Lovely place. Big pool and big hot tub. The changing rooms are spacious, with many stalls for personal changing and restrooms. There are even 4 separate family shower rooms. Every morning I've gone I've been always warmly greeted by the other swimmers. They have just about everything you need in a weight room. There's a few gyms and separate work out spaces, along with an indoor lap area. Easy access to everything. There's also quiet spaces for kids to come study, or for an adult to go and read in peace. And beautiful murals throughout the center, and painting to boot. They also have a vaccination group that came in the other day if your looking for a booster. As well a farmers market that I've been wanting to go to. It's also a boys and girls club, and the other day I think I saw a group of them running in the track and field across the way. I think also the best part is that it's only $25 a month, or $5 for a day pass. Come check it out. This place is a gem.

SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! Shoukd be a sign posted at pool. They do not keep it clean. Black spots always on wall of hot tub. I went for a couple of weeks and 1st day I seen how it was kept and wasn't happy, even question lifeguard and they said it will get clean right away. However, I went a couple more times and still bad. Also, found something in pool that was expelled from someone and all that was done, was lifeguard took it out. Nothing else done. No water check or remove of people. Also, showers not working properly. Cold water comes out most of them .

Brand new community center in East Tacoma. Opened in October of 2018. Has pools and exercise room, basketball courts. Front desk people seem helpful and friendly.

This was our first time here. But won't be our last. It's very beautiful community center. Great pool and jacuzzi to access for only $3/person. Open 7 days a week. Public free days to access open gym and you have the option to sign up as a member or family pass.

Very fun pool. Me and my dad have a lot of fun at the pool with the waterslide. Very friendly staff and lifeguards. You have the best pool in town!

Eastside Community Center is a great place to workout, meet people and have fun. The center has a gym, track, weight/cardio center and pool. The center has fitness group workouts for young and old that include aqua aerobics. You can schedule birthday parties, weddings, etc in one of the 5 rooms. The center has several community events throughout the year. Membership fees are reasonable but they provide financial aid for those in need.

The pool is fantastic, the gym is really great. Just a fair warning to parents, if you're hoping to rent out one of the conference rooms for your child's birthday so she can go swimming with her friends and then have cupcakes and pizza afterward. They won't let you, they specifically told me that they won't rent out to people having a pool party. What the heck is the point of having the COMMUNITY center if you're going to nit pick who can rent rooms. If they wanted a larger deposit or something I'd understand.

I was disappointed by the poor customer service at this community center. I had signed up for a swimming session, but when I arrived on the day of the session, I was informed that the pool was closed for repairs. No one had notified me about the situation beforehand. When I checked with the front desk a few days later, they told me that I had been withdrawn from the system and that I would need to reapply for the session. This lack of communication and confusion is not fair to customers. The facilities themselves look great, but the poor customer service experience really detracted from the overall visit.

I normally go to Peoples center but thought I would try the water aerobics class. Eastside is one of the cities nicest centers and does have the largest, deepest pool. The rest of the facility is top notch also.

I love the opportunities Metro Parks offers people of all ages. Recently started a membership, to get back into swimming, and it is one of the best decisions I've made for my health and wellness. At Eastside, the pool is huge, there are lap lanes, a whirlpool, and a toddler zone. Aside from the pool, the staff always greet me when I enter, and the everyone is inclusive. There are all kinds of programs and outtings advertised for visitors, like mixed martial arts classes, and basketball tournaments. There is a standard gym, basketball court, a Boys' n Girls' club, and a lot more. For $25/mo the perks are great, I'd recommend it if you are looking for more involvement in the community!

We love the pool here, and the pricing is very reasonable making this a great place to take a family. Unfortunately we are very sad that Metro Parks decided to eliminate their morning Saturday Session. Now there is only 1 Rec Swim time available on Saturday- it fills up crazy fast and unfortunately the pool is closed on Sundays. We were also very sad to hear they no longer allow Swimming Birthday Parties.

A beautiful community center with a ton to offer. We were here for a gratitude banquet and the gymnasium was very large and spacious. The kitchen services were on point the bathrooms were clean and the slide was phenomenal for an adult

Great as far as modern amenities, splash pool with regular pool and a decent work out session area. As a community project center with local events as an outreach, it's fantastic. I wouldn't put this place in to YMCA territory, and it isn't in that category at all with all of what is trying to be provided here, but there could be a little more organization for prices being charged for membership. It really is trying to be a community center.

Came here for the Eastside Farmer’s Market so that’s what this review pertains to. I wouldn’t even call this a farmers market. They had 4 total tents, and only 3 were actually selling something, and only fruit and vegetables. I’d call this “farmers market” a glorified fruit stand.

It is very hard to enroll a child in swim classes. You have about 30 minutes from the time they open the enrollment. To register your child. Then sometimes they open enrollment early and don't tell you.The staff is polite and courteous. The pool and surrounding area is clean.

Good quality swim instruction. Clean. But very very inconsistent instructions from staff about the check in process and where we could sit or eat snacks and so on. There is clearly very inadequate information about policies among the staff and it's very poorly communicated to those of us coming in to the center. I'm very disappointed.
