Be there very early or very late or it's like mother Ganges in heat wave. Majority of lanes are reserved for lessons and recreational swimmers must share 4-5 people per lane. Steam and sauna are great. Fix the congestion/overlay of swim classes!

Poor management. Visited the centre yesterday. It took 10 minutes at the front desk. Both reception staff was busy with new membership enquires. I know the priority is to get new members however failed to attend the needs of existing members And this is not the first time. Had numerous occasions that I had to wait. Not Happy Also find attached the mens shower room. It was wet all over and rubbish all over. No signs to warn patrons. A breach on safety Moreover the shower basket broken in two of showers. This is now over a year and has not being fixed. Had complained previously and no action. Don’t blame the staff. It’s management that is responsible. Need a restructure top down.

Well organised place, with amazing aqua and gym. Gr8 place for adults and kids. They even have a wave pool, amazing fun for kids and adults too.

Used to love swimming here as a kid, coming back as an adult is another story My partner (not a confident swimmer) and myself were harassed and objectified by a senior member of staff. We were told to keep our actions “child friendly”. The actions deemed not child friendly was me keeping my partner afloat by holding their back. So what am I supposed to do? Let my partner drown? Completely uncalled for and we decided to leave. Upon leaving, we were approached by the same member of staff who told us that our actions were unacceptable but we didn’t have to leave. Very poor choice of staff and I will not be returning.

It is a good place for swim. Has a wave pool and saunas. Also has facilities for indoor sport, like basketball, etc. Gym is great. Tennis courts are available for hire. Plenty of parking spots and drop off area. That was all good about facilities. Staff is not friendly. In fact, the supervision is bad because they are policing compliance with policies but not safety of patrons. Policies are not patron friendly. That makes experience unpleasant. Services provided are low also. I recommend using another pools.

Great place for family and to be healthy. Gym is excellent, spacious. Adding a photo of timing for others like me who cant easily find the timings.

Pool is dirty. Kids told me that there was tampons floating around. Staff were rude and unreasonable. There was only one lady at the canteen who was willing to help. Like the previous review they are more concern about rules rather than safety. The staff requires customer service training as they lack it including the young ones who are more concern about their look than providing a service. Overall never coming back.

My kids really loved this place. They have a warm pools. Perfect for family kids wants to have swimming even winter time u can swim in this pool. Easy access and lots of life guards around.

The water was actually warm on this cold Winter morning. In addition they have a sauna, spa and a genuinely good steam room (at an extra cost). The wave pool is great too but only runs for about 3 minutes every hour. The lifeguards are excellent too and quite vigilant. The only downside (which may not be a negative for you) is that the main swimming pool is not Olympic size.

We've been years coming to this centre as a family. And used almost all facilities. Gym classes instructors are very professionals, swimming classes are good as well. Most stuff are friendly and helpful specially in the last year..... The only thing that ruins it, few managers/ stuff ( elder ladies) ,who are very rude and dry, they can't wait to find a mistake to make a big deal out of it, unforgiving. No humanity with their attitude. You feel yourself at a police station. Instead of taking care of their members, they let them feel unwelcomed. Can't wait to finish my membership to leave this centre. This place needs to be run by younger managers ,and leaders with both females and males as well, who are full of life and energy, aiming to love their job, love their members, and assist them in a professional respectful way. Rules are made for members to feel home and secure, and not to let them feel criminals.

WORST POOL I HAVE BEEN TO. If you wanted to do lap swimming this pool is not for you. Kids blocking off fast/medium lanes to stand and play in, while lifeguards watch and do not tell them to go to the other spaces available. Very unsafe as I collided multiple times with different children who were crossing my lane and playing because they thought it was okay.

The swim centre was surprisingly good. There is a ramp to get in the pool and the water is warm. They have a kids play pool, a wave pool and fountain, a pool for learn to swim classes, a pool to do walking and gentle exercise as well as lanes to do laps. The change facilities are clean and there are disabled and baby change rooms as well. There is also a cafe to grab a snack or lunch. There is also a spa and suana for extra fee. In the centre is also a gym, a library and conference rooms. There is plenty of parking too and bus access. I was very impressed with the facilities.

As a support worker I was disappointed by the way the reception girls reaction. I brought a customer there 1st time. He forgot his companion card but still has Ndis number I explained to the girl the situation and she still made me pay. As if I am lying. Omg sometimes U guys need some compassion. On that day my client was very uncomfortable. That's why I let it go. U Guys you don't need to be friendly but nice to people.

