Just finished lunch from here, and it doesn’t disappoint. Fast and friendly service, but might get crowded as far as parking goes. We enjoyed the onions rings, fries, cheeseburgers, and the fish and chips. To finish up, we had the strawberry shake, everything was great and worth the price.

I love mom and pop burger joints, and this was recommended to me by a friend. I loved the outside reminded me of a place from my town I frequented. Ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, corn dog, and small vanilla shake. I am hoping I don't get sick. Cheeseburger greasy, messy, and smells of just onion. Very small burger. Onion rings taste of grease but crispy Corn dog burnt on the bottom. No mustard or ketchup They needed extra time on this item and had to call my number 2x. 😒 it wasn't cooked very well inside. Vanilla shake tasted artificial. 😞 I spent 20.00 and i think I lost money.. 🤔 😕 they just left my items on the counter and walked away. I will not go back. 🤢

Cooks at Frisko Freeze get five (5) stars. You are the only reason the Frisko franchise might be salvageable. the burgers you make are awesome. as a Stadium High grad who's been dining at the original Tacoma Frisko since 1988, it's easy to see that current management mostly lost sight of what we made our local drive up burger joint all about. notice in my night-time review photos there's nobody hanging out, and barely anyone in line.... because so few people want to be there socially now. the old Frisko vibe is gone and magic dissipating fast. if you cannot remember, then i can return to this review and remind folks in writing how the old Frisko used to be.... why we used to hang out there every night, spend whatever money we had on the best drive-up burgers and why we called Frisko Freeze our hometown burger joint. perhaps i'll add some food images as well.

Amazing food and even better staff!!!!!! They were having some issues with the loud speakers and system but they made it work anyway! Thank you for the great food! Worth the wait and sorry for any impatient customers which might be the worst part of the experience… I had to wait like 30 minutes but didn’t mind at all. Just come prepared if needed. Thanks again!

What a great place. This place is like stepping back in time . The double cheeseburger was amazing. It was full of flavor. The employees there did outstanding job getting the food out. When I was there, the place was packed, but they got the orders out fast. They did a great job with customer service too.

First and last visit. Long waits for mid food. Edible but not enjoyable. Signs say to go back to your car once you order, which isn’t the vibe these places usually have. Would not recommend or return.

Classic burger joint! Love the food, stop here every time I’m in Tacoma. Shakes are amazing, burgers are no joke and good and greasy! Only tartar sauce I will eat.

Wow first time ever!!! The cheeseburger was delicious just the right amount of sauce the onion rings were crunchy and good you didn't even need ketchup for him but the best was the butterscotch milkshake. I ain't had one of those in years it was delicious little pricey at $15 a person for that meal but a good family or date night. Will return very very soon!

It's an old-school drive-in burger joint. I'd been driving by often enough I thought I'd stop. Real glad I did. The smell was right, and the tast was right. If you're looking for a cookie-cutter, mass-produced gut bomb, this is not your burger stop. However, if you miss those roadside burger joints with no inside dining, this is your burger stop.

I’ve come to this iconic, classic burger place for 20+ years. I usually love their juicy, flavorful burgers and shakes. This time, it was not. It was no where close to what I was used to. My double cheese burger was dry, the onion pieces in the burger was too small portion. Plus, the burger wasn’t even hot! Oh, the added bacon….was so little… Still, I want to give it a 3 instead of 1 because of my good previous experiences.

One of my favorite places because it holds a lot of memories with my husband. Every time we were in the Tacoma area (we're from Eastern Washington) we always had a burger at Frisco Freeze! Now I carry on the tradition myself, but the hamburgers are great!

Ordered double got single, thankfully I live close, the corrected order. Just not impressed with their burgers anymore & $14, for small burger, barely warm, small fry & small diet Coke I will stick with RED ROBIN

One of the most iconic hamburger drive ups you'd see in a old classic Hollywood movie, located right here in Tacoma. You want vintage eats, say no more fam. Ridiculously tasty, & priced well. Don't forget the onion rings and frosty milkshake. An easy 10 out of 10

Took my kids for an after school snack & treat! Such a classic little place...great vibe! They now have a drive through, which I don't remember that being there the last time I ate there but not sure! Prices were decent for this day and age and the food was really good. Didn't take too long to get our order either! We all enjoyed!

Loved Frisko Freeze! We got fish and chips, double cheeseburgers, and 2 malts after our meal. Everything hit the spot. The price is reasonable for 2 and it was hard not to get more. I got the double cheeseburger, though also really enjoyed trying my girlfriend's fish and chips! The fish and chips is great; crisp, stays hot, flakey, and juicy. May order some merch too, they have some cool clothes!

