Song shan culture and creation tobacco factory. This area is peaceful and full of artistic startup and work space to cultivate the mind. The middle of the classic 1900 factory sits a magnificent garden with a fountain. There is a lake side park area perfect for a evening stroll.

A must visit every time I am in Taipei, if anything, to soak in the old world charm of this former tobacco factory. Would highly recommend spending at least half a day there to check out the interesting design shops and exhibitions. Start with a brunch at 光一一时间, a beautiful restaurant that offers great breakfast sets to pick from 😝

Well worth the visit. Unfortunately on a Monday most of the stands were closed but I'm sure on a weekend the handmade local stands must be amazing. Their variety and crafts are well worth it. Also the Architecture and overall re purposing of an old factory is a nice tour.

I love that there are many activities to be explored here. I came during the evening when everything is closing but i saw some booth nearby the park and some art expo/museum thingy there. There is also a shopping center very close to the park which you can visit.

Nothing much to see here. Just building and art exhibitions. If you are into those, then you might like this. Even their buildings are underwhelming. I recommend to skip this attraction.

A brilliant transformation of what used to be a tobacco factory into a cultural park and retaining all the structure of the old factories. It has a premium Eslite Hotel and a little mall with a lot of artisan craft stores within. The tobacco factory too has been transformed into event spaces where numerous events usually takes place concurrently. A great place to spend the afternoon.

In Taipei I like that they are combining new building structures and converted old factory buildings, abandoned villages to new uses. These being centers for the arts and crafts, and design. These buildings are spacious, some have not been completed or occupied. The surrounding gardens are nicely landscaped, laid out with benches and tables. Great places to sit and have lunch which was what I did. I visited the Design museum in one of the buildings. It was small with a nice library. I also like that the museums for the arts and design in Taipei have very cheap entrance fees. It encourages public attendance to these places.

The place is pretty great for arcade fans, it’s chill place, nice arcades games and local vibe. The staff is pretty friendly, easy going and super fast service. Drinks are reasonable.

Great place! I heard it was a cigarette factory before and they now used it as exhibition center. Today was "CREATIVE EXPO TAIWAN" if i'm not mistaken it's open until 1st October. There were also many outdoor stands which make the exhibition much more lively. I love how well kept the buildings are, there's rusticness however well maintained. I would love to have spent more time there, pondering while enjoying the sun at the central garden. Really relaxing.

This place is so cool! What a neat way to repurpose an old factory. Lots of cool shops and artisan clothing/ crafts. Caught a fun weekend market while touring around on my bday ☺️ There’s a lot to explore here.

One of the heritage factories converted into an attraction, as is common around all of Taiwan, where many historical sites are cleverly converted and converted as design and cultural parks, with retail offerings promoting the culture of Taiwan. This cultural park at SongShan was converted from a cigarette factory and plays host to different exhibitions and events each week. Weekends usually see a design and arts themed flea where nano brands hawk their wares. Usually it’s a combination of crystals, tarot readings, petite homemade pastries, fashion jewellery, pets toys, clothing, natural foods and drinks, and so on. It depends on your affinity with the store and their wares to find something that suits your taste. In the cultural park itself there also exists several retail areas, one curating various brands of Taiwan, including leather craft, fruit wines, taichung tea and various forms of art and design. The design store also stocks interesting specialised brands that add a high class design element to everyday products as part of home decor. As is often the case, there is a design premium added to the pricing of most products available here. Still, it’s fun to browse the trends and ideas of emerging brands and who knows, one could find something that really catches your eye too. Personally i just had a can of tea-beer and picked out some postcards from the yuanzhuming products store, and mainly ‘window-shopped’ in my time here, though the fruit wines were interesting too. Would recommend as a place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Amazing space, really gorgeous. Love the creative energy and the graduate exhibitions from the design students. There are also rows of stalls selling handmade jewelry, film cameras and handicraft. Best to come during late afternoon when it is not so warm. You can spend up to 3 hours here just exploring and enjoying the afternoon.

Amazing foods and atmosphere! The name of the restaurant — Wendao— is also very unique, which is interpreted from a Taiwanese phrase👍🏻 The foods here are mostly Taiwanese, and the ingredients that are used to cook the meals are Taiwanese. Yet, they look Western and taste pretty cool! The decoration also makes the restaurant a relaxing place!

First time here, there are a lot of places you can visit while you're here, and next to it you can find yourself a shopping mall. I haven't visited the library yet, and you'll need to purchase a ticket to go inside, I was able to see some parts of the library and it seems really beautiful.

Another creative park near Taipei 101. There are different seasonal exhibitions and various art shops with hand made products. The surrounding area is nice and green, I was there for the exhibition related to modern architecture.

Lovely place for some peace and quiet. Handmade stuff and personalised gift options are a plenty here. Not cheap but if you like something unique, that's a great place. Have courses, events and what not some times so do check out in advance too.

I really enjoyed this place. Had some interesting exhibitions (and some overpriced ones - looking at you Pantone!). Gift shops and craft stalls had some great items. The buildings and grounds were awesome. A very funky place up go to.

It's a old building. It's a old factory. It's a reestablished area and allow the generation to have, and think of, and create new ideas... This is a superb idea. 👍 The important elements are all there. The US department of art, the Italian and the Taiwanese.... As long as you have something in you, you are allowed to come and define yourself... Shout out... Show the people about what you have... The area still keeps the old building and the old building is still good and sturdy. Good place for general public, tourist to visit...

The cultural park is on the site of a former tobacco factory, consists of various design organisations, a design “hub” for local businesses and the design museum. The gardens and the grounds as well as the building itself is interesting enough to visit, plus there are various shops that sell local design products should you crave some retail therapy.

Nice scenery. We took a short nature walk through the park with our Kindergarten students just for some fresh air. It's very close to our school.

Old tobacco factory transformed into a venue for creative events and a space for craft/arty shops. Also on super is a hotel and bookstore with creative products. My only criticism would be that it takes a bit of effort to find out which events were ticketed and how to get tickets. The site itself is a mix of park and historic buildings. The provision of mosquito is a lovely touch. Overall well worth a visit for interesting stores and to see the site.

Take the Banan line and alight at Taipei City Hall Station where you can see the Taipei 101. Eslite Spectrum has a good food court with fabulous braised pork rice and tofu pudding dessert. Repurposed development where entrepreneurial young artists display their creativity.

Came here at night to have a walk round. It was really nice around the lake and the fountain in the middle. There are quite a few shops I would like to explore, so I will definitely be back during the day on my next trip to Taipei!

Cool space with 3D printing spaces, sewing spaces, the Taiwan Design Museum (50 NTD/entry) and retail outlets selling pretty things. There are also exhibitions and workshops that you can participate in. There are 2 cafes in the compound: Cama Roasters and Sui Sui Coffee. Beautiful and relaxing space If a tad pricey 😅

Artsy place with a lot of different shops and attractions. They got a parc nearby. Products are quite expensive but it's a great place to chill/hang around. Toilets are available and the place is busy but not crowded. Guess it's quite cool for younger and more "artsy" people ✌️

Fantastic! Refurbished colonial-era factory buildings with lots of handicraft, design, and arts shops, as well as several beautiful gardens and a number of exhibit galleries. Since its humble and sparsely attended beginnings, this place has really blossomed. A lovely place to spend an afternoon.

Taipei has done a poor job at preserving culturally important places in the past. So this place is one a few places in the city that you feel you are stepping back in time with its historical buildings. To be honest there’s not a lot to see here though. Worth a quick look though if there’s a festival or show going on in one of the buildings.
