Fabulous no frills place with reasonable prices that the locals go to for Danzai noodles (擔仔麵). The 滷味 is also excellent. I have tried quite a few places in Tainan for Danzai noodles and this place is my favorite. I would recommend skipping some of the other more famous chains/spots and trying this place.

Tasty danzai noodles and the good selection of luwei to pick from as well that they chop up and season for you. There's taiwan beer for purchase as well. Loved the authentic and local experience.

The food is just okay. The flavors are just subtle. But the people are so kind to someone like me who doesn't speak Mandarin.

My go-to place for Tainan Danzai noodles - greater volume of noodles with reasonable price! I always enjoy having a meal here beside the roundabout :)

This noodle is a local speciality. But I have tried it a few times and have to conclude it is really not something I like, though I am a big fan of noodles.

We went to this place for the famous Danzai Noodles and I personally loved it 😍 Both the soup and dry versions were full of flavour and I loved the fresh garlic used. It was pretty affordable as well - for 2 people we paid just 170 (incl. the vegetables to share). The place is being run by very nice and hardworking people! When in Tainan, I’ll be back for sure!!!

The restaurant is a hole in the wall. The dang dang noodles taste good except for the 魯蛋亁又硬. The older guy sitting on a short stool used his hand to put the green scallions in our noodles without using a glove. I’m not used to see that and only hope his hand was extremely sanitary.