If you head here after a concert at the Tacoma Dome, call ahead for pickup because you're gonna be waiting 30mins otherwise! Cheeseburgers are tasty (get the bacon), fries were on point, the shakes were the thickest we've had in a long time. Definitely hits the spot after midnight!

Yummy burgers & fries, and the shakes are delicious. It was Friday night level of busy, but worth the wait. Got extra root beer in both our shakes & they didn't charge extra. ***Update: Just read an article that says there is a new owner***

This is the second time I’ve come here, last time i had burgers and chicken sandwich this time I went with fish and chips, amazing Tacoma establishment! Fresh food and even fresher service! Will be back. Onion rings slap.

Update 09/03/2021 A bit pricey in my opinion. My friend got a DBL burger fries and a shake and I got a ch burger fries and shake and it was almost $30!! I'll say it was great but I'll stick to jack in the box for the price. This was the first time I was at frisko freeze the hamburgers were sloppy but tasted awesome. I would definitely recommend going here prices were a little high but still excellent food I only had a cheeseburger so I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu I hear their milkshakes are to die for

Friendly staff. Wait time was long, though Everyone liked the burgers. I thought it was Ok...very greasy. I was hoping the onions rings and fries were homemade, but I saw the employee opening the box of onions rings. Oh well, at least they fry it to order. I wished I would have bought a shake because they definitely sounded delicious.

Ordered fish and chips. Fish was burnt and fries, so greasy you could squeeze the grease out. Milkshake was good. Ordered two extra tarter but only got one. Only ate half of it and threw rest away.

Frisky Freeze is a must-visit burger joint for anyone in the area! My recent visit left me blown away by their delicious fish sandwich and incredible chocolate malt. The restaurant has a quaint and charming atmosphere that transports you back in time, making for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. I ordered the fish sandwich and was impressed with the quality of the fish. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the bun was perfectly toasted. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the tartar sauce was the perfect addition. The sandwich was so good that I could hardly believe it came from a burger joint! To wash it down, I ordered a chocolate malt, and it was absolutely heavenly. The malt was creamy and rich, and the chocolate flavor was spot-on. It was the perfect complement to my fish sandwich and made for a satisfying and delicious meal. The staff at Frisky Freeze were friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and I felt safe and comfortable dining there. Overall, Frisky Freeze is an excellent burger joint that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal. Their fish sandwich and chocolate malt were standout dishes that left me wanting more, and I can't wait to come back and try some of their other menu items. If you're in the area, make sure to give Frisky Freeze a visit – you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing, and the super hero that Tacoma Needs. Best dive restaurant we've found here yet. Five of Five stars, the burger and onion rings were perfect. The chocolate malt was amazing. Thanks for being awesome.

So good. The milkshakes were thick and rich. My fish sandwich was so light and well seasoned! My husband's double cheese burger was perfect.

I used to come here as a kid so it brings back fond memories. Its got shakes and malts like you cant get elsewhere. Its the best place in Tacoma to get fish and chips. The onion rings were great too. My family all said the burgers are the best. Overall, well worth going out of our way to get the food here.

Decent food, burger was small, but full of flavor, loved the crunchy onion rings. definitely would recommend if you're in the area

Everything was delicious. We tried their shakes, double cheeseburgers, onion rings, and hot dog. I was especially impressed with the onion rings. The onions themselves are sweet and juicy and the onion rings overall taste extra onion-y compared to other onion rings I've had. Like, they have a distinct sweet onion flavor instead of just, like, a generic deep-fried flavor that could be anything.

Always a good local burger joint, been coming here since the '80s. Burgers do seem to be getting a little less on the toppings side of the onion lettuce mix, but overall still good old Frisco burgers. Shakes and malts are wonderful and the French fries are delectable! Even with a long line they move pretty quickly usually don't spend more than 15 minutes waiting on a busy day as a walk up. You can call in your orders ahead of time which I do recommend as well. Would be nice if the drive up window was reserved for call in carryout orders only though;-) nudge nudge!!

I enjoy this very nostalgic restaurant, but I didn't Iike that they don't truly have a drive through. I had to park and come back for my order and then it took forever and its hard to hear your order number if you are parked further away from the order window. The burger was super sloppily made and the sundae was put in a coffee ☕ cup. For the amount of money I paid it was not worth it.

What can I say about this legend of a place! Except for everything here is fire it's so good! If you have not been to Friski freeze yet I highly suggest you go! It's a historical site of Tacoma, and the food isn't that expensive but it tastes absolutely amazing. Gordon Ramsay needs to come check this place out! 10 outa 10 would eat again!
