Dear Manager of Fire And Food (Australia Square) your demeanour does not indicate you're happy to be back in business after the second lockdown. Today, I saw you in the kitchen (because your food prep area is wide open to the public) helping your chef in preparing my hamburger. I saw you handling my cheese and pickles with your bare hands. I was so hungry and extremely intimidated by you that I just pretended I didn't see what you did to my food. And hoped I don't get sick. You handle the cash register, you touch your mobile phone and God knows where else your hands may have been. The way you deal with your customers indicate you don't care about your business, let alone your customers. What you did to my burger today is unlikely to poison me (I hope not anyway). I'm just more worried about you. Are you really happy with your job? Maybe it's time to move on?

I just bought a Druitt burger from Fire and Food in Martin Place (under channel 7). It was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The 6 hour smoked brisket had a great smokey flavour and had minimal fat. The bread was soft but still had strength to hold the contents of the burger. The sauce complimented the brisket perfectly and was spicy but not too spicy. I highly recommend this burger to all the burger lovers out there!

The chicken Portuguese style grilled chicken looks very good (we actually saw someone else eating it, previously which prompted us to check this place out). However the taste is not so great. The chili sauce is very nice with a strong herb and lemon flavour. But the chicken is too dry, even the thigh part is dry and tough, the breast part is virtually inedible (I couldn’t even finish mine). Trying to slather it in sauce does somewhat help, but I would prefer not to have to resort to such measures. The server was quite abrupt, bordering on rude. It’s also quite hard to find a place to sit in the food court area.

Used to visit this business once a week years ago, since it’s changed hands it’s all down hill from here. Chicken was moist but the wrap was boring, very boring. It used to take 3 minutes to get a chicken with gravy on a roll, now it takes 10 minutes & the price has jumped up 30%. Watch out for hidden charges on the EFTPOS terminal as the prices on the board don’t match the prices you’ll be charged by card either.

Easily the worst “fried” chicken burger I’ve ever had. The chips that came with it were horrifically undercooked. The “free” drink that comes with a combo made the combo cost $2.00 more than advertised. Do yourself a favour; don’t bother…ever.

not so great service. 1. last week the server gave my order to someone else who stormed off with my food and then after realising my order was missing gave me their order but was cold as it had been sitting for 15mins already.. 2. happened again today but this time my order went missing and waited til everyone was given their order to realise they had missed mine so they quickly made it but already wasted 15mins of my 30min lunch break so i wasnt too happy at all.. please do better with taking orders and handing them out, maybe put the customers initials or name on each order (like what other fast food restaurants do) or even a number/ticket system so food doesnt get taken accidentally or in error or missed :(

Paid $14 for a snitz roll. Once very small piece, literally a leaf of salad. When I went back to ask if this was reasonable I was met with shoulder shrugs. WAY overpriced. Glad there a other places to eat.

Used to love this place back when I worked in a different building nearby but today I was shocked when I’d paid for my food but they either handed my meal out to someone else or the kitchen never prepared it. They were oblivious to me standing there for 20 minutes while other people received their meals. When I told them I’d not received my order, the lady failed to even update me on what was happening with my order. I was then asked by someone else if I was waiting for something and informed they had no buns left for my burger and had to substitute it for a wrap. No apology of course. Really poor service but at least the chicken was fresh.

The burger was terrible - the patty tasted a Coles Value beef patty. Seriously, one of the worst burgers I have ever had. I'm sure the chicken is ok though

This is what $18.00 gets you, barely cooked chips and the end a lamb that was over cooked and cold, I did get a free drink though! ! ! Better places to try.

Well done presentation burger better than mcd burger so u can eat and enjoy the burger without worry the filling fall over and make a mess

Their half chickens are actually a quarter. The half they gave me had no breast meat at all and was tough as a boot...was a joke and rip off. Don't buy. The chips were okay but small servings.

I've had two lunches at Fire and Food, and both meals were delicious and very filling. The Greek style chicken meal (being a chicken leg or breastfeeding with chips, Greek salad and gravy) tasted great. I liked the fresh and flavoursome Greek salad, which made the meal lighter and healthier. The traditional Greek wrap was also tasty, as well as the generous serve of accompanying chips.

I had the Roast Pork box with Veg and it was lovely. Tender meat, rich gravy and a lovely portion of veg but alas I got no crackling. Minor quibble I suppose.

Soggy chicken roll on a hot dog bun for $12 The signage for pricing of the rolls is also deceptive. Haven't been here since the pandemic started but it used to be better

Took my boys here for lunch and got 2 burger meals. The lady wasn't very friendly, the burgers were cold and the chips, though we seen them pour them into the window to serve them, they were hardly edible, dry and hard and the ones that weren't black or the scabby little crunchy chip left very little to eat. With all the other places around to eat in that little food court, I wouldn't choose here. At $16/18 again. Ultimately your choice!

Got a hunter burger combo for lunch. Got a sweet bun not the regular burger bun!!, meat seemed stale and chips were unevenly cooked. $18 is a rip off fo a combo.

Wow. Roast beef roll with rocket and onions. Very tasty. Happy Staff.

Had a great slow cooked Memphis chicken here. They offered a great selection of sides, all with plenty of flavour. The lunch was reasonably priced at $17 for a half chicken, salad, roast vegetable and a drink. I’d love to come back and try some of the burgers and other offerings next time I’m in the area.
