六甲地區的豆菜麵起源自顏寅木，其本身是六甲甲東人，早期以販售木炭維生，但日治後期因受戰火影響糧食短缺，木炭生意不佳，因而改賣麵食。 因其住宅鄰近媽祖廟（恆安宮）市場，故凌晨麵食製作完成後便運送至菜市場販賣。其因為在麵條上面加上水煮豆芽，所以當時人們就稱呼為「豆菜麵」，也因為當時六甲地區僅此一家販售，且顏寅木偏名為阿水仔，六甲居民便稱呼顏寅木為「大麵水仔」。 細數六甲地區販售豆菜麵大宗的大麵耀、大麵福、徐家製麵外，隱身於騎樓下的林家，亦是歷史60餘年且已傳承三代的銅板美食，它也是我十幾年前第一次在六甲吃豆菜麵的店家。淋上蒜頭醬油，加入辣椒醬拌勻，搭配店家免費贈送的味噌湯，日常中最簡單不過的美味。

It tastes good, not very salty or oily, and the big bowl is only 25 yuan (on a scale). The boss asked me if I wanted miso soup, but since I didn’t bring an extra take-out box, I declined. I heard that it’s available for internal use. Free miso soup and bean sprouts noodles are the breakfast that you can experience as a local.

The bean noodles are generous and refreshing, the braised tofu is limited to holidays, the fish noodle soup is sweet and the fish soup is solid.
