A wonderful chocolate experience, especially if you are a lover of Lindt. The centrepiece is a dramatic giant whisk of eternally flowing chocolate. A self-guided tour then takes your through the origins and history of chocolate, before revealing how Lindt produce their own and letting you eat as much as you want (seriously). Finally, the gift shop has as much chocolate on offer as you could ever wish for. I cannot give five stars, as this is my fourth chocolate “experience” globally and in the others I have either been able to look through glass into the actual factory producing bars at an incredible rate or, even better, I was able to create my own bespoke bar of chocolate into a mould including the strength, flavouring and toppings… surely the perfect gift for a loved one! Alas, neither are possible here, which offers a slightly more sterile look at chocolate. Overall if you’re in a rush you can definitely do everything in less than an hour (though maybe skip the audio guide, which is the only thing that really slows you down), otherwise expect to be there for around an hour and a half. There are plenty of self-service free lockers for coats and bags inside too. A delicious experience, well worth a visit if you are in Zurich and don’t mind a short journey south of the city. If you found my review or photos helpful, please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thanks!

We went twice during our short trip to Switzerland, that must mean it was pretty good hey, or we really loved eating excessive amounts of Lindt chocolate... Either way, it is definitely worth a visit. You go through a tour of the history of chocolate and of Lindt. You then enter a room where you can taste the liquid chocolate, yum yum. Then further on you get to taste various bars of chocolate and can try guess the flavour. Towards the end there are big containers full of the Lindt balls. You can only eat them while you are there, however we saw many people shoving huge amounts into handbags (we too may have taken a pocket full). We also did one of the chocolate 🍫 making classes. This was so much fun. Heinz was the perfect teacher. The room is stunning, quite theatrical. We laughed, we ate and we had a really fun afternoon. Go try it.

Most important information: You get a bunch of chocolate for free! Well, not really for free because you pay 15 euros to get in, but it's a fair price considering the experience and the chocolate. You will see how the cocoa is produced, collected prepared and shipped. You will learn the history of chocolate, how it evolved along the years and also get some data about chocolate consumption around the world. Then it comes the best part, chocolate testing. You get it melted, in bar and bonbons. I recommend the visit.

Most amazing chocolate tour I have ever seen. Upon walking into the facility, you are greeted by a breathtaking REAL chocolate fountain (holding a record for the biggest) and the wafting smell of tasty chocolate all around. The chocolate tour thoroughly explains the making, history and complexity of Lindt chocolate. Towards the end of the tour comes the best part. The chocolate tasting. First, you encounter three chocolate fountains (white, milk and dark) and are allowed as much liquid chocolate as you please. Following the decedent melted chocolate tasting is an area where you may put your hand under a machine that will grant you a square of chocolate, and may guess the flavour. Next comes a room with many Lindt chocolate balls of all different flavours, but unfortunately they ask you don’t take any OUT of the room. (unless you’re feeling a little mischievous) To appropriately finish off the tour, there is a chocolate surprise which I won’t spoil if you go. I 100% recommend this tour, absolutely do this if you are visiting Zurich.

Very good experience. Its shows full history of how chocolate was found and how it got into modern world. I was amazed on the making of the chocolate. The chocolate tasting during the tour and surprise gift at the end of the tour was amazing. The entry is 15franks and its very cheap for the experience you get in the museum. Would highly recommend to go.

Wow. If you ever feel the need to know more about the process, history and behind the scenes of Lindt coffee this place is for you. As an added bonus you get to eat chocolate along the tour. Building itself is stunning architecturally. Staff are very warm and friendly. I myself am not the biggest chocolate fan, although I can appreciate what they’ve done here. Can get busy at times. Parking is simple and very clean.

Super amazing visit. I had a guided tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and super empathic towards different cultures and the group barriers. There were different centuries of chocolate tasting as well as different types. At the end we tried different truffles style. Very enlightening experience. Definitely worthe the money and trip.

My visit to Lindt Home of Chocolate was delightful. The tour wasn't too long, and the audio guide was helpful in enhancing my understanding. Tasting a variety of chocolates was a highlight, and the extensive boutique and spacious cafe ensured I found what I was looking for. The impressive chocolate fountain added to the experience. Getting there from Zurich was easy – a quick train ride and a short 10-minute walk guided by clear signs from the train station. I highly recommend it!

Very interesting, very beautiful, very interactive modern museum. Make sure to have a bottle of water with you, as they let you taste different chocolates and bonbons and at some point you are just stuffed with delicious chocolate. It is also important to book in advance as we couldn’t buy ticket online on the same day, but decided to go and check the fountain anyway. To our luck there was a cancellation, so we got tickets but had to wait 2,5 hours for our turn to enter. Great experience, a must if you are in Zurich.

Wow so many chocolate samples to try during the tour. The gift shop and cafe had good options and good prices. Loved learning about the chocolate process and history. Very fun and engaging tour. I do with I had been able to see chocolate being made for real though. Just videos and equipment not running. Maybe it runs at other times?

