The only downside is that they don't have a fridge and electric kettle inside the room. The breakfast is nice but you need to be early because you will ran out of food, as I noticed they don't refill it.

Enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning. Comfortable modern space great for work and/or play with tasty breakfast (gluten frei options available also!) and next door to a train station so transit is easy. Recommend to someone passing through as we did. Glad we stopped by.

Any kind of accident would be a good review depending on how it was handled, but this time that didn't happen at the hotel. In the middle of the night, the fire alarm started ringing in my room and the hallway. I rushed outside, along with other guests who were also distressed. Time passed and the elevators began to operate again, but there was no explanation, which was surprising. I saw a few people who looked like firefighters talking with some guests, but couldn't understand well, and many were still confused. Following the flow, I went to the lobby, only to find that they were busy with new check-ins and serving drinks at the bar. I was astounded that there was absolutely no explanation given to me. More care should be shown to those who were unpleasantly awakened. When I complained, the hotel's response was a steadfast 'it's not our problem, so we can't do anything.' There was no explanation as to why the alarm sounded, nor any discussion of how to prevent it from happening again. All I got was 'we don't know.' As a guest, I think the least they could do is investigate why the alarm went off. It's troubling if it happens again in the middle of the night. The way they ended it with just a 'sorry' is so very 'Moxy' of them. Consistently casual, modern, and cool, right? Hilarious.

No terrible experiences, everything was ‘OK’ but nothing impressed. I’m not sure this is the hotels fault, it might just be ‘Moxy’ is not for me. The Good; the bed was very comfortable and it’s ideal for local station & stadium. The ‘Meh’; really small pillows, if you turn over in the night, your head falls off them; A/C is not A/C, it just blows regular air, it doesn’t cool the air; Room was overly warm without heating, but without cooled air I had to open window, which resulted in a noisy room; Weird blinds that opened and closed electronically, ON THEIR OWN ! VERY VERY SLOW draining of sink; Thought breakfast buffet was over priced for options/quality (better grab something from COOP next door). Cheapest parking 25 CHF per night :O

This hotel is nice. Very clean very warm open and inviting. The bar is cool too especially if you like sitting out in the sun. The staff friendly professional typical European staff if you know what I mean they may be a few who's taken their job a little bit too serious. A few of them may need a few days off LOL... Like us all! I like this place and I endorse it and I would stay there again and again, and their fitness club is amazing just enough to get what you need done done. Kenny

The Moxy is located in an urban semi-office park, right on the main train and bus lines. Incredibly easy to get anywhere in the city. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are perfect for what we needed, and the location is killer.

We stayed for a weekend and loved it! The service was great, the bedroom was super cute and very clean. Breakfast was included and diversed. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

Great location, directly next to train station Wankdorf. Very quiet at night. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Coop store directly next to the hotel. Just 1 stop to Bern main train station. Would definetly come back here.

  • 5/5 Claudio K. 9 months ago on Google
Very nice "live with style" hotel, focussing on down to earth decorations. Part of the Marriott chain (which isn't obvious). Situated a bit outside of the city center in the Wankdorf neighborhood. Quick train ride to main station (and therefore city center) takes 3-4 min. It's a business area with restaurants focussing on businesses hours, that's a shame. If you want to have a bite nearby in the evening there's only a bar across the plaza - or you go with frozen food/quick bites from the hotel bar. Service/personnel was always very friendly. Loved the clean and quiet room. Very nice shower! It's a bit frustrating to not be able keep the bathroom door open, but otherwise the room was nice and well equipped. A real chair would have been nice to work though. Fitness area in the basement is unfortunately not nice. Very bad air in it, small and almost no machines. Seen other guests walk in, look around and leave again immediately.

This is the only hotel available in Bern as a Marriott chain. Service was great and very supportive staff. Very accessible location as very near to train station with one stop away from main train station in Bern. Rooms was not that spacious but it is the kind of rooms you see across the Europe. I have one issue of getting halal Muslim food in the area and have go to other places like Bern to get it. Overall experience was very good and will recommend it.

Clean and friendly, good indoor climate, everything works. Small minus for the hard/stiff mattresses. Parking worked fine, train into the city took 3-5 minutes and departed frequently even on a Sunday.

  • 5/5 Paul J. 8 months ago on Google
Guests get a free Bern travel pass so whilst it’s out of town it’s really convenient. Quiet location and handy supermarket next door. Rooms and hotel are super modern. Basement car parking makes it a great place for breaking a journey.

I loved the general atmosphere and ambience.. the staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean, and the cleaning service is thorough and gentle. I felt like I was at home. I loved their shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. The breakfast is a perfect selection of health and tasty foods in just the right quantities. My favorite part are the games left out for anyone to play with and most of all their Mascot the cow Mooooo.

