One of the best restaurants in Tahoe City… some tasty and unique flavors with Asian fusion. Good seafood and steak and a wide selection of drinks. Gyoza was our favorite appetizer we had here. Nice atmosphere and decor and outdoor seating with lake views during the summer months. Recommended.

Delicious food in an intimate dining room. Started with a tasty pear “Elevation” martini coupled with ahi tuna cones (wasabi cream in the tip). Yum. Followed up with gyoza starter with a ginger sauce. My main was a Thai seafood stew in a coconut milk. Mildly spicy and delicious. Dessert was a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and meringue. Very attentive and friendly service. Come at sundown for Mountain View!

Absolutely delicious! This was an amazing dinner to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. They made it extra special with a window table. Thank you for this wonderful memory!

Been coming here for years, but my last two visits (especially this most recent one) have been disappointing. They have a nice view, but there’s no way to reserve a view table as a solo dinner (even a small table) to get that view. But my main complaint this time, was the food. The Chicken Dumplings were tasty, but like my main course, had this unnecessary pickled vegetable that really tossed the dish out of balance. It was also served in this weird s-shaped dish with the sauce underneath the dumplings. Made it difficult to grip the dumplings and even more difficult to get any of the sauce. A dipping bowl would have been better. Fancy but totally impractical. But the real disappointment was the Halibut. It was unevenly cooked, going from well done to slight undercooked. Really poor, especially at this price. Then there were those pickled veggies again, but the real low point was a massive amount of overwhelming pesto. It absolutely smothered the fish and the ginger Thai sauce. (Which had it’s own issues, being overly salty and with a strong vinegar taste) It’s all you could taste. A beautiful piece of fish absolutely ruined. Two stars for the meal, plus one star because I have fond memories of this place. All in all, a really poor meal.

Everything we had here was absolutely amazing. The menu is full of super creative Japanese inspired dishes. The poke cones, crab tempura, truffle fries, miso cod, filet mignon, lemon tart, and chocolate moose were all Devine. The service was fantastic as well - we came to celebrate our first anniversary and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Our waitress was knowledgeable, had great recommendations, and provided prompt service. I highly recommend dinner here for anyone looking for delicious and unique food (and a great night out).

We have been in Lake Tahoe for a week and have been enjoying all the area restaurants. We unequivocally agree that tonight’s meal at Wolfdales was exceptional. It’s a must when you visit Lake Tahoe. We started with the Ahi Poke Cones (OMG), next the Ahi&Hamachi Sashimi, then the Pumpkin Soup and the Arugula Salad. All were phenomenal. Then I had the Seared Ling Cod entree. Superb! My husband had the Filet Mignon. We absolutely loved the entire meal!

We ran into this little gem while driving around Lake Tahoe. The food, service & atmosphere were spectacular! As appetizers, we started with fresh (colossal) oysters with traditional spicy cocktail sauce & perfect sweet mignonette sauce. We also ordered the Sampler, which came with spring rolls, gyoza & pork bao buns. The pork belly was thick & cooked to perfection. The buns also included lightly pickled cucumbers, which was a great addition. For the main course, we shared the Oso bucco pork shank with a red wine reduction. We accompanied it with a side of sautéed wild mushrooms & currants. We sat at the bar & Tara tended to us. She was the best! Great energy and super sweet. We later learned the owner was the one who cooked our dinner. Chefs kiss! CHEERS!

Would be 3.5, food wasn’t bad just not special and not cheap. Main was mostly sweet and one note, panna cotta was a nice finish.
