Lively luscious decor with a home-y communal area with a small kitchen. The owner and front desk staff feel less like employees and more like distant relatives or family friends! You will surely feel welcomed regardless of what language you speak or where you’re from. Great spot!

Stayed in mid Oct’23 for an unplanned 3D2N here and I am still reminiscing the stay, the memories and all the wonderful people I met in this small and cosy hostel. Big big thanks to Fuqi Lead for connecting people all around the world. If it’s not him, I’d not met a Malaysian who now became a dear friend to me. And thank you too for letting us to join in the mini farewell party. I am both thankful and grateful to be welcomed by this warm and big family here…….and also amazed by how this little place connects people from all over the world. All in all, terima kasih (thank you in Malay) for all the wonderful and beautiful memories, Fuqi! Looking forward to my next visit! 😊 p.s. Thank you so so much too to one of the staffs, Elena for staying late with us and being our friendly guide to the delicious beef soup etc……..when you don’t have to and still have to work the next day. 🥹🥹🥹

Very nice hostel~ so friendly staff and service, what’s more , they could help U send the post cards to yourself or someone U love in the coming future …maybe 10 years later or 50 years later….( I heard the most long time from the hostel staff)~~so amazing and impressive service…they even help U send the postcards abroad~~~

Been here 6 years ago, had a very fond memory of this place, and came back to stay in Fuqi Heping again after Covid. The place is small and cozy, the best part of it is the friendly staffs, the last time we were here the boss even bought us 控肉饭 for supper :) feels like home whenever I’m here! Very near to destinations and easily accessible to explore the local streets of Tainan. Definitely recommended if you drop by in Tainan.

If you want to travel to Tainan, don’t miss this place. The boss and staff here are very amiable and everyone welcomes you. The environment inside is comfortable and antique, which is very suitable for taking pictures and resting. The hygiene inside is very good, and sterilized slippers are provided. Even the cups are sterilized. The bed was also very comfortable. The location is also very close to the tourist area, and you can visit many places within walking distance.

Friendly staff helped me out in a pinch- they’re great! Moreover, it was one of the more social and cozy hostels I encountered here. Recommended!

A very cozy and homely place. The staff here is awesome and it feels like one big family. The architecture is also very Tainan style and beautiful. Will definitely visit again when given the chance.

This was overall a great experience! The hostel is so cute and the staff is super sweet! They have all sorts of extra things for meeting each other and hanging out. There’s a cute patio area and a great seating area to hang out with people.

I have stayed in 30+ hostels and this one has to be the cleaness one! Visually pleasing and great employees. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay again. The price is definitely affordable for what you get and all the necessities are there. Great place for new travellers or solo travellers :)

The Fuqi hostel has a very nice atmosphere, host, and location. We felt very welcome and had a great time in Tainan!

Me and my besties had a great time here! Although we stayed here for only two nights it was one of our best hostel experiences until now. We were warmly welcomed with a hostel tour when we arrived and we received a free upgrade to a bigger room! We would definitely visit again.

Everything is far beyond expectations but waking up in the midnight by mosquitoes isn't an enjoyable experience. Need to consider twice if decided to come in summer time bc of their bare effort on preventing bugs from the rooms.

Good and clean, the rooms are small but you probably won't spend much time inside anyways. The hostel has that 'we are all one family' vibe to it, if you like it you will love this place, if you don't you might feel a bit suffocated

Great location to stay, the room was tiny but the big space to hang out and rest in the kitchen area. One things I have problem with is the washroom and shower room. The shower room is tiny and difficult to put up clean cloth without getting wet.

Good hostel for budget and small private room with your friends. Share bath room. Free water wifi and coffee tea. They have relax room in front door. Towel is not free. You can come back anytime, just remember the door lock. The place is not in crowded place.

Beautiful traditional 3-storey old house. Nice common area, fast wifi, a terrace with a view and the super friendly young staff make this hostel a perfect place to stay. Various local food markets and temples around to explore, with the main attraction to be the Shennong street itself.

There's so much to love about this hostel. The hostel staff (孟孟 and Vivian) were so welcoming and loving it was incredible. They were very very helpful with directions and things to do and made my stay in Tainan wonderful - 孟孟 even dropped me off at one of my destinations because she was heading out to run hostel errands. We had a chat and laughed and talked about everything under the sun while I was hiding from the chill. My friend had a surprise for me and they were super cooperative in helping out. Adorable!!! The hostel itself is quaint and has many little surprises that I won't spoil for you. The one thing I dislike is the acoustics in the room! I couldn't get up and do anything without feeling like I was disturbing other backpackers.

I stayed at this hostel two nights. I liked so much. Everything was good and enough. The location is also very central. The bussines was helpful amd friendly. You can stay with peace of mind.

I really enjoyed my stay at Fuqi Hostel! The owner is so welcoming and helped me with all my questions regarding restaurants, places to go and sorted out a bicycle for the day for me. The hostel has a kitchen with everything you need and there's free coffee, tea and drinking water. Beds are comfy enough, there's a huge locker in the dorm and everything is super clean. Would definitely recommend!
