Self pay surgery has taken the worry our of the health system. I had spine surgery 4 days after meeting with the surgeon. Fast, quick and very efficient. Highly recommend.

My level of health insurance didn't cover the procedure I was having. The all inclusive payment was simple and straightforward. I knew exactly how much the cost would be. Unlike a family member who recently had surgery at the same hospital who was left with enormous out of pocket expenses despite 40+ years of expensive Medibank premiums. I plan to use Self Pay Surgery again next year to complete my journey.

After waiting forever to have a minor procedure done through the public system l was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to have it done through self pay. Excellent service. Lovely staff.

As soon as I made an inquiry, I was contacted and taken through the steps. An appointment was made for the following week with the specialist. Specialist had a book of info + product samples. Constant contact from self pay to check on how things were going ie drs appointment, forms and what to do ( I used my superannuation). I had surgery appointment booked at initial visit for 4 weeks time. Nutritionist contacted me and went through special dietary needs before op. Followed up with emails and further info. A great process. Process was absolutely painless.

Honestly if Self pay surgery wasn't an option, I would still be on the public waiting list. The communication was fantastic and they even helped me find a surgeon that was happy to have me as a patient as I am from a state that doesn't offer self pay surgery. I think this should be rolled out over all of Australia, especially with the current state of our public health system.

The only disappointment in the Hospital was the Reception the are so uninterested in new patients the most clearly see the pain the patient is in, and offer no helping hand !! If a patient has a bad knee ore bad hip and is coming for a replacement it should be coming practice to offer the new patient assistance with a wheelchair and there Bags. I only hope that this problem will be solved in Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. Thank you KarlDollak

Had an amazing experience with self pay .. from enquiry to admission and discharge from the hospital .. was my first surgery where I was asleep for and I was very nervous. Everyone involved was amazing, polite, helpful and patient . Will highly recommend self pay to everyone

Using the self pay program was an amazing experience. The team were wonderful and kept me fully informed throughout the Covid Challenges. Everyone I spoke with and emailed was pleasant and accommodating, I would 100% recommend this program to anyone and everyone!

I could not express my gratitude and appreciation enough for the self pay team and mulgrave private hospital, this process was well designed with the support from lapsurgery Dandenong, each step was amazingly easy and well supported.. I'm 3mths post of and have lost 35kgs from a starting weight of 150kgs. My lease on life is back and feel fantastic thank you self pay and supporting teams pre and post op.. my only complaint would be who self pay work with for supporting finance provider Humm. this process was stressful and they are frankly usless with no level of support, care or attention to detail and a standard call centre mentality of sorry I cannot help you. I certainly don't regret it and would by far recommend self pay as a viable option for elective surgery.... just not utilising the finance options...

Our 2 year old received the surgery she required so quickly and by a wonderful team of medical staff. We felt confident throughout the entire process. So grateful to have the option to pay off the surgery. Our girl is so much happier and healthier. Thank you!

Fantastic hospital, wonderful staff. Very supportive, knowledgeable and generous. Clean, organised with staff going above and beyond for patients needs. No surgery is pleasant but it was a good experience in Tuggerah Lakes. Wish they had maternity!

Needed hip replacement and found self Pay Surgery,generally healthy so I wasn’t in a health fund.Decided to go with self Pay no regrets at all.Paid in April surgery done in May.Waiting list for public health was over a year.Highly recommend.
