It's my favorite place in town. I'm here just about every day. It's gorgeous.

This park is only a couple of years old and look at the reviews! It's really a can't-miss stop on a trip to Tacoma. And if you've lived in Tacoma your whole life and haven't made it down yet GO. There are views of Commencement Bay, Mt Rainier, and even whales!

Beautiful walk along the boardwalk following the water and watching sea lions play near shore. People are friendly. Really nothing much else to do, and there is no beach. You can catch the ferry, which would be fun. Not much on the road to Point Defiance but if there is I didn't see signs or maps or anything that said "walk this way" toward shops and restaurants. Ended up just a nice lileisurely stroll with my son. The end.

On the right day, this place is simply breathtaking. Always crowded, but worth every bit.

Really neat park. Not huge, but a nice place to walk with a great view of the Sound, downtown Tacoma, and Mt. Rainier.

Would of gave 5 stars if one could get to the water. My dog would have loved to swim and gotten a closer look at the seal we saw sunning itself. There’s a human slide meaning big I assume. We didn’t walk the entire park . One can rent quaint bicycles for 4 and cruise it that way. Skaters , everything that rolls is allowed and the dog! Great day and fun here.

The scenery is breathtaking. The inlet is fun to observe with sea animals. It's a park for all ages. Love to see families come walking, having picnic, playing on the lawn or climbing to the " Pyramide". The phone was taken July 22, 2021.

Wonderful place to take the family, couples walk, walk the dogs, ride your bike, or just individual sitting watching the seals/whales. This place has the longest set of slides I have ever seen. We did see seals, no whales maybe next time. You can just sit watching the boats or have a picnic lunch. Bathrooms were available & clean. No matter what the age you can enjoy. Wheel chair accessible.

It's a great park, typically clean and with bathrooms and drinking fountains. The art and architecture is certainly... Interesting. (Ominous pyramids, anyone?) But I get where they are coming from. A piece of Tacoma history and a great, scenic place to enjoy the outdoors.

Great location next to Point Ruston and a wonderful addition to Point Defiance Park. Make sure to check out the pedestrian bridge to the main park. The kids will also enjoy the Stairs and Slides next Wilson Way Bridge!

Great public space to get steps in with the dog and take in the views. Spotted pinnipeds from the trail. Sculptures, interpretive panels, and restrooms. Free parking.

Oh I just love visiting Ruston so much, I always come to this park and, either take a walk or I bicycle around the whole walkway. This park itself is really nice, you have a view of the lake as you walk by, I’ve heard that you might spot a whale in the water, depending on the season or time of day, the air is so clean and fresh, I really love the view of the apartment buildings, they’re so big and cool looking! There are plenty of others walking as well, it’s just so peaceful and nice.

Dune peninsula offers a lovely landscape between sea and islands. The lucky ones may see impressive Elephant Seals
