Delicious food and great service. We had about.a 15 minute wait for a table. I had a margarita while my fiance had an horchata. Both great! I enjoyed the chips and salsa--better than you get at other places where the chips are so thin that they break! These are thick and crunchy. I had the Carnitas Michoacán which were great. My fiance had a spinach and portobello enchilada. Then we had the plantain flameado for dessert. The presentation was so fun! And when it didn't light the first time, they took it back and tried again. That is dedication to getting it right! I was so full afterwards and very content with out meal.

Always a fantastic dinner when we are here. The service is wonderful and the staff very friendly. Definitely a favorite place for lunch, dinner or just drinks and appetizers.

Honestly some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. Very high quality ingredients. Price is on the higher side but they give you plenty of portions (we had leftovers for two days) so it's well worth it. As soon as you come in they have tortillas being made fresh on a griddle. Very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

My sister took me to Moctezuma for the first time this week, and we had a great first experience! I have a high standard for Mexican food and have been disappointing a few times at a couple of local Mexican restaurants in the area. This place is nicely decorated, and the service is fantastic! Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. We had the tequila fajita, and it was the best choice! The meat was very tender, authentic and well seasoned, and the temperature, of course, was on point. 4 stars because I was not impress by the sides . The rice was dry and the plate was messy. We will definitely return and try other dishes and drinks.

Had an absolutely delicious dinner here with my family. Started with the complimentary chips and salsa (they have the best salsa). We also ordered the Queso Flameado to start, if you've never been I would definitely recommend that. To drink I had the raspberry lemonade which had the perfect amount of tartness. For our mains we got the Birria Tacos, El Molcajete (steak, shrimp, and chicken), and the combination platter. The Birria Tacos and El Molcajete are both family favorites. The Taquito and Taco Dorado on the combination platter are always so crispy. To finish off dinner we had the Flan which was okay and the Mexican Brownie. This was our first time trying the Mexican Brownie and it was so rich and tasty. Moctezuma's has been one of our favorite restaurants for years!

Moctezuma is usually one of my favorite places to eat, but as of lately the care for details for pick up orders is seriously lacking. When I do order out it’s usually for company events at the hospital I work for. So I’m expecting the same attention to detail that I receive when I dine in. Yesterday I order the steak fajitas platter. I get a call and email that my 10pm request for pick up is too late. Even though that was a time option available on the website. I call at 9 tell them I’ll be there at 9:30 to pick up. I get there at 9:15 for my food not to be ready until 10pm like I had requested. I’m a little stressed and irritated at that point but let it go I say thank you and take my food to the event. To set up the food at work to realize it’s chicken not steak. Not that they could even do anything about it but I sent a email to L. Perez explaining the situation. Expecting a phone call the next day did not receive one. Had to call and be left on hold for 10 minutes to speak to a manager. I spoke with L. Perez for her not to offer anything, but an apology for wasted time and not receiving what I ordered. I asked what can we do to rectify this expecting her to offer my corrected order but offer 50 percent of my bill that I’ll get in 2 to 3 business days. Not happy at all with the service. And won’t uses them anymore for company events.

My husband and I came to eat here on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy and bustling, and we were able to get a seat with no wait time. My pineapple mojito was delicious and we loved the table side queso that they lit on fire and served with tortillas. I ordered the chicken tacos, and fellow spice weenies beware because they were HOT. The pinto beans and rice were full of flavor. My husband loved his pork carnitas plate. The food was delicious with generous portions, the service was quick (shout out to Manuel and Omar for great service) and the ambiance was upscale. I enjoyed our evening and Moctezuma’s and would come again

Stepped into the bar for a quick lunch. I had grilled fish tacos from the lunch menu and they were excellent. Service was phenomenal and I was in, out and back at my desk well within my hour lunch break.

Food was good but small portions for the price. Server was aloof and kept forgetting simple drinks that were ordered. I'm hoping that their service is normally better than our visit.

We found our Mexican restaurant here in Tacoma!!! Atmosphere is warm and inviting. My husband and I sat at the bar and they have outdoor seating as well. Our bartenders were Alex & Monica (Mon-eek-ka) and they are amazing! Incredible service with a smile. I had the Gran Acapulco Margarita and it was refreshing. My Husband enjoyed his Jalapeño Margarita as well. We both ordered the Carne Asada tacos....best I have had so far. I highly recommend this place!

I haven’t been here in YEARS! I have recently went with my dad and my little family. Drinks were delicious in the past and still are today. Our server was Amy P and she was a delight! I had the pick two meal, I picked one and I had her pick one and it was delicious! Great service, quick serving of food, lots of parking!

The serving sizes are huge, definitely a take home portion. The food is good authentic mexican. Good service as well. Very comfortable with the social distancing they have. Nice view from the parking lot and a welcoming site

Fast service with a smile. Great tasting food from Chillies Rellenos to fajitas you won't be disappointed. Drinks with it's true punch like Rum and Coke a favorite. Plus a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier worth snapping from their outside sitting deck.

