A pleasant experience. We stayed there for a week in the family suite. The facility is operated by friendly and knowledgeable staff and conveniently situated for major transit systems and shops. The room was clean and well equipped for a hostel. Best value so far in past visits to Taipei.

SUNNY HOSTEL β€’ Head's up! Taiwan is a great country or place for vacation. The scenery is amazingly beautiful, from mountains to sea. And oh! If you happen to visit for a vacation whether it be for business or leisure, a highly recommend Sunny Hostel! It's cheap, very clean, has spacious rooms with big beds πŸ› ooooh! I could totally remember their big and soft bed! hehe 😁 yhe staffs are nice too, very approachable amd friendly. The place is very nice, calm, and a place where you can totally relax and charge more energy to be ready to roam around the city. Sunny Hostel is very convenient, it is near in the park, near a subway train station (about 5 mins walk), near 7/11, and the most exciting part is, it's also near a night market (Ximending/ Ximenting - 5 mins walk). Me and my family had a great stay at Sunny Hostel, and will totally stay there again if we haooen to visit Taipei agin soon. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

The room was not clean, there were a lot of humidity and it was impossible for me to sleep here with my allergic. So we had to found a new hotel to sleep because there is no one at the reception to help us. The next morning we send a mail to explain why we leave the keys in the reception, explaining the health issues that makes us leave. But the staff answer that it was not a problem for them and they didn't wanted to give us the money back. Even after asking again for a little gesture, we had face another bad answer, telling us that we never showed at the hotel and that's why they don't want to refund the money. But of course it was not true 🀑. So, don't go to this hotel :)

Very good location. 3min walk to subway station. The hostel is maintained very clean. Need to climb the stairs because the only elevator is very small and extremely slow. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and super clean rooms. They don't provide much for amenities and there are almost no outlets in the room, but other than that, it's an great place to stay if you don't spend a lot of time in your room. The service is also super friendly.

We had just stayed at Sunny Hostel for three nights. I have to say the experience was fantastic for this price point. 高CPε€Ό. The rooms are equipped with v basic facilities but it is clean with big bunk beds that can easily sleep 4-6 people (we got a 6 people room for four of us). Originally I was worried about the mattress quality but they were very okay even for someone with acute back pain. The staff there are super nice and helpful. They helped us to find some good restaurants in Ximen area. The hostel is also conveniently located right beside 228 Memorial Park and Metro. It is just 15 min walk to Ximen and Taiwan Main Station. What more can you ask for?

A good hostel, reception lady is very helpful, 10 stars to her. She made me feel at home. :) Bad point is that the mattress is not firm at all, too much soft. Cleanliness is moderate. Nearby has many coffee shops and interested museum.

I really like the Sunny Hostel. It is clean and the people who work there are nice and very helpful. The kitchen area is clean and there is laundry, which is 50NT to wash and 50NT to dry. There is a nice breakfast place on the corner. I give it 4 stars because our room smelled and the air circulation was poor. We visited at the end of January.

Staffs are helpful. They will help with your luggage lifting from level 1 to 2 or to your room (only available during their working hours). So, be mentally prepared to do your own lifting if you arrive/depart at other hours. See photos~ Nearby has Yonghe (breakfast only 2min walk). Another Yonghe at ximending (better and longer operating hours - day & night). Hostel considerably quiet, which is good. However, may need more soundproof as you can hear people talking or kids/students running down the stairs. Also, hostel can consider having the lift operating at level 1 instead of level 2. Other experiences see below.😊

Stayed for 4 nights. Great staff. Very helpful and communicates well in english. They readily provide maps, directions and tour info. Beds are comfortable and cleanliness is well maintained. You have to take off your shoes, keep them in a shoe shelf, and wear slippers before going upstairs. Elevator is available but is very small and slow since it was meant for the elderly. Umbrellas can be borrowed for free. Hostel is also very accessible to the bus and MRT.

It's not a luxury hotel, so don't expect luxury. The rooms are pretty small, the elevator starts only on the 2nd floor. But the staffs are very helpful, they offer free coffee, tea and some snacks. You can also cook in the common area. They also have washer and dryer for laundry for 50 Taiwanese dollars per load. The location is near everything - train/bus stations, night market, temple, convenient stores, restaurants, museums, parks... name it. Highly recommended for backpackers.

PROS - The staffs were very friendly and helpful :) - Good coffee & location - Room was clean - This is literally THE CHEAPEST private room you can get in the city! - Nice patio area but there are cars passing by constantly - Provides 2 bottles of water everyday, shampoo and body wash in the shower CONS - Loud music and drunk people from 11pm to 3~4am or even later. There is a bar behind the hostel so BRING YOUR EAR PLUGS!

Good location. Very good service, all the staff are very friendly and ready to help. I travel alone and it's the first time in Taiwan but i feel really comfortable here. Room are small but it's enough for light travelers(might be too small for travelers with many luggages. Very clean.

We stayed here for 3 days, Sep 10~Sep 12, with 6 family members. Most favorite thing was the whole of staff has so kind and it make us have very comfortable feelings and Very convenient to reach there from main station. Moreover, they offer free using of cooking on the lobby, so we carried some snacks and fruits and have meal on there without any disturbance. My mother-in-law said she would like to ask where they bought blanket for bed, because it made us so warm sleep but I forgot to ask it. Surely I don't feel any hesitation to use Sunny hostel when I will go to the center of Taiwan and also I would like to recommand it to all travellers.
