Jan's Kneipe

Super-local joint playing good music (mostly 80s hits) with really tasty pub food. The service is 100% awesome. The girls that served us for our few days there were so attentive and were at our table for the next round right when we needed it.

The next place to eat and drink at when in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Its cosy, busy and friendly. We were treated very well. The food and beers are good too.

When you hear them pounding the schnitzel, you know it’s going to be good! Great service, reasonable prices, and a very nice atmosphere! Must try.

Absolutely incredible. We ordered the schnitzel with potato salad, and everything was amazing. Onion soup was great as well, very cheesy! Portion sizes are generous and prices are reasonable (though it's cash only). The vibes are very nice as well. More people need to come here to taste their food!

This was a treat. The cozy local pub was exactly what we were looking for. Excellent friendly service. Wonderful food, and we lucked out with happy hour on Friday with a special beer keg tapped for the occasion. Don’t tell anyone! Hahaha.

What a fantastic place, stuck in a little corner close to the heart of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The food is absolutely amazing and at a very fair price… Jan is better than most master chefs! The service is fantastic… Mandy never misses a beat! Finally, the crowds are overwhelmingly locals so you know this is the place you want to be. Absolutely perfect in every sense! Other restaurants should take note… there no better place in Bavaria!

A cute cosy local pub, very kind and polite host and a super friendly atmosphere. The food was very delicious, fresh, and in a generous portion. Definitely suggest it!

Very good food. We had the schnitzel and the beef steak, both were delicious and genuinely good food.

Spoke to a local about where to eat not on the tourist streets and wow are we so happy we found this place! The food is absolutely the best we have had here, its home cooking goodness without the high tourist prices. The owners could not have been more welcoming, and the locals who were sitting around us all seem to know each other and made for a welcoming environment too. We were told cash only beforehand so no issue there. We left full, happy, and thankful for such a wonderful dinner at a local gem. Don’t pass it by, definitely worth stopping in!

Ordered two takeaway Schnitzels - they were excellent - both portion size and quality were outstanding - and all this at a very fair price👍👍. I will definitely be back 😀
