Food is way too overpriced, the only good things to highlight were the arancini and the pizzas are cooked well. The eggplant parmigiana tastes nice but 2/3rds is just the sauce - why not serve it with some bread? The pasta is also very undercooked, not even close to al dente which is a shame cause it has good flavour. Portions are too small for the price paid. Appreciation for the waiting staff, very good service and polite but the lady at the front who "attempted" to help us with signing in was pretty rude and aggressive like damn, I'm just trying to have some nice dinner. If you're not a member, prepare to get grilled for no reason but the other worker on duty was great. If you work the front desk, shouldn't you be welcoming since you create the very first impression of the business? Unfortunately, a bit of a let down

@Amanda - In response to your Review! I have just read your review, and to say that I am mortified about your false accusations is an understatement! You have not only falsely accused a man but named the person who you allege conducts himself as “a sleazy singer”. It is completely untrue to allege that male board members are shielding Tom. Do you know that the CEO is a woman and oversees these board members? Though I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at, it seems like you're implying that they're all working together to form a kind of "men's club" solidarity. It's interesting that you revised your piece to accurately state that Tom has been employed by the club for 29 years. During that time, he has never been subjected to derogatory remarks or insults from others for simply going about his business. You are now putting yourself in an unfavourable position where you could face a lawsuit for defaming someone without any supporting documentation other than what your parents have told you orally. I am a friend of Tom’s however, I have not spoken to him in about six weeks, I came across this review by another person who told me about it. Even if there is a picture of you at the Club, how are you going to explain Tom kissing people on the mouth, pushing himself up against women, and generally acting creepy? Are you directly acquainted with him? For almost thirty-two years, I have known Tom, his wife, their children and grandchildren. You are damaging a man's reputation in addition to making unfounded accusations against him and on what grounds.... your inflated viewpoints? As a woman, I find this post to be utterly inappropriate, repulsive, and smug. Tom will receive strong legal advice from me regarding this matter, and I will also direct him to speak with a defamation attorney to restore his reputation.

I have personally know Tom for over 30 years and to date he is the most amazing, respectful, caring human I know. His character and charisma is beyond words and the energy he brings with his music and personality is the absolute greatest! The happiness you feel in the room whilst Tom is singing away brings this total joy that no money can buy. Allegations like this are completely disgusting and there must be other motives behind this. This place has really gone down hill recently under the new management. The food in the bistro is totally over priced and of average quality and the bar has a very poor and limited range of drinks. The management have absolutely no idea about customer service and hire the most incompetent and comical floor staff. I have been a member here for many years, but since the new management has come in, I will never return. They totally ruined my family’s night recently due to their comical incompetence, and when I made a complaint, the ‘CEO’ called and argued with me. There are so many better club options in the area than this place. It is a very sad story as I used to very much like it here. The Chinese restaurant is still very good though. I fear for their future under this current management though.

Very average food, they need a new chef. Restaurant was pretty empty for a Club, this place should be pumping for a Sunday lunch like when we use to come here years ago. Ordered 7 dishes & only 1 was nice

The food and environment were excellent. The only disappointment was the front service. We came here on Tuesday night. One of us didn't bring ID. She gave us terrible tone and bad attitude. We decided to leave but she let us in at the end. We're definitely not going back

Ordered the cheese burger & the texture of the burger can only be described as tasting like it was raw mush. It wasn't raw but just the texture was horrible. Just full of moisture. Probably cooked then frozen & not defrosted very well- at all!. I complained & was given a replacement which wasnt much better. My advise is just pick something else.

I have been a member of this beautiful club for close to 15 years I have seen it grow from a peaceful club a bit stale at first to a massive change for the better today thanks to new CEO AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS THAT HAVE GIVEN THE CLUB a much needed improvement . And that’s what we now have great entertainment , dancing, great coffee, brasserie has improved and the food is great, the Chinese restaurant serves good tasty food. I found the staff very friendly and ready to help , all I can say now is come and visit and enjoy the atmosphere of Canada bay club. From a very happy member

Went here for a Sunday lunch for a birthday celebration. Bring an ID if you are not a member and you leave more than 5 km away from the place. My order was Chicken Boscaiola. The grilled chicken is from the breast part which was okay. The sauce brought everything together for the dish. The amount of chips was also okay. For the price, it was a bit on the high side but I guess that should be expected.

Shocking staff, even worse managment. Staff stand there not working and too busy gossiping about other staff infront of customers. They then look at us because we are waiting to be served, and thier decision is to continue gossiping right infront of us, Managment is even worse, this girl came and joined in on the gossip. Very unprofessional. Could never support a business that allows of this. Edited

I'm very sick of the misinformation and I think it needs to be known that Tom (the Canada Bay Club singer) has been suspended for 2 weeks due to his inappropriate and predatory behavior. He failed to admit this when telling the audience he would not be playing for two weeks. However it should be known that his suspension is due to him starting a fight with a club patron. These suspensions I understand are not done lightly but well done Canada Bay Club for addressing the problem. Tom has now been banned from kissing women and touching patrons generally. I know I feel a lot safer. Now lets get a new singer, who respects people and re-start the party!

A place we love going too with wonderful food and service. Christmas was beautiful and love the extra they organised to make it even more special.

I quite enjoyed this place a while ago, it seemed to have a friendly and community based atmosphere, the staff looked happy and lively and the food wasn’t too bad! I specifically remember a couple of staff members, who were always friendly and helpful, no longer around as much and began to look miserable. One of them had been there for many years and was proud to have informed me he won employee of the year once. I also noticed this happening to other staff members, that the liveliness seemed lost, and it seems the new management made this place really toxic. Sadly I won’t be returning as it’s seems pretty obvious what has happened. I also noticed a couple of other reviews about this, so was able to out the pieces together, that were strangely deleted and feel this club is trying to hide something. Shame on you all.

Great facility in a unreel location with a beautiful view. Staff are very helpful. I went to a conference there and it was set up very nicely. Had all the services snacks coffee. I would definitely have a function there.

Thanks to Aniko who was very helpful in arranging my function in the bistro. The food was great, service was excellent . We will definitely be back - highly recommend Canada Bay Club for everyone, especially families with kids.

Nice venue and great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and make the experience quite enjoyable. The food is desent and reasonably priced. The quality of the meals is simplistic at best and I question the freshness of some of the seafood meals. Would I go back? Yes but only because of the beautiful venue and wonderful staff.

I went to the Chinese Restaurant and had a horrible experience. staff was not friendly at all, they were trying to away our plate while we were still eating, they were rushing us and other customers around us. The food was not tasty at all. The fried rice just came like boil white rice. I also ordered a whole fish and there was no meat inside, only a few table spoons. And the Mongolian lamb had very little meat and filled the plate with onions instead I don't recommend this place, waste of money and time.
