Update 5/27/2023… Made a reservation for dinner party of 8 last month and today was the day. Got to try a bunch of new steaks tonight. We had the A5 Japanese Ribeye, A5 Japanese Filet. Both of these were so tender and seemed to melt in your mouth. The Porterhouse, Ultra Australian Filet and the Arrachera Steak. This place has by far the best steaks in the PNW. Our server Bianca was on point and there to answer any questions and get what ever we needed. The table side smoked Old Fashion’s were so good I would highly recommend them. For dessert we had the Spanish Cheese cake which was light and creamy as well as the Flan trio which was as good as the first time we had it. Previous post April 2023: Cuerno Bravo Steakhouse has been on my list for a while. Finally got a chance to go, only which we had gone sooner. We went for a tasting before a larger party later next month. So we sampled multiple things. Definitely would recommend the Filet Mignon flight which gives you a chance to sample all grades of steak they have available. Of course we liked the Japanese A5 Wagyu as it melted in your mouth. The Flan flight was to die for. Overall everything was above expectations. They take reservations on Yelp or via phone. They are open Wednesday to Sunday 1600-2200.

One of the best steakhouses we’ve tried so far! Very popular, so reservations are advised. Chill and elegant vibes, great service, and amazing steak. Shareable sides are both beautiful and delicious, and the velvety cheesecake to follow was my favorite. The cocktails are so creative and absolutely delightful! So much flavor, and so much care taken in presentation and aroma! We will definitely be back!

We brought our friends from out of town and they said it’s the best steak they’ve ever had, absolutely agree. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick. The atmosphere is very cozy yet classy. We will absolutely be back, even just for a quick baked potato and cocktails. And of course the steak. It is approachable to folks not into “steak culture”.

Where do I begin? This was our time eating at this restaurant. The ambiance was warm and cozy and buzzing with life, the staff welcoming and our server Denzel was really great. We read no reviews we simply went on the recommendation of a friend and we were NOT disappointed. The food was well seasoned, juicy and succulent. The wine we chose paired really well with our meal and was really delicious. We have been to some of the "Top" steakhouses in and around the area but Cuerno Bravo Steakhouse is without a shadow of a doubt the best!!! The prices for the food is well worth the taste and the service. We will be going back for more. Thank you making my special day special.

Absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk through the doors, the entire experience is an absolute delight. Our server was on her last day of training, but you'd never have guessed she was new. She was prompt, friendly, and skillfully accommodated my dietary restrictions by offering excellent alternative options. Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! This was unquestionably the finest steak I've ever savored, and I consider myself quite the meat enthusiast. It's hard to believe I've spent my entire life in Tacoma without ever setting foot in this establishment. I'll unquestionably become a regular here, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others

Listen to me. My god. The steak at this place was absolutely exquisite! Chefs kiss🤌🏾 5 HUGE STARS! from the friendly service to the steak coming to us cooked on a dam hot stone. Just phenomenal steaks. I kid you not. They ain’t paying me to make this review and I never leave reviews. But I’ve eaten here a few times now and I believe it’s the very least I can do. I’ve never had something so delicious in my life. I’ve eaten at so many places but if I was on death row and Had to choose one meal. It’s Cuervo bravo NY strip steak. Hands down. This is my husband and I's favorite restaurant in Tacoma our go-to for special occasions. We have brought multiple friends here for dinner who also love the food. The environment is great and the staff is incredibly helpful/friendly.

If I could give this place more stars, I WOULD! This is one of our favorite date night places! Everything is wonderful! Portions are huge and drinks are freakin amazing!! First: Get the Bone Marrow app -- amazing!! Main Course: You cant go wrong with any of the steaks! We have only ordered steaks, so I am unsure of the other main course plates like the tacos, etc. But I would assume they are just as good as everything else. Shareable Sides: Loco Papas - was huge and filled with everything and sooooo good! We ordered a side of rice and beans and loved it! Drinks: We arent fans of Mezcal, but the bartender was so nice to switch out for tequila per our request! Recommend: The Guava Habanero Margarita. Dessert: the three flans were delicious! Save room!! Get a reservation and go! Lastly, the wait staff was great and very attentive!

Feast on nothing better in Tacoma than Cuerno Bravo. Grab a reservation and plan a few visits. Meet the meat prepared exactly as it should be. Great service Fantastic Australian Ribeye You will decline dessert and roll out satisfied to the brim of your cocktail glasses. Dress up and make your next night out Cuerno Bravo. Just be sure to save me a seat. 😉

The food was absolutely amazing! The waitress was happy to explain everything on the menu, however, because the music is ridiculously loud we could barely hear her. Unless you sit on the same side of the table, conversation is going to be difficult. Not sure what sort of vibe they are going for but I’m not into “nightclub style” music volume when I’m trying to enjoy a meal of that caliber. It really turned us off from wanting to go again. Food is amazing though, just don’t sit across from one another if you want to talk.

Quality steaks with a Mexican flare. Great variety of salsas- but no chips.. Sides were excellent and sharable. Highly reccomend the baked potato. Craft cocktails are on point.

Great dining experience. Meats cook just like you ordered. Come hungry!! Portions are good sized. Beautifully decorated, wheelchair accessible, fair priced. Did I mention they have fire wood ovens and the place smells like rosemary, fire and meats? Obviously, not a place for vegans or vegetarians.

