Hickson House Distilling had excellent food and exceptional drinks. My husband and I came here for a mid-week date night and it was great! We both enjoyed our food. He ordered a lamb entree, barramundi as a main, and an old fashioned. I ordered the steak and chips with a Negroni. The service was good and the staff were friendly.

Great Gin, food, and service! An eclectic ambiance, great music and happy vibes. Good Weekend hang out. Bit of a treat as it is a little pricey, but worth the experience.

Hickson House is a great Gin Distillery in the Rocks. The layout is fun and a lot to look at. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was cooked to perfection and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The bar staff are quick with orders and great at offering suggestions if you want to try something new. Thank you so much and I will be back soon.

Amazing place down in the rocks. We went here initially to beat the heat on Australia Day, but ended up staying for the amazing cocktails and delicious Kingfish Ceviche. The bartender Alberto is amazing at his job and is super friendly as are the other staff. We are thinking of having our wedding reception here, we were impressed.

We took the opportunity for a distillery tour. Excellent value and informative, it included a g&t upon arrival (Hickson's classic dry gin). The team followed up with a tasting paddle of four gins, also included. We were the only two booked for the tour, so it was a more private affair with Chessie. We followed with a classic martini, Chessie kindly taking us through her process... educational and delicious, with some mixed olives (RSA and all!). The Hickson's team are attentive, professional, and certainly engaging... only too keen to share their gin wisdom. Highly recommended for the tasting experience. The food coming out of the kitchen looked the goods too!

October 2023: On our next visit to Sydney we couldn't miss returning to Hickson House. This time we enjoyed the 'bottomless lunch' - the two course meal was ample to feed us for the main meal of the day (the chicken so succulent and the potatoes lovely and crispy outside, and fluffy inside). You choose from their three main gin expressions, or wine and beer, and the gins are single serve low ball glasses so you're not going to get too drunk in the two hours of service. Speaking of which, service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is hard to beat right there in their distillery under the enormous chandeliers! February 2023: Well designed aesthetic in a historic venue, with an unbelievable selection of whiskies from Australia, Scotland and worldwide in addition to their own gins - which can each be sampled in a tasting. The food was great and plentiful, all with great service from a friendly and helpful team.

Great venue, friendly staff, delicious food and drinks We had a selection of small share plates all of which were fabulous. Gin tasting flight to get the night started. Several cocktails sampled. My favourite was the Australian Dey Gin Tonica, my husband highly recommends the Bonfire Night We would highly recommend you give this place a try!

The service at Hickson House is excellent. The people working there are friendly and welcoming. Watching the cocktails being made is a joy and drinking them is even better. The food always tastes great. The chandeliers, the bar and the entire venue is beautiful. The steak and the lamb cutlets are a favourite. Raspberry Beret is delicious. London Gin and tonic also goes down well. Great location with the Harbour just a hop, skip and a jump away.

The distillery tour conducted was detailed and concise, we loved the tour and wine session very much. It has opened our eyes to the distilling process and how the unique bottles are specially crafted. Amazing ambience and highly recommended!