Service was fast and accommodating...the presentation of the prawns a la tequila was beautiful...but the flavor was more mild than I liked. Their hot sauce and homemade corn tortillas were the best. Very expensive Mexican food. My husband had sizzling fajitas that weren't sizzling. Overall value was average for me.

I think our server was new but he was really nice and brought everything we requested quickly! The food was so yummy we all cleaned our entire plates, which we usually don’t do! The drinks were strong n had us feeling great! The outdoor seating was nice and peaceful as well!

It was buzy, 20 minute wait for the restaurant. The bar had many areas to sit. That's what we chose. The salsa was very tasty, spicy with lots of cilantro, yum! We also asked for a side of beans. I decided on the Combination, had a beef taco, and 2 chicken enchiladas. I absolutely loved the delicious enchiladas. Their sauce is the best I have had in a long time! not so crazy for the taco. My daughter ordered green chicken enchiladas. I came with 3. Very delicious. We definitely had leftovers. Our waitress was so friendly and nice. It was busy, but I never had to ask for more water or chips. Awesome job!

The portions are much smaller and they no longer have a happy hour. You literally cannot share. Food is not as good as it used to, lots of ice in drinks and the lady who served us didn't leave silverware and napkins. When I asked for one she gave me one napkin. There were a total of three napkins in the 2 hours we were there. I had to take from other tables and she saw me do it. Chips were stale, different type from before. I over heard other people complaining about the quality of the food so I know I was not alone. I should never see the middle of a plate for nachos. I almost asked if she dropped some on the way to the table.

Really happy when we finally tried this restaurant. We always noticed how busy it seemed to be whenever we drove by, so we expected good things and were still surprised at how good it really was. The food was delicious, and there are quite a few unique items that you wouldn't see on most Mexican menus. The service was top notch and atmosphere was quite lively. Definitely going to return to try out the rest of the menu. This would be a great place to treat out of town guests to show off a little gem of Tacoma.

Great restaurant, clearly popular. Ww came because a friend said the wrapped jalapenos here are bomb, and he was correct- they are delicious. They’re also a little spicier than normal, which I prefer, but if you don’t, maybe be cautious. Not crazy hot, definitely have some spice. We also had 2 cheese enchiladas and a birria beef enchilada. Everything was well prepared, expertly cooked, and looked great! That being said, I’m not a fan of the richer, darker enchilada sauces such as the one they use here. To me it’s too much. I’m not subtracting a star because that’s just my personal taste, if you like that type of sauce, try the enchiladas! If you don’t, don’t. Beans and rice were authentic and delicious!

It's been years since I ate here last. It was great. Service was outstanding They have an amazing menu with choices for children. The prices are very good in comparison to similar restaurants. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. Its worth it.

I like the food here, decided to order from uber eats as opposed to dining-in to avoid the long wait time. If you order out and decide to get the $4.00 per 4oz salsa, then this is what you’ll get (see photo). I only received 3.2 oz of salsa (container included) and it was not sufficient for the bag of chips I ordered (which is a $3 separate charge) I’m pretty sure you get enough while dining-in to accommodate the amount of chips that you are served for which you are not charged. This is a bit ridiculous. Please consider adjusting the price for to-go order salsa. Also my chips were stale.

Listen I was just here for the margarita flight costed $18 and I was not disappointed. The mango Chamoy was my absolute favorite. Service was ok . Wait for margarita meh . And if you're wondering the margarita altogether is ok to still drive my vision wasn't blurred unless you're a light drinker just please don't . Chips and salsa is complementary when you sit down . Mango was delicious again .

Went there for office lunch, waiter was super nice and service was quick (at least for my table). I ordered and food came super quick and tasty, the skirt steak was tender and flavorful, only complaint is that it’s pretty thin, wish it is a little bigger. The free salsa and cheese dip for the chips was super good too.

This was my first time to this location and it was fantastic! I have been to the Tukwila location and even though the booth was not as comfortable, I think my food was better here. I usually get the Molcajete and this might be the best version I have had. Everyone in our group loved the food and our service was very good!

At dinner here a couple weeks ago, Victoria our server was fantastic. Personable, enthusiastic, and responsive to questions and requests. She made the experience more enjoyable. So much so that we are back again so soon to enjoy another great meal. The food was hot and clearly made to order. The chips were warm, and the salsa not too hot. Cheers!

What started off as an early afternoon feeding frenzy, suddenly it transformed into a mini drinking frenzy! The sampler with the spicy cucumber, coconut-pineapple,mango chamoy, had me doggy baggin’ my lunch! Much love to our waitress, forgot her name, but she was there and cheery right from 11:00am(I said early😉)when we arrived until we left! Someone give her a raise!! Wonderful atmosphere, Great food, Awesome staff, what more can you ask for in this post CoronApocalypse?

Great food. Went on a Saturday and will get a reservation next time. Had a long wait for a table but staff was friendly. Drinks were good but on the skimpy side and very light. Good atmosphere.
