Great view on 38th floor, located right next to Tainan train station, You can see the city from it's center top. One of the most decent Chinese food in Town. With several signature dishes with authentic taste, Ambiance is great, great service and nice food, Quite pricey as well.

I had an amazing experience at the restaurant thanks to Claire Chen's exceptional service! She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I highly recommend dining here and being served by Claire.

My family and I have been visiting Shangrila since over a decade ago. Though there was a slight turbulent period regarding the service quality during the heated pandemic time, they managed to restore both standard and quality with efforts swiftly. Our dining experience at Shanghai Pavilion today had brought us to great satisfaction once again. With the management of deputy manager Lin, I suppose the pavilion will continue to carry out its great quality of services and delicacies.

My husband and I have been coming for a long time. It's a comfortable environment. Even though I have always felt their service had a lot of problems, but the food was always the main reason that kept us returning to this restaurant. But, my experience this time was just disappointing. I ordered spicy hot beef soup, but the dish came out warm . The braised soy pork was just all too much strong and overly sweet sauce, I couldn't taste the pork anymore. None of the plates were pre-warmed and worst of all the teapot had a big chip on the end of the snout. 。。。 But, for the first time since we started coming here, we finally got some fruit after we finished our meals.

Have not been to Shanghai Pavilion for quite sometime. This time, we find the service has improved. Service is good, with Jenny back here. The food variety has also improved. Keep up the good job. Re: Your lobby lounge, I would suggest to do more promotion so that the public are aware of your menu, your opening days and time of opening. Re: Your room reservation, there seems to be a big difference in your room rates with the OTAs and your own web site. I waited for more than 45 minutes for them to call me back. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my opinions. Having been in this industry for over 40 years, there are still room for improvements. Finally, your buffet service has improved. Overlooking the Tainan city, dishes is great, spent around 1000 ntd per person for ordering a combo on the menu. Only the reception area and payment process is bit confusing, overall it’s a great spot hosting guests.

We went there for Chinese New Year dinner. The view is great but the food is pretty average, the service is not great too. Some dishes were served cold too. Considering the amount they charged per head 3k, I would not recommend it.

Ive been here for several times,the food is always good, and the view is fantastic. If you want to try some traditional Chinese food, and have a good look of Tainan, this is your best choice.
