😠 Horrible service When I asked for more detail about the menu, The waiter rolled eyes in front of me. So we decided to leave immediately. Stop pretending the Japanese way, you are ruining their culture.

The exterior environment and interior decor demonstrated traditional Japanese vibe, where it utilized old Japanese building and yard on the spot. These were nice, but that's the only advantage. Other than that, there were many disadvantages require further improvement. - The water in thermos for hojicha can only be considered warm, not even hot, which was not desirable for traditional tea drinks. The hojicha itself was not of great quality and tasted much bitter and less fragrant than expected. - The waiter usually walked between the guest tables to serve stuff, instead of walking from the empty side, which we have never seen any waiter/server did in Japan. It's impolite and may consider disturbing. - In this kind of tatami-based place, servers/waiters should be careful about their footsteps. If they do not tread lightly walking on tatami, they will cause continuous disturbance and noise to the surrounding diners. This was also rarely seen in Japan. - Most of the items on the menu, including savory ones and some of wagashi were sold out, even just two hours after opening and five hours left until closing. Inventory control and adjustment are required. - The texture of agar jelly was not right, perhaps too much agar were used in the process of making the jelly, creating uncomfortable tasting experience. The flavor was also not dominant enough to showcase the major ingredient, like brown sugar, which was pity. As price suggests, this is not a place for cheap stuff, so we expect better wagashi and drinks. We came here to see if we can somehow relive certain moments we had in Japan, but it seems that there are still so much to improve.

Beautiful garden and well maintained tea house. The food price is rather high.

Great tea, great desserts in a very special old house. Bring you back to the old time of Tainan city. Almost feel like in Japan.

Very cute japanase-style tea house. Had a matcha latte there, was delicious. I love the interior, very stylish. The owner is very nice as well. Highly recommend.

Very quiet and aesthetic place to get a good matcha tea. On the other hand it’s very busy and popular. Our recommendation would be to come here and reserve a spot on the queue. Than take the time and visit the close by Tainan park and wait for the callback.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Excellent ambience and service! Meat is of good quality. Plating is elegant. Particularly recommend the hot stone garlic rice with prawn, it’s mind blowing good. Place is great for celebrations and gathering. :) oh yes, their grill doesn’t leave the hair and clothes stinking. It’s a plus plus point!
