Fantastic! I love that this is a family-run business with history. I ordered a medium size pho with shrimp and extra veggies. So filling! They even have a few homemade sauces on each table, which was fun to mix in and add spice. No wait and excellent service.

Absolutely amazing food and customer service. The staff is very kind and fast paced. They have the best shrimp spring rolls, chicken katsu & egg rolls ever ! I would definitely recommend coming here (:

Courteous host, servers, staff, all very friendly. Food was tasty, broth hot and tasty plenty of food with shrimp, beef and chicken combo over crispy noodles. Would recommend this to any first time visitor. The Mango smoothie was supremely smooth and delicious. Another must try! Pad Thai is different from Thai food version but still very good. The potstickers were yummy. The chili pepper relish was great! Add to your soup or entree for extra zing! Three of us ordered the number 40 and one ordered the pad thai. We each enjoyed our meals and had a terrific time at Vien Dong. Will return and eat here again.

Everything was so good. The egg rolls, garlic eggplant(ask for egg noodles!), and BBQ pork skewer were incredible. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve been by this place many times, just never had an opportunity to stop. The food was great. Typical pho joint, but this isn’t a chain. The service is good, and the prices are decent too. I got the Pho Tai(rare beef), the meat was flavored well, wish there was more of it. The amount of meat was lite. Overall a great experience, will go back again! Check it out!

Vien Dong is my go-to spot when in Tacoma. The food is outstanding and is very flavorful, and the menu is expansive and well-priced to boot! What I order varies on my mood or the weather, but since the broth used to make pho is delicious on its own, I usually ask for a side just because. The service is friendly and efficient which I appreciate. The only thing I wish they would improve is the atmosphere. I recommend a paint job in the dining area and a deep clean or remodel of the washrooms. Below is my Bun Ga - simply nourishing!

This place only deserves a star because the server was really nice. I was craving a hot bowl of pho and was in the Tacoma area at the time, so I looked up the nearest pho place. This restaurant was closest so I decided to go here. When I walked in, I was met with a very gross smell in the restaurant. It smelled like a used cat litter box to be honest which should have been my first sign to leave but I decided to just give it a shot. I ordered a large bowl of pho, gyoza and a coca cola. The pho was okay, I'd had better. The gyoza was pretty good. The server brought me a cup of ice water and a cup of ice for my soda. I poured my soda into the cup of ice and drank it. I do this thing where once I'm done with my soda and I'm left with ice, I pour my water into the cup of ice that once had my soda. I filled the cup of ice with the water and was going to drink the rest of the water that didn't fit in the other cup but I am so glad I didn't tip the cup all the way back to take a drink. I stopped midway into drinking because there were these white things floating at the bottom of my cup!!! I almost threw up because I was so close to drinking whatever that was!! I had to take a photo. I was so disgusted! This was the worst dining experience I've had. I went to the restroom just in case I had to throw up and I almost did. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

This has been one of my favorite places to eat for more than twenty-five years. The owners today were the children of the owners when I first ate at Vien Dong. My favorite is their number 19, but I have to admit that I like it so much that I rarely order something different. Everyone that I've taken there has become a customer. If you try them, you will see why!

Only place I sit down to dine. I love the owners and have been enriched by this place and really know me from my years of eating here. They also have the best kids and have made adjustments for my dietary issue. My go to is 13 and the 22 . Can't go wrong with the boneless chicken and rice for the less adventurous eaters .

First time in the Lincoln District. We came upon this little "whole in the wall" Vietnamese restaurant. We had a Bahn Mi, 2 spring rolls, 1 deep fried egg roll and a variation of "wonton" soup with tons of different meat inside. All of the food was flavorful and delicious. Tasted very fresh. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!!

Came here after a long night of drinking. The smell when I first walked in wasn't too pleasant but I'm glad I stayed to enjoy the delicious bowl of pho. They also brought me tea which was really nice, as it was a cold day. The guy who worked there was super friendly and accommodating.

Like this restaurant a lot. We had phone, the soup is stewed for long time, doesn't taste any SMG. Owner and waiter are both very nice and try to meet our needs. Strongly recommended. If one likes pho, try this one.

We were unsure of eating here because of the health rating. However we bit the bullet and we are so glad we did! It was delicious Pho and Egg rolls. The broth was flavorful and so were the egg rolls. The service was good it was just busy, but over all it was delicious and I would definitely come back if I am ever in the area.

The food was AMAZING!! My husband had the Lemongrass Chicken, and I had Beef Bún. We ate until we were stuffed and had leftovers. Their chili paste is homemade and the best I have ever had. Our total was around $30

Overall a pretty average Vietnamese restaurant. The food is good and represents the cuisine well, just nothing here that stands out as unique. A good place to go if looking for something familiar and comfortable

Best tasting pho broth in town. Traditional flavors nothing over the top like other pho places nearby. Portions are great and prices are better than most other pho restaurants. Owner is very friendly and always makes sure you are taken care of.

So happy that I live near this place. Soothing soup during the winter season, and delicious anytime. They do a great job packing to go order, very convenient when I have a cold. The pho is my favorite but the fried spring rolls are very flavorful and worth it as well.

Quick service, great food and the atmosphere was ok. Prices are at 12.50 and I had yakisoba with tofu. You have options such as chicken and beef if you don't like tofu.

Best pho in Tacoma, also love their egg rolls. Service is always lighting fast and food is always hot. Guy who owns it is a really nice guy. We probably go there too often when we're lazy to cook.

This place is awesome! Fresh and delicious, with a combo vermicelli bowl that includes a generous portion of perfectly grilled beef and shrimp skewers. Top it off with friendly and fast service and fair prices. Solid establishment that knows what they’re doing and they’re doing it very well.

First time here and will become a regular stop. Food and service were excellent. I see so many more dishes I want to try. Speaking with the staff after dinner told me they were concerned about my visit being the best ever. They were also very proud of their restaurant and the traditions they offer. Highly recommend!!!
