In the last 3 years I trialled three different skin doctors at SunDoctors Clinic (as my gut told me I had a skin cancer on my forehead). Each doctor at this clinic said it was ‘fine’ or a ‘pimple just not healing’. However, trusting my gut I decided to book elsewhere (at a completely new clinic). The doctor at the new clinic immediately validated my concerns (as he was very concerned as well) and took a biopsy. The biopsy confirmed it was in fact a skin cancer. The new doctor was amazed that it hadn’t been picked up previously, despite me drawing special attention to it. I have written this review as I would hate for this to happen to someone else.

Saw Dr.Chen what an obnoxious rude dr. She has no bed side manner was abrupt and officious and very quick with a skin check. She did not address any of my concerns. She was more concerned about charging me a fee and telling me how much I had to pay. Whilst I was in the waiting room I witnessed her be rude and bully staff and be rude and confronting to another patient also more concerned with charging her a large fee. I will not be returning to this clinic while they have a greedy rude dr working there ...dont know how she gets patients with her unprofessional attitude. The reception staff were polite and accommodating shame they have to work for her !!

I saw Lishuang Chen who I found rude and was able to do a full body check and biopsy in under 20 mins for $180. I was given no information regarding exercise or resting the leg as she left for her next patient. It is the first time I have had a biopsy without a stitch and given the location I was surprised. The dressing was not waterproof and later that night I got up and noticed that there was pools of blood on the carpet from when I got up earlier in the night, as probably didn't feel anything due to the anesthetic. I had to put a waterproof dressing on to try and hold the blood back and 24 hours it is still bleeding out. I attend another Sun Doctors in Minyama and they are brilliant so hence why I went to this practice. I will never come back to this location. To their credit the reception staff were very friendly and helpful

I was charged above the quoted consultation, I did have six small “sun spots” burnt off but was not told there was an additional charge at the time, I have never been charged extra for this with annual skin checks elsewhere - at the appointment I was told that if I wanted any cosmetic/age spots removed it would be $80 for 10 spots!! So I had none removed. Though the examination was comprehensive and the Dr friendly, felt it was more $ oriented, especially as they charge 1.25% surcharge for Visa or MasterCard (credit card) So I won’t return.

A relative recently had a skin check at the Ryde SunDoctors. The skin check seemed very cursory and questions about available treatments for pigmentation were summarily dismissed as useless when I know from my own experience that such treatments are very effective. It was recommended that a small spot be "watched" rather than being removed on the spot via freezing, as would be appropriate and which is used by many doctors. Could not recommend this office but this is only based on one experience with one doctor there.

I have been seeing Dr Li Chen for nearly 10 years. Dr Chen is very thorough in skin checks and diagnosed all my skin cancers including a very early melanoma. I also appreciated her operation skills and that my wounds all healed well with very neat scars. I recommended Dr Chen to a lot of my friends and relatives . they are all very happy with her service. Thank you !

my appt was 15 mins , noting my time, tried to tell me it was 20mins. Demanded I pay $150.00 which is different to price list stated at reception. Routine check up. Go elsewhere and save your money I Do not recommend!! ***New Update below , They never called me from Sun doctors to resolve it with me. They just want to show false statements, to look like they are doing something for the customer! Do not believe anything.

I am very happy with the service I received whilst having a small procedure. My doctor was truly lovely and an absolutely wonderful professional with a bedside manner that I could not fault. My partner had skin cancer spots dealt with and agrees with my recommendation of this skin clinic.

I had my first skin check with Dr Marija Johns. She was friendly and informative. The service of the clinic in general was fast and efficient.

I attended the Sun doctors this week, and found the doctor to be excellent. She was very experienced and explained the whole process to me. Excellent consultation.

I have a family history of bad skin cancer and I wouldn’t go anywhere else to have my regular annual skin check. Judy is amazing and always performs a thorough check. Easy to park on site. Easy experience and Reception is always pleasant and helpful. Nothing is ever an issue.

Highly recommend SunDoctors for your skin checks. Easy to book online. You dont wait months for an appointment and appointments are pretty much on time. Dr was very thorough in examining from head to toe and it doesn’t cost $300 for someone to tell you “all good”

The doctor Judy was fantastic however, the loss of stars is because the receptionist was very rude, uninformative & dismissive. Instead of asking me to fill out a new patient form, she ordered me to complete it as if she was superior to me. She then didn’t bother to acknowledge me after I gave the form back. Upon paying, she plonked the ATM machine in front of my face (no mention of price or rebate ect ..). I asked if I was entitled to the rebate & she said, you pay first. Absolute despicable behaviour. Getting your skin cancer check is important but, just a pre-warning, the young lady with dark brown curly hair is dreadful.

Always professional & caring. Dr Tsai is so thorough and goes above and beyond caring for her patients. Cannot recommend her highly enough

Dr Judy Tsai made me feel comfortable and explained things very well so I knew what was happening. The reception staff were also very helpful and made it a very quick and easy process.

Booking has never been difficult Admin staff are friendly and efficient My doctor is knowledgeable and helpful. For something as potentially awkward as having every square centimeter of your skin examined I have never been made to feel uncomfortable.

Dr Shannon Barry is absolutely lovely. She was 45 mins late due to an necessary procedure on the patient before me, completely understand and appreciated her apologies and explanation. I do however think the admin staff could take that role of keeping patients informed. Dr Hani Botros (dermatologist) is a caring, polite & professional man who performed the skin check fast and professionally. I left feeling safe & secure. Reception are courteous and professional and always smile. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of a sign they have in the office which states Medicare rebate is $39 for all standard 15 checks - this is misleading. Rebates change from Dr to Dr and in the case of Dr Botros was $21. They should change that sign

Appointment was on time. Dr Barry did a comprehensive check of my skin. She was very professional and friendly, really easy to get on with, I really liked her, thoroughly recommend her services. I’m very happy with the service I received.
