    Tibbitt’s is AMAZING! A little hole in the wall with a personable owner and staff! The food is unique and unbelievable! We had an experience, not just brunch! Photos are of the Blueberry Lemon French Toast “BREAD PUDDING STYLE" and the Lobster Bomb!

    This place is fantastic, and that might be an understatement. The owner is an extremely nice human, and for having an itty bitty kitchen, he works miracles. This is by far the best restaurant I have stumbled into in a while. The prices are fantastic for the quality of the food. He nails the presentation. Portions are wonderful. Taste is right on point. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. You should really make a reservation and go try it. You won't regret it.

    This is a lovely place to get brunch where you literally feel like family and where the food is well priced. I had the lobster bomb and it was good especially the candied bacon - I will say the lobster is actually imitation crab and the sauce that they use (I presume hollandaise) is heavy and makes the dish very dense. I'd recommend getting a different, perhaps sweeter option than what I got but I couldn't give this place any lower than 5 stars because of the service. The folks here make you really feel cared for and part of their family.

    This place is breathtaking. The food is absolutely fantastic, hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. Crafted and thought of with love. Shawn is such an absolutely amazing gem of a person and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcomed and loved. There's so much to look at within the restaurant itself. You get in where you fit in and it's worth any length of wait you have and he makes the time pass in a way that you don't even feel like you're waiting long. Definitely number 1 spot to eat breakfast in Tacoma if not all of Washington. Even Jay feels the same! Much love to Shawn and his amazing staff 🖤

    Great story of how this restaurant started and Shawn, the owner, gives back to the community and is always in the kitchen cooking from a couple of hot plates only. Only the best quality ingredients used. Very unique in presentation and taste. I would just go for the story alone. Make reservations because it fills up fast and it guarantees you a table.

    First time visitor. Shawn is a miracle worker. He makes the amazing food served here on a camp grill and a tiny multi-rack oven. It's incredibly humble and honestly unfathomable to me. The service was also downright lovely from start to finish. Everyone was so kind, on point, and inviting the hour we were here. This is going to become a frequent breakfast stop. Support your local establishments that put community and quality ahead of everything else.

    Definitely one of the most tastiest meals I have ever had. All the good reviews are true. Quality, service, price, and portions were phenomenal. The owner and staff were super friendly and the food tasted even better than it looked. I highly recommend making reservations and giving this Tibbitts a try. You will not be disappointed.

    This restaurant is exactly what I thought it would be like. It's a very no-nonsense foodie friendly, intimate spot for eats. I would describe this food as "beautifully chaotic". The food is delicious, service is incredible, and the chef is extremely friendly. Be sure to call for reservations beforehand!

    For those Picklers who wish to treat themselves and quests to an exquisite breakfast in Tacoma, WA., Tibbitts@Fernhill is the place to visit! The culinary delight was well displayed, presented and down right delicious! Shawn our host and Chef, was friendly, accommodating and passionate about his talents as we are about our sport. He prides himself in ZERO waste and conducts his food art on two camping stoves! Amazing! It was well worth the experience. This was not a destination, but an EVENT!

    This reservation-only restaurant is amazing! Chef//owner/host Tibbitts is so sweet and service was great. Food was over the top delicious and amply portioned, taking advantage of vertical apace. Even though reservations are necessary, they are not pretentious in any way. My only regret is I won't be in the area often. My fellow foodies, you must come here.

    I just had our company event at Tibbitsfernhill. The service was superb, and the food was absolutely incredible! Shawn took care of every detail, and we wanted for nothing.     Small, cute and comfortable. The chef gave us a tour and personally delivered the food to our table. He lovingly and proudly showed the patrons evey delicious meal he brought out. Very recommended. Reservations only.

    I cant explain to you how amazing this whole experience was! First, decor was cute, quaint, eclectic, and I ❤ it. Secondly, the service: spot on! Friendly, attentive, and awesome enough to have offered my 2 tiny humans coloring books and crayons. Third, and most importantly: THE FOOD! I traveled to the area for the holidays and the only requirement was during the week long visit, I needed to eat here! I had been seeing it online for months and couldn't NOT eat it. Us 5 adults (plus 2 tiny humans) decided to order 5 meals and table share, since we couldn't decide. Pictured: the French toast. Also ordered the zucchini pancakes, lobster bomb, frittata, and the chef's shrimp and lobster crepe. Obviously, they are all much better named, but I can't explain the taste. All amazing. All way too much food. Im currently back home with family and overstuffed. I just couldn't stop eating. And when we left, we still had so much food left. Chef Shawn somehow has figured out how to make magic happen quickly from his very small kitchen. Next time I return to visit, there is absolutely no way I will miss eating here again. If I could give bonus stars for the experience overall, I would! Congrats on your success Tibbitts. You most definitely deserve it.

    YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! We didn't realize it was reservation only but the kind ladies went ahead and sat us. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were big, and the staff provided great customer service. Already told my wife we need to come back regularly.

    Amazing food! Sean and the whole crew are so great. Highly recommend going on a non -peak time to be able to chat. Reservations are required at peak times and I can see why! Everything is fresh and tasty and delicious and comforting. Seems like you could order anything here and walk away fat and happy.

    Phenomenal food. Every bite was mouth watering delicious. The chef’s take on each dish is so unique and I can’t wait to come back. The most clever idea to have mugs that actually keep your coffee warm. A fantastic place that you need to try.

    Wow. Just Woow. Me and my friend had the most genuine, warm, and inviting experience when we went for brunch on Sunday. We met Shawn and he is such an energetic and charismatic person. He spoke to us throughout our whole time we were there, he alway called us by our names each time, told us about his business, his life, and asked us about our lives and interests. This is a family business which has such a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious and unique. All their dishes were statement dishes and well cared for. Also- you must reserve by calling! It's worth it though!! Highly recommend this restaurant!! Can't wait to come back

    You will not find a better culinary breakfast experience anywhere. Combine that with one of the most outgoing, interesting, friendly, and generous chef/restaurant owners we’ve ever met and it’s literally an award-winning combination. Make it a point to meet Shawn Tibbits and experience this “experience” he creates. The only way you’ll be disappointed is if you try to go without a reservation.

    Very cute restaurant! The fresh ingredients used as well as the plating shows that the chef really cares about serving great quality food. The chef seems to come out whenever he has an opportunity to connect with customers. Hard to find chefs that are this dedicated and passionate! Also, they use hand-wash only insulated mugs for coffee. That is some attention to quality!

    This was an amazing experience! The owner let us come in half an hour before opening so we can have the place to ourselves for our anniversary breakfast. Everything from the service, vibe and taste was so good! I regret not taking more pictures but trust me when I tell you- go and check this place out! Thank you again for hosting us❤️

    Wow, the food here is phenomenal! You would be hard-pressed to find a better restaurant in Tacoma. Fresh, local food artistically prepared by a very talented chef. And the menu is always changing! The staff is very helpful and friendly. And the owner works very hard to run a zero-waste restaurant. Reservations are required, and it is worth planning ahead just to eat here.

    Omg this place is AMAZING! Food is AMAZING, ambience is A AMAZING and the owner & chef Shawn is AMAZING! I have nothing bad to say the experience was perfect! I had the Mother Earth and Father Sky (vegan), and I was so flavorful, and delicious! The fry bred was so smooth, crisp, but soft too if that makes sense, I literally cleaned my plate! My partner had the meat & gravy bomb!!! He said is was amazing and it looked and smelled amazing! I am a return customer, thank you Shawn for such an amazing restaurant and top tier service!

    Had a great experience at Tibbits! Even from just calling to reserve, Shawn Tibbits was really friendly. Once you get there he is very welcoming and tries to interact with everyone. Such a great atmosphere. Food was awesome! Big portions and quality ingredients. We now need to make the trip down south every season!

    This PLACE IS A 10 out 10. My first time this morning and it was more then I expected. First being native American myself I appreciated the owner and Chef Tibbitts Doing it for our people and his community his restaurnt is a beautiful place which made me proud. Now let's get on the food The lobster bomb was fresh light and the star of the show really shined freshest lobster and lots of it while the dish had many ingredients that all enhanced the dish. The lobster made a star showing front of the dish and was beautifully executed. The chef was kind warm and made you feel like his home home was yours. I was a first time customer and stumbled beyond a gem. I will be repeating everything was fresh and beautiful and everything was excellent ! It really stamped on my spirit this place.

    Awesome place, lots of interesting little things to look at. Food was fast and delicious. We had the landenburg bomb, the lobster bomb, and the round the outside. And we agreed that that was the order we ranked them. Huge portions, fun staff. We will be back!

    This is a truly special place. Chef Shawn Tibbitts is making magic, people! Just don't forget to make a reservation and definitely don't bring all your luggage with you or you might be invited to move in 😅 We ordered the lobster bomb and the Ladenburg bomb and they are both SO BOMB. This is a must-eat establishment and I am eternally grateful to have experienced such a wonderful meal. Thanks TibbittsFernHill!

    Whoa... How can such excellent food come from such a tiny kitchen? The smoked chicken and mushroom quiche awesome. The Lobster bomb is outstanding, big enough for 2 people. But you won't want to share. Service is very personalized. You will probably get a tour of the kitchen if you ask. Chef Shawn is true inspiration.

    Foods are so good. I did not even talk to anybody while I was eating. Top notch customer service. Everyone who works here was so kind. Owner Shawn makes you feel like you are his best friend/family. You just have to try it. Pictures don’t do justice
