To
me,
this
has
been
my
best
meal
in
Japan
thus
far.
Each
course
was
fantastic
and
well
explained
by
the
incredible
Chef
in
English
and
luckily
Chinese
as
well.
Akita
beef
is
the
best
beef
I
have
ever
eaten
to
date.
Not
too
fatty
so
you
do
not
become
sick
of
it
unlike
the
other
superstars
like
Kobe
and
stuff.
Delicious
flavour
and
the
beef
was
so
tender,
we
were
able
to
cut
it
with
the
butter
knives
provided
to
us
for
the
steak.
The
steak
was
cooked
Low
and
slow
on
a
the
cooler
section
of
the
grill
from
the
start
of
the
meal
so
as
to
render
out
some
of
the
fat
and
get
the
juices
flowing
without
pushing
out
too
much
of
its
flavour.
Once
the
centre
is
cooked,
it
is
then
seared
in
butter
to
create
a
beautiful
crust
on
the
outside
while
still
preserving
its
beautiful
medium
rare
centre.
Eating
it
with
salt
brought
out
its
beefiness,
wasabi
and
soy
helped
cut
through
the
fat
and
accentuate
it’s
flavour,
and
the
grated
daikon
helped
to
refresh
ones
taste
buds
so
you
can
keep
going!
The
next
interesting
dish
we
had
after
the
beef
was
the
akitomachi
rice
and
the
Akita
prefecture
inaniwa
udon,
the
udon
of
kings.
The
rice
was
deliciously
sweet
with
wonderfully
textured
grains
and
it
was
eaten
in
stages.
First,
plain
rice
and
the
shaved
truffles,
followed
by
rice
truffle
and
egg
with
some
sukiyaki
sauce
added.
After
which,
delicious
Uni
was
added
making
it
even
more
decadent!
For
the
soba,
it
was
nice
with
a
great
texture
and
chew
and
it
made
for
a
slurping
good
finish
to
the
meal.
Best
meal
ever
with
great
conversations
with
Maestro
Gong
Ming!
