If there’s one place to get a sandwich in Tacoma this is the spot. A bar worth checking out and now a Hilltop staple. The Peterson brothers are fantastic business owners and their entire staff (kitchen/bar) are wonderful too. Check out their brother and sister restaurants as well The Valley and Peaks & Pints.

Girl loves this place now ! The sandwiches are cheap and amazing! The bread 🥖 is just as good ! Not soggy! Right in the heart of Hilltop/Tacoma area! Definitely will come back! The bartenders are cool 😎 seating a bit limited but hey they have take out lol come here to eat

Nice little spot for some drinks and sandwiches. Good atmosphere and the bartender who served us was very nice. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with Caesar salad. The salad was fresh and nicely coated with the Caesar dressing, and the Philly was very good; the bread is an Asiago cheese hoagie which really elevated the whole sandwich! The cheese sauce was creamy and the meat was delicious and not overly salty. I saved the other half for later at home and lightly toasted it, and it tasted just as fresh! My husband also enjoyed his meatloaf sandwich and was lucky to have the last one served that evening. Food is reasonably priced. We'll visit again!

Best "Dive" I've been to in ages. The food, the FOOD The food was phenomenal, so far past my expectations that my mind was blown. The place was funky and inviting. I will definitely be going back and bringing friends. I would have taken photos, but I ate it too fast! Go for the special Mac & Cheese if that's your thing. Creamy and cheesy without being too much. I just loved it. It checked all the boxes.

Talk about being mind blown! My cousins & I decided to go shopping in Tacoma when we were deciding on what to eat I found this place & was just so impressed with the quality of the sandwich. The whole table ordered the smokestack sandwich & the Mac n cheese was delicious. This is most def a hidden gem in Tacoma

For the 3rd time - I’ve ordered a vegan sandwich and they give me a meat sandwich. When you have two items on the menu and they’re so similar that the only difference is vegan/non vegan.. CHECK that you have the correct sandwich before giving it to your customers!! It’s not that hard. Staff seem impatient and unwelcoming. Sometimes. Some staff are great, but the others… relax. Jesus.

Great place! Cool old school vibe in the Hilltop. Had a great menu with Vegan and GF options. Being Celiac the staff was very helpful and Randy was especially great.

I normally don't like ordering sandwiches from a place. I love cooking my own food, but this place completely blew me away. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Pesto and I was blown away. The food was amazing, atmosphere was great, beers on tap were great, and the experience was amazing. I don't live in Tacoma but I'm already putting this place as my go to location next time I visit. If you're in the area and don't already know about this place, you need to come here.

This little bar has a great vibe. Low key, neighborhood folks. Nothing fancy but Great drink selection and a heavy pour. Food is excellent! Better than your average bar food choices. Mini pretzels, chicken bacon Cesar salad and they are well known for their sandwiches!

The sandwiches here are completely off the hook. The drinks were good, and the gruff looking bartender, he was really friendly! Fair warning though, the neighborhood was a bit rough when I went. The homeless encampment 50 yards away was disturbing. Despite that, I'll be back for more of the absolute perfection that they're serving up!

Good food, and the staff were a blast!! Great bar atmosphere so unfortunately no kiddos. Take out, or dine in available with tables/bar.

Overcharged $10 through debit payment. Everything was good until I checked my account. That takes all the good away, and now I choose other places to go and save every receipt until the swift payment clears. Crime also escalating in area without lawful system thanks to house bill 1310. Not spending as much money locally. Planning the relocation. To many systematic failures and excuses around here these days to be everyone's profit center.

great comfortable neighborhood bar feel. the meatballs with blue cheese is a must. They always have a great selection of cider. Staff is fun and kind. Ive brought friends from out of town late in the evening and they have all loved the welcoming familiar feel.

Such a nice place to go for a quick bite to eat. My go to is the Chicken Bacon Caesar Salad. But I have enjoyed everything on menu. The beers on tap and there drinks are excellent as well. Friendly staff and great atmosphere lend to bar as well.

This little bar is amazing! They even have a vegan menu and oh my gosh is the vegan Buffalo melt incredible. I seriously go there just to get that sandwich. Drinks are good, staff is friendly, food is great!

Sandwichs are delicious and filling (shareable). Nachos: well covered with toppings! Did not disappoint. Service: Excellent! Came with a group of 7!

I love this place not a huge menu but all the food is great. The service is phenomenal. The atmosphere is great so many different walks of life. I love the radio room.

Really good food. Had the pastrami sandwich, and I will be back to try other menu options. The service was awesome even though it was fairly busy.

By far my favorite bar in Tacoma! Their food is awesome - especially love the vegan options, but my friends have ordered meat alternatives and everyone has always been thrilled with their food. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is always cozy. We'll continue to support 1111 for as long as we can!

Didn't dine in ordered for delivery. Loveeee the vegan options and the vegan buffalo ranch sandwich was great. Bread was very soft and fluffy. Lots of flavor and the cheese was melted perfectly. Will order again. I recommend their sandwiches 😁

Probably my favorite bar in Tacoma, and also the only place I get excited to eat a sandwich. The deli pastrami (order it on thin rye) changed my life, lobster roll is perfection, and the meatloaf sandwich (Big Mac style) never lets you down. Josh, Randi, Chris and Ryan are the best bar staff around!

Best Reuben sandwich I've had in a long time, the nachos were equally delicious 😋 Beer selection was very good, with a variety of local Tacoma brewers and national brands. Service was great, food came out fast and got, and our server was very attentive. Will be back!