I've sign up there previously with my fitness passport and when I tried accessing the gym my pass wouldn't work so the lady told me to go to reception to resign with my fitness passport. When I went to the receptionist the guy said I needed my physical card which I did not have. I had went onto the fitness passport website with my details showing him that it's active and also got my wife to send me a photo of my fitness passport which he said nah not good enough and was completely rude. All I wanted was to train with my mate who was already inside and they still made me pay $22.50 for an entry fee for the gym. They weren't even reasonable as I was willing to come the next day to bring my physical card. I know for a fact with other big gyms like Riley's, plus fitness and world gym, if you forgot your pass and your a fitness passport member, all you need is to show them your fitness passport number and they'll let you in. Please train your staff with better customer service.

I have 3 of my children attending swimming lessons at Stanhope Leisure Centre and, I couldn't be any happier. Especially with the staff at the swim school front desk. Exceptional service from Christine and Natasha every time, pleasant, friendly and helpful going above and beyond. Keep up the good work, ladies.

Exceptional venue. Modern and large complex catering to swimming, tennis, martial arts and more. There appear to be cafes operating within the space and management providing support and cooperation.

Has all amenities a family needs like Gym, tennis courts, group fitness classes, swimming pool, sauna, spa, Library. The aquatic center has wave pool and small pools as well so that all age group can enjoy. Happy that we have all facilities at our door step. Ample parking space and just opposite to Stanhope village. It has a small Cafe as well with kids food and coffee options

Took my child there with low expectations based on reading other reviews, but found staff friendly and helpful. Bit disappointed that the kids play pool was out of commission for unknown period of time, as I chose this centre due to that feature, but we just spent time walking and splashing in the walking lane of the programme pool. This wasn't ideal, as it was only one lane for walking, and despite being a Friday morning, it was very busy. Change rooms need some upgrades, but weren't too bad. Loved the cafe, food was decent and so cheap! Definitely will return again - hopefully when the kids play pool is back up and running.

Went here with my Mrs today. Honestly did not enjoy myself. As many people have stated the staff are rude and arrogant. I understand that they have a job to do but get off your high horse. The pools and bathrooms themselves feel very unclean. By the time we got out of the pool and getting changed I was already coughing my guts up and went home with the flu this very evening. I'll take my business back to Olympic Park.

Great Leisure centre with everything, Though it's impossible to get new enrolments for swimming classes. Hundreds of people queueing since early morning. People who are not able to attend physically, they should be able to book online and via phone. However, there is no way you can book online and get someone on the phone, Tried on the phone , no luck after an hour of hold. At last, no option to book until next term. In COVID situation, online booking should be considered.

Perfect location, easy accessibility to essential services for wellbeing and health. Definitely worth being a member, train hard, recover after, sauna, spa. Great gym, has the essential equipments needed.

Went to the swimming pool, the website says closing at 9:00pm, after buying passes for all, the counter lady says they are closing in less than an hour. Didn't get any answer or a refund for not disclosing the hours prior to buying a ticket. The kids were really disappointed. More pool options for kids, compared to the one at Blacktown (Devitt St) one. Overall experience, average.

I've been training at the gym for a number of years and things never change. It was located conveniently for me, but have since found better gyms in the area. Broken equipment takes forever to be fixed, weight equipment is old and been updated once in over ten years. The only reason I didn't give it one star is the classes are good.

Attended a ticketed Indian function here & really impressed with easy access & just how much parking is available! Clean, neat well maintained place with decent space for food stalls and that 😂💜

The pool is AMAZING! The waters are sparkling and shimmering with beauty! The pool is very large and has many different sections. There is a small chips and nuggets store. The food there is acceptable!

Fantastic experience, the kids love it. And very professional team inside the pool area. 👍

Absolutely disgusted at the treatment my disable cousin received at this centre by Ruth Evo. My cousin was refused to be allowed to swim. She has swum all her life despite being deaf and blind. She has a carer with her at all times. How horrible that Ruth Evo takes away such little pleasures from Carleeta when she swims daily and it is her source of joy. Shame on you Ruth. I hope karma repays the favour to you.

The place is huge and you can never run out of anything to do, the classes to learn swimming were amazing when I completed them, and all the amazing people that help contribute to run this place, wish I could come back though. Maybe I might. Overall this place is the way to go when you are in need of a good swim.