During a visit to Zurich we decided to plan a visit to Lindt Home Of Chocolate. The attraction is very easy to get to by bus and train - you can even walk along the lake to it in just over an hour if you want to work up an appetite. As you arrive you’re greeted by a very modern building that’s both beautiful and impressive. The main atrium of the attraction is huge, and features a stunning Lindt fountain centrepiece. The tour itself is a self-guided journey through the history of chocolate, before getting on to the history of Chocolate in Switzerland and of course, the history of Lindt. It’s an interesting exhibit and features plenty of information, my only comment is it would be good to see a few more interactive elements. The audio-guide system is also very good and worth doing too. There was plenty of chocolate on offer throughout the experience, including trying a variety of melted chocolates, a taste testing station, and finally at the end a huge array of their classic Lindt balls to try. You could have as many as you wanted whilst in those areas of the tour, so you won’t leave wanting any more chocolate, that’s for sure! The final section of the tour looks at their development process which was very interesting. Overall, we spent about an hour on the tour. There is also a cafe and very large shop onsite. The whole experience is well worth the price, and there is also the added bonus of all the delicious Lindt chocolate you can eat. If you’re visit Zurich you should certainly be adding Lindt Home Of Chocolate to your itinerary.

Such a nice place, a little troubling for the tickets but I guess it’s normal on specific days. A nice experience for kids and adults as well, already been twice and we plan to take part at the courses next! It’s such a memorable experience to live if your visiting Zürich. I would recommend to book the tickets in advance because especially in the summer period they are sold out really fast!

Its the best chocolate tour we had, its was fun, its very interesting. We had a special tour with guide its more expensive but totally worth it. Lady was very nice and super energetic. Normally you do tour your self, but buying special tour you learn more and you can try different things and taste how chocolate was improved. I really recommend.

Definitely worth a visit, it is a real special chocolate experience ! You can easily get there from downtown Zurich by train, from the stop it is about a ten-minute walk. For those who want to experience the tour in more depth, there is an audio guide in several languages, the history of chocolate and the history of Lindt is explained, you go through some rooms where there are machines for liquid chocolate creams and bars that you can taste as much as you want, and they are all delicious! Then in the last room you can even get the classic Lindt chocolates for free! There is also a glass window from which you can see the factory's production processes in real time. You leave through the shop, which is also worth a visit.

Amazing experience overall, and the free chocolates and tastings in the tour were great. However, one thing that could be improved is the crowd control for how many people go on the tour at once because I felt it was a bit too crowded, and some exhibitions were hard to see.

The foyer and the videos are perfectly made. The shops are full of chocolates you haven't even heard of. A huge variety of selection of chocolates for sure. And they do have an outlet as well. Sadly, we didn't know we had to book tickets in advance, so we didn't get into the museum. 😞 Probably next time when the same visitors are coming back.

I didn’t buy tickets in advance, but I went on a weekday, so lineups were not that bad. It is quite informative and there are a lot of chocolates for you to try. The audio guide was cool and high tech. Although maybe a guide would be more personable. But for me, with the money saved I got more chocolates.

It was a really nice family experience! You get to learn a lot about the history of chocolate and how it’s made. I especially liked the part where you got to learn about how Switzerland basically “conquered” the chocolate industry. I would’ve liked to get more chocolate though! The guys kinda got upset if you took more than a couple Would totally recommend though!

Really great experience here. We got tickets for both the chocolate making as well as the museum tour. The website mentioned not to come in on sold out days however we tried our luck and were manage to easily purchase tickets at the door. Make sure you go in hungry as there are a lot of free tastings of the different types of melted chocolate as well as free Lindt balls at the end.

I didn't realise you needed to reserve tickets online in advance for the chocolate tour, but other reviews mentioned a limited amount of walk in tickets available. I made sure to get there right on opening time 10am and easily got a ticket for the 10:30 slot (thank god, it's the main reason I came to Zurich 😅). Really interesting exhibits and love that they include the history of all the main Swiss chocolate brands in addition to Lindt. But by far the best part is all the chocolate tasting included in the tour! And they don't seem to police it too carefully so it really is all you can eat. I feel sick now, 💯 no regrets 🍫

Playful and interesting visit, crossing of history as well as part of the production, more than generous tasting. Kids and adults super happy! Comfort parking is underground ~10 F. And you should go outside, because the smell of chocolate is everywhere. Take the time to go there!

Loved it so much the first time, that I visited a second time! This was the perfect place to spend my layover in Zurich. I loved the sweet treats along the way, as well as the sweet ending to the museum tour. I learned a lot of new things about the chocolate industry and its history, managed to sample so many lindt chocolate flavors I haven't seen elsewhere before and came across many items in the shop that wasn't available elsewhere. I loved the experience and would recommend it. I found it easy to get to from the airport as well. There is a second shop with even more deals in the parking lot. I loved the cafe and the items offered there. The bonus was that there were free lockers to store your luggage.

Nice experience with the family, kids loved it. Quite expensive but a must for chocolate lovers. I liked the set up, for most people the best part is the chocolate tasting and free chocolate pieces with different tastes, not to mention the pralines.....

Informative about both the history and processes involved. Sufficient chances to taste. The production line was visible but not working on the Saturday we visited. The course (extra cost) was great fun and well run. Easy access by bus or boat from central Zurich.
