Update on 17/12/21 - although they have moved further from us , new store is as good as the old. Food is nice, service is still speedy. Their beef noodle soup, fried shallot pancake, and fried dumplings are very authentic! Price is resonable. Old post This little shop packs a lot of goodies. The food are nice and authentic. Staff can get a little busy but friendly. She tried to recommend us food to try seeing that we are first timer. Impressed with the food. Very thoughtful to sell Taiwan exclusive snacks and perishable by the counter for upsell opportunities. Will come back for sure. The food portion can be a little large for the value. And Parking can get a little tricky, recommend parking at the back of KFC or at Stocklands shopping centre.

Little gem that is lacking of a few things. Braised beef in rice noodle soup was delicious. Wish it was a little less salty though. The rich soup was so tasty that I nearly emptied the bowl. Rice noodle was soft and cooked perfectly. Great winter dish. Braised pork with rice noodle soup was disappointing. Hardly saw any pork. Tasty soup stock. Ordered Braised Pork belly set for takeaway. There were a few pieces of pork knuckle. Most were bones and bones. I would be happier if I could eat the bones. Small amount of pork belly was given. Try Siew Long Bao (dumpling with soup inside), Pan fried dumpling and dumpling soup. Honey Japanese Castella cake and egg rolls available near cashier. A kitchen staff was lack of manner. He sat behind a cluster of unused tables and chairs and made a long disgusting noise from down there. Should be aware customers were in the dining area. Paying by cash? Minimum purchase is $20.

I loved the authenticity of this little place. They have really great dumpling menu. Lots of versions of steamed dumplings, which are my favourite. The noodles were a bit lacking. The vegetables were a bit old and dry looking. The noodles themselves were fine and the flavour of the protein was ok, but the portions are small and it's a bit like they just threw the bowls together with whatever was laying around. Also, I received the wrong order, but it was still delicious so I didn't bother telling them. The little snack shop attached to the restaurant is cute and the keep your tea pot filled with hot water so you get value there.

Great food, great service! If you want a quiet night in and some yummy dumplings and buns, come here instead. It's not fancy but the food's great! If you want fancy, come here anyway. Did I mention the food's great?

Authentic Taiwanese gourmet food. Also stocks variety of imported genuine Taiwanese snacks and food ingredients. Easy underground parking. Service was good. Would re-visit.

Nice little dumpling place with seemingly authentic Taiwanese cuisine. I like bbq pork dumplings and pork pancakes. The hot food here is perfect for a cold wintery day. Unfortunately, unlike the food, the service here can be quite cold :(. No smile, no patience, no advice. If you are unsure of what to order, they will not hang around to help you understand what the dishes are, the portion-size etc. When food is ready, it will be slapped down your table. At times orders are mixed or forgotten! Yet, we keep going back there... may just for the quality of food!

One of the best Taiwanese eatery in Sydney. It moved from Baulkham Hills late 2021 and I know a lot of old patrons followed it to this new location. Food quality is consistently great and very friendly owner working hard to make everyone feel welcomed. I feel bad for the owner because they seem over worked and under staffed due to covid. There is also a small selection of Taiwanese snack, cooking ingredients, and frozen food from the menu for sale. The location has parking which is very convenient for me. If I lived closer I’d eat there everyday. I buy lots of frozen food takeaway every time I visit.

We had a quick lunch at this popular Taiwanese joint and ordered two rice sets (<i>lu rou fan</i> and lardy rice) plus oysters' omelette as side dish. We also got the fried taro cakes for dessert. All rice sets are good, authentic Taiwanese comfort food and we love them. The oysters' omelette seems to be their signature dish since many customers beside us also ordered it. It is quite nice, but the sauce is a bit too sweet for us. The taro cakes are nice little snacks and they're not too sweet. Prices on the menu are quite good value for money and comparable with other popular Taiwanese joints across Sydney. Customer services from staff member(s) are good and efficient. The place is not big, but has reasonable ambience for customers to enjoy their meal. You can pay with credit cards with additional <b>2% surcharge</b>, which is high and unfortunate. Normally you only pay around 1 to 1.5% for this kind of surcharge.

Set back off the street in a tired and soulless mall, the shop itself provides colour, flavour and atmosphere lacking from its neighbours. Popular with the locals and Taiwanese community. We love the wonton noodle soup and steamed dumplings. But everything we have had here is delicious. Service is attentive and helpful.

This place has no atmosphere. We felt we were eating in a Chinese grocery store or maybe a storage unit, with chairs and boxes stacked around us. The food was less than average and so salty we could hardly eat it. I recommend giving this a miss. Thank god the was a KFC around the corner.

Finally got to eat it, so after I have compared to some other Taiwanese food I ever had in Sydney, this bento is best value so far, since they have pork stew on top the rice(signature tw food) although I wish they could provide more choice of side dishes (vegetables).

This was the first time I had been to Dumplings Taipei but my wife has been numerous times when the location was in Baulkahm Hills. We ordered the Pork Buns, beef and cabbage dumplings and some other dumplings to eat. The quality and freshness was amazing. I've eaten Pork Buns during Yum Cha dining at different Chinese restaurants over the years and this is a common offering. However at Dumplings Taipei, they were fluffy and soft and so tasty. I'll definitely be going back here again! Thank you

Tried this place that is usually packed with diners. Service was good; the food disappointing. Dumplings are certainly not their speciality. My daughter almost vomitted from the taste of the meat in the dumplings. We felt that we wasted our money. Can't understand the high ratings.

The food was really good, but the price is completely different when u order from Uber eat. I ordered a 60$ worth food from Uber eat, but it’s actually charged me 79$ excluding the delivery fee and service fee. A bit disappointed as never happened in other places.😭😭😭

Good little place, very homely and also has a good range of supermarket-type items you can buy (drinks, tea, snacks, desserts, frozen dumplings). Very recommended.

Hidden gem in Castle Hill. Great food despite the place being a little underwhelming. Try them out! You won't be disappointed 😌

Went in here to get some takeaway. Was extremely pleased with the friendly service which is hard to come across these days. The food was at a great price, and tasted amazing. Compliments to the chef. I love love this place and will be back again. you guys nailed it. :)

Home-made style is all the rage and this place does it well. It's a charming eatery, not a restaurant. Update: following their renovation, not only the place is a nicer space, the food has even become more impressive.

It's a nice quaint place. The dumplings were only okay, but the other dishes looked pretty good. Will have to come back to try the rest before finalising my verdict.

busy little place the night we went and while 1 of our meals was initially forgotten about, once the staff were advised it came out pretty quickly. Very tasty food

A great little restaurant... Apparently they moved but I hadn't been to their other location. It's now located in a quiet, non-descript rather quiet/empty looking building, not far from Castle Mall and the metro station... However they always seem to be packed on weekends. We went on a weekday and it was much less busy with more attentive service. The food is very good and authentically Taiwanese. The dumplings are absolutely delicious. There is a cute little Taiwanese grocery store inside featuring all sorts of goodies inside: snacks, sweets, drinks as well as frozen food. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
