I don’t usually review but I need to do it for this restaurant. The food is super delicious that I have been looking for so long. Try their signature Bo Ne and Vietnamese Udon. You won’t disappointed! So many good dish that I will take time to try all. The restaurant is very clean, big portion, affordable price and the taste is boom. Just keep wondering why I didn’t know this place earlier!

VK Viet Kitchen is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Tacoma, Washington. The restaurant is conveniently on 38th Street (East of I-5), with plenty of parking on the streets and designated parking around the corners. The owners (couple), Vincent and Kenny, are fantastic and friendly. The food is delicious! If you're from Portland to Seattle or vice versa, VK VIET KITCHEN is the place. Try their Bon Ne, Pork Blood & organ Congee, BBQ duck noodles, or grilled squid -- all are delicious! I enjoy their food, but lately, it's hit and missed for us on several dishes. 1). The bread for the Bon Ne burnt, so we had to tell the waiter to toast another one. 2). For the duck noodles, the soup is a bit salty, and the dried bamboo shoot is chewy. They should soak the bamboo shoot in the water a bit longer. I spit half of the bamboo shoot out and couldn't swallow it. The steamed duck and the sweet fish sauce (salad) are perfect. 3). The Bee Loc Lac with steamed rice, rice is uncooked but smells like it was sitting in the pot for a long while. Also saw a piece of napkin in the rice. It's a little thing, but all experienced it. Anyway, so my wife just ate the beef and not the old steamed rice.

Excellent fast service, tried something different Pad Thai in a Vietnamese restaurant. It was pretty good, seafood version had very large prawns. Not spicy but tasted very authentic and I use to live in Thailand. The spring rolls were large and delicious with peanut sauce. Highly recommend. Place looked clean and staff wore mask. This was item R3. I went back and had V7 very good.

If you are looking for delicious Vietnamese food, this place is a must stop. From their noodle dishes to their rice plates, everything is perfectly cooked with yummy flavors. We had pork loin, Bun Bo Hue (Vietnamese spicy noodle), grilled octopus and a couple of beers. All of these plates were phenomenal. On top of that, the service is outstanding!! Highly recommend VK Viet Kitchen to anyone who loves to eat!

This restaurant has a good clear environment and friendly staff. Reasonable prices with big portion of food. Only thing is that the taste of the food is just average.

The smell walking in, I knew I would be coming back. I got a simple meatball and steak pho. It was great. Saw so many fantastic dishes and all the specials sounded so good. Haven't been to many other Vietnamese places in the area so I'll do an edit in a month or two.

I believe nostalgia is the best ingredient of all time when it comes to food. I found it here at VK. The food and drinks were delicious. The welcoming atmosphere and the little chat with the owners made you feel at home and at ease. The first bite of food and first sip of drinks brought me so much joy and teary eyes. Thank you for the love and attention that you’ve put into your creations.

Pho was delicious. Could really taste the Asian spices nice beef flavor. Tried the egg rolls and they were bomb! they let me order with lettuce, pickled Dikon abd carrots and fish sauce. I roll everything up in the lettuce and dip in fish sauce and siracha…. So fire!! They may have charged extra for this I don’t know. Price was reasonable so I didn’t bother to check. I got the wide noodle stir fry (servers recommendation) to go for a late dinner. Flavor was perfect and I actually ran out of noodles before beef! They don’t skimp on the beef either which is rare (like the beef HA!) nowadays. Also tried the brisket which was delish also. 100% going back to try the Crab egg rolls and get more pho. If you’re thinking about it stop and just go. You will NOT regret it.

I had the honor to meet the honor while I was pigging out here. He travels the world to bring the flavors to you. Must try and really value for the price on the menu. Try the squid and if you are feeling adventurous, try something else recommended by him.

Very delicious and authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Their Bun Bo Hue tasted really good. The grilled squid is a must have - super flavorful and chewy. Great value for money!

My boyfriend and I love eating here. This is the restaurant where we frequent the most and it’s my favorite Vietnamese restaurant ever. The food is excellent and so is the customer service. My dad, who is normally very picky with Vietnamese food, even commented on how good the grilled squid is. My fave dishes here are the grilled squid and bamboo duck noodle.

The people were great but the food was just ok. We ordered take out of.. Shaken beef: beef cooked really well but no flavor. Grilled pork + prawns + egg roll : only 1 pork skewer and 1 skewer of prawns. Again, cooked well but no flavor. Mango sticky rice: it was good.

Vincent & Kinney go out of their way to make each guest feel welcome while providing such a culinary education and experience to each of their guests! We took our ALMA Tacoma leadership staff on a special lunch date recently and as usual, VK Kitchen went out of their way to make our lunch memorable and delicious. Dine here any chance you can!

Great service and their food is outstanding. Must try the grilled squid dish. It'd be nice the host could be a little more friendly with smiles. Other than that, this is a great restaurant. Will definitely come back soon.

Authentic, special food! This food took us straight back to Ha Noi! Many traditional items on menu that you can't find at any Vietnamese restaurants. We had Bun Cha Ha Noi and Ban Xeo, they were so good and authentic. Served with great dipping sauce and a ton of fresh greens just like in Viet Nam. Will drive from Olympia just to eat here!

The food is so delicious 😋 and authentic, your taste buds will be in love. The staff were very friendly and professional. They also gave us suggestions on other cuisines that we might like to try as well. We are going back for seconds...next time. Our bellies are too full.

We had Bun Mam, Mango salad, chicken banh mi and chicken wings My hubby likes this salas a lot, thick sauce and lots of fresh shrimp. It isnt green mango though, but i can understand how hard to get the green one in market. Bun mam is a bit salty for my taste, lots of meat and seafood inside, get the original flavour. Nice customer service.

I love the food here, but this is the only pho place that I've ever gotten MSG headaches, I've eaten here about 3 times and every time I get horrible migraines. Apart from that, really tasty food.

I was able to get two meals out of my seafood curry pad Thai, and still had some to share with a roommate. He said he'd buy the next day if I would go back and get the same thing. I agreed, and I bought an order of seafood fried rice. It's a modest atmosphere, but the food and service is so good that you won't notice it!