I stayed at the hotel on the 21st of Feb 2023 In room 517 the service was not good at all I came down asked for a pillow and I was told to wait I was waiting in the reception area for 1hour 20min there was two colleagues there non of them left there computers I had got late for my meetings in the morning I spoke to the manager following morning told her and her answer to me was that I don't know what to do well if you are the manager you should know what to do I will not recommend to anyone to stay there I traveled from England all the way there this was the worse bit about it not happy and fuming! And there is no air-conditioning in the rooms !

Not close to much. The rooms are tiny, no fridge so can't bring home any of the left overs from your $30+ meals (which is the norm. For any restaurant food) the staff was helpful and friendly. Definitely some language barriers here and there which made a few things a little difficult but never frustrating because everyone was always so nice. There's a COOP next door which helped cut down a little on costs. The beds were horrible. They were clean but it was like sleeping on a brick. The atmosphere here is very unique. more a younger modern vibe. Breakfast was always good, had a good selection. Very much appreciated most of the staff always so friendly.

Best part about this hotel is the location, you are right next to station with trains and trams to the city every 5-10 mins. Easy to recommend to stay.

  • 5/5 Jai S. 10 months ago on Google
The only point for improvement World be the location. You need to take the public transport to go to the city center. The rooms are pretty big and clean. The breakfast is great with a lo of variety of foods and the service is amazing. When you arrive to do the check in, they invite you to a drink of your choice. Atmósfera is great. I loved it.

You can’t beat this stay for the price and value! The breakfast offered is $20chf but for what they offer, it’s the best! Probably the cheapest meal you’ll find in all of Switzerland and you’ll walk away stuffed. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little away from old town but it’s easy to get to. Highly recommend

Modern and sleek rooms, very quiet even next to Train Station with active platforms. Very well equipped exercise room in basement. Not many restaurants here are open on weekends. Did find a good pizza place about 500 m walk . Parking fee is paid each time on exit, to a kiosk. No hotel discounts. Room was too warm in the winter, even with heat off..had to open windows.

Conveniently located next to the train station and close to a number of bus stops. Rooms are spacious. Concept is less business than some of the other Marriott brands but staff always welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is ok but nothing spectacular.

Hana and Stefan have the most incredible work ethic and customer service. They both were running the entire hotel, bar, and restaurant on a Saturday night; flawlessly. They are the reason this hotel gets 5 stars. Thank you both so much for making our stay and experience perfect!

A very well located hotel very close to the center of Bern, and directly in front of the train, tram, and bus stations. The hotel is very stylish and the rooms are very convenient. There are no safe boxes in the rooms though. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A grocery store is right under the building.

  • 4/5 Marc Di C. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were tiny but clean. The bar's food was not really worth it, but the simple breakfast was good enough. The fitness room is a joke. Seriously, I laughed when I entered. The one or two staff i saw while i was there were all really nice, though. Right by the sbahn station, which is pretty convenient, unless you like to sleep with the windows open.

  • 5/5 M. K. 1 year ago on Google
Nice clean and stylish hotel. Check-in was very easy late night. Breakfast was simple but good - coffee machine could be improved no barista coffee. Price was a bit high. All in all good for a business stay. Nice lounge area.

  • 3/5 Aamna A. 1 year ago on Google
the hotel was good, loved the service and the theme of the hotel and there were many options to choose from for breakfast, lobby had fun activities. BUT, the ac could not be controlled and it was incredibly hot in the rooms which affected my sleep, and the bathrooms had no locks for privacy which hard due to me sharing a room with a kid, the bathroom was great other than the locks and great choice of shampoo, there were also no closets for our clothes or bags but over all i recommend for a quick fun pit stop during a road trip. also important to know, it’s right by a train track which was quite loud but i know the hotel can’t control that

The staff was really nice and friendly, there was something wrong with our booking, but they took their time to help us get it all sorted, and even offered us drinks whilst we were waiting and explained to us what each of the drinks were, as we had no idea what they were. The hotel was very modern arty and cool, the rooms were clean, the shutters on the blinds was very good at blocking out the sun, unfortunately they auto open at sunrise which woke me up instantly. The breakfast was cheap, pretty usual stuff, we had to queue a long time for the food though. Car park available, but need to pay - not that expensive.

Location is nice and convenient. Staff was good on one day bad on the other, it really depended on who was at the desk. Rooms are good, they are moxy so you know what you get. however we could hear every word of a conversation our neighbors were having about their shopping trip the next day from our bed.. which was really not nice

  • 5/5 Mays A. 1 year ago on Google
Didn’t get to take any pictures as I was tired of traveling but.. the hotel was cool. Had the best sleep. The beds very comfortable, clean and smells so good. As always staying in Moxy is awesome after a long trip