Seriously, this place is our go to for anytime we have something special to celebrate, or are just wanting a great steak. Skip El Gaucho and go here. This place is smaller so make reservations at least a week or two in advance. I would say it’s hard for them to accommodate a table that’s more than 6 people, so call ahead to make that happen, as there’s no option online to do that. Ambiance is great, service is fantastic and most importantly the food is to die for! I will say one thing we can’t stand is how quick they are to turn tables, so at times you do feel rushed, but I get it, it’s a smaller restaurant and they’re trying to get everyone in. If it’s your first time, definitely get the Papa Loca to share for a side, it’s a glorified loaded baked potato, the Rajitas Poblanas and the Guacamole. I love how they also give you an array of different sauces to have with your meal, which someone like me can totally appreciate. Also, the Flan Flight was one of the best deserts I’ve ever had. Don’t hesitate to come here, you won’t regret it!

I found this restaurant on TikTok and could not wait to try it. The wait times were reasonable for a weekend evening. I ordered the A5 Japanese Wagyu wrapped in gold, and holy moly… best cut I’ve ever had! Didn’t even need a knife to cut through it, melted in your mouth like butter. Service was really good, and the ambience of the place was perfect date night. Will definitely return in the near future!

Oh yeah! This steakhouse is the PLACE to go! Our waiter Christian (i think was his name 😬) was really nice and took his time to explain the menu to us. The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious and the dessert were mouth watering. We are definitely going back soon!

A carnivore's delight. Omnivores will love it, too. Vegetarians and vegans should avoid the place. Wonderful steaks with delicious sides and appetizers. Great drinks, too. Pricy, but worth it if your meat and how it's prepared matters to you.

The atmosphere and vibe projected offer stylish and sophisticated features that attract, yet after over a dozen experiences throughout, I can share that this establishment falls short in two areas with alarming consistency - service and menu options. Even on a Monday night, when the restaurant is half full, our party of four experienced remained consistent with any of my previous experiences. Great hosts, quick to help guide seating and immediate water & menu service - but beyond that, even ordering a simple cocktail from the bar (one each) ... and then later asking twice for our check...took 57 minutes. Yes, I timed it. Not because we didn't want more, mind you, but because we weren't waited on, checked in on by the bartender, etc. However, past experience in the dining area has consistently included the same initial experience, where your drink comes out after your meal is finished or nearly finished, and then they rush to get you out of your seat so they can turn the restaurant over... Once, I had my check brought, but my cocktail that I ordered, prior to my meal, had yet to arrive. I'm typically not a hard sell. Having worked in service, I can see through one-off experiences. Yet, after so many attempts, I can truly say that this establishment is overrated. The food menu is unchanged regardless of season, and although the cuts of steak are incredible, the rest is less appealing and unbalanced.

The food was good, so was the service. The atmosphere was more like eating in a nightclub and could barely hear what people were saying across the table. Felt very uncomfortable during our visit. I'm not sure if A5 wagyu "self cook" is dry aged or not, but something seemed a little off. It's was like meat that was left in the fridge for a bit too long was kinda grayish and a bit funky, but the outer rim had a nice pinkness to it. Dessert was the best part of the meal!!! That sweet corn Flan is Great!!!!

Our anniversary was coming up and we were faced with the decision of where to go for dinner. I asked my husband what he was hungry for and he said steak so he searched online and found Cuerno Bravo. I read the reviews and made a early Saturday reservation. Because of the reviews I knew parking was limited so we opted to Uber. They opened the doors promptly at 4:00 and we were seated away from the bar as I had requested. Our server, Evan came to us almost immediately, pouring our water offering a multitude of fresh vegetables and fruits to add to it along with a liabation menu that he went over with us. Both of us had already decided what we were going to order before we arrived by looking at their online menu. Evan still went over the menu with us explaining the differences in each cut of meat. My husband had already decided on the 38 Oz Porterhouse steak and I had thought I wanted the Ribeye tacos but after speaking with Evan I decided on the Wagyu tacos instead and I'm so glad I did. They were served with a side of beans that were cooked perfectly and were surprisingly slightly sweet. In addition condiments of two different Salsa's, a milder version and very flavorful and spicy salsa that made my nose run.:) also pico de gallo, the most wonderful pickled red onions and a type of guacamole sauce. The tacos literally melted in my mouth and were absolutely heavenly. I enjoyed two glasses of their Pilsner and a wonderful Slice of Cheesecake with fresh fruit to finish the meal. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak and the only thing that was left was a bare bone. The service was impeccable as was the food. I was thoroughly impressed and plan on making reservations for our next anniversary! Thank you all for a wonderful, memorable meal!

If you know or have heard all the good things about this place, it's all true. The staff is professional, very nice, and knowledgeable. The steaks were AMAZING. I have never paid that much for dinner before but it was honestly worth every cent. Everything was just top notch.

We decided to stop here on our way back home from Seattle. Great decision. Made a reservation and we had to wait 10 minutes past our reservation time, but it was worth the wait. Steak and the potatoes was delicious! Love the atmosphere and our server took the time to explain the dishes. Will definitely come back to try other menu items!

I have to say hands down the best steak in Tacoma to Olympia. The Austrailian 8oz Filet Mignon on the hot stone is on point!! Such juicy buttery flavor coupled with sauces if you so choose! The Painkiller cocktail was outstanding as well! Their rice was so very yummy I wish they would share the recipe! Atmosphere was good there with amazing details and decor. It is kind of loud for a very nice steakhouse but we were next to front window. It may be quieter the further back in the restaurant you go.

Just amazing. This is the type of place that you forget existed because of all the changes during the pandemic, but when you go inside you're like "oh yeah.....this is what the world was before." The staff is awesome. From the moment you walk in until you leave (full and happy), the staff makes you feel like you're a VIP. The food itself is amazing. We had bone marrow, the fish tacos, the flank steak, and 2 sides (creamed poblanos and rice). There wasn't a single bite that was less than perfect. If you need a birthday or anniversary dinner with a fun, not as formal vibe, this is where you want to hang out.
