Before you head over, know that they are cash only, no dining in, and no public restrooms! Not a place to bring kids to sit and enjoy. If you don't mind taking your order to-go, however, then it's great! They even have a drive-thru. I ordered the chocolate and it was thickly layered on top! My daughter got the vanilla sprinkle. They cost about twice as much for the same type of donut at other locations ($1.35 here vs $0.60 at Safeway), but still not bad.

The best donuts i have ever had. Biting into the donuts was like biting into a cloud! Great seasonal options like the pumpkin spiced but i always go for the classics and the Glazed donut was superb.

Great selection, friendly staff, and must importantly delicious donuts!! Very reasonable prices as well. I would, and will absolutely be coming back for more. Tacoma has many donut options, and these guys are one of the top tier spots for sure!!

Best donuts around!!! I’m donut obsessed, coming to Paos is a Saturday morning tradition. I think about them during the week leading up to the weekend (although they are open 7 days a week) if you get there in the morning the donuts are still warm. The maple bars are OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! all of their donuts are incredible, and HUGE, I also love the vanilla sprinkle cake, and old fashioned! Always get a dozen donut holes when we stop in as well 😋 their raspberry, and blueberry scones are huge, fresh and delicious! prices are incredibly reasonable, love supporting a local family business. Cant beat the classics, these donuts are THE BEST!!

Amazing donuts at great prices! The service is fast and friendly. My kids love the donuts, and the giant cinnamon roll is wonderful. You can walk in or use the drive through window. They are cash only, so be sure to keep that in mind. If you like donuts, or cinnamon rolls, you owe yourself a trip to Pao's.

Definitely the best donuts I've ever had, and they're not even expensive. They're always fresh and some of them are about the size of two donuts put together. The people working there are also very friendly. Favorites are the cinnamon twists, maple bars, and crullers, but I haven't had a bad one yet.

This is an in and out cash for donuts operation. Stand in line, pick out your donuts, pay with cash and go:). Crullers are amazing and the donuts melt in your mouth. I’ve never been in the drive thru but I’ve seen people use it and the process seems just as quick! Great place.

First time going today but definitely will be back, staff was friendly, and the donuts are really good, and great prices especially for the size of them.

Really as good a donut as you will ever find. And I always try the local donut shop wherever I go! Just basic, traditional donuts made perfectly. Plain cake and powdered are my recommendations Only wish all their options were available when they open.

The place looks clean but lovingly cluttered. The donuts were of very high quality. The glaze was crisp and the dough was warm and soft. I really appreciated that the donuts weren't overwhelmingly sweet. Tge service was polite and friendly. I see why this place is so popular!

Other than being cash only: the donuts are the toppest tier. Fluffy soft melt in you mouth. Straight forward. No legendary donuts gimmicks vibes.

Top notch donuts. My favorite is the cake donut with roasted coconut topping. Bring cash no cards accepted. I remember when this place was a dollar a donut, their prices have not gone up a whole lot still very reasonable at $1.50 out the door. Highly recommend.

What used to be one of the best donut shops around has completely changed in recent years. I don't know if they have new management or what, but now I'm having to throw away donuts on almost every visit. Burnt oil and raw dough is not fun at all.

These were some awesome donuts. I had the vanilla cream powered and my daughter had a rainbow sprinkle chocolate bar. The donuts we’re extremely fluffy, had great flavor, and were BIG. Definitely would come here again. On the minus side, the coffee was a bit weak, and they only take cash. But everything was really well priced. I’d recommend you give them a try if you’re into donuts!
