This place is full of classic decoration which leads to this impressive dining experience. The restaurant serves not only food but also history. The Docent, Langley who is a great storyteller provided excellent service while we were having the famous dish, Jadeite Cabbage. She outlined the vast background of this dish with her uniqle cute voice. Simple, yet easy to understand. During our meal, she served every customer with professional attitude which unrolls her personality such as carefulness and consideration. However, I don’t know if it’s because of the all-you-can-eat option or what, it was a little bit noisy and the reservation time was not flexible enough. Overall, it was a comfortable and unforgettable dining experience.

Went for the all u can eat dim sum on a Saturday lunch. Great ambience, and service. The roast pork, wine marinated chicken, goose cold dish was pretty good. The Cantonese dim sums were so so. Unfortunately, the cooked dishes, such as steamed fish, spicy beef, sweet and sour thousand year egg , stir fried squid were all below average, not sure they were freshly cooked since they came in small sizes.

Signature dishes ordered with expectations they’d be so delicious and I must say quality matches with expectations. The chinese cabbage with shrimps on top was trying best to recreate the most remarkable treasure here at National Palace museum, however, the seasoning was just plain (maybe as it should be?) other than this dish only, all other dishes we ordered were marvellous! BTW, service is always good just like almost anywhere else in Taiwan. My personal rating for this place is 4.3/5

Dishes looks aesthetic, and staff are pretty quick to serve and respond. The pork is soft and flavourful, and the mango milk pudding was nice. The cabbage dish was aesthetic, but the taste wasn't as exceptional. It is less suited for solo travellers as many dishes are meant for sharing.

Echoing the National Palace Museum, Silk Palace has a interior of Chinese dynastic age palace with antique and paintings in the hallways. Spacious restaurant with easy dining atmosphere. Very popular among tourists and museum visitors alike and queuing is a common scene. The menu took inspiration from several world renowned art pieces displayed in the museum and derived a series of Chinese delicacies resembling mostly Hangzhou, Zejiang and Shanghai cuisines. The beef noodle is a must try.

Very bad service but have good food. Our server Kitty speaks too lightly that we couldn’t hear anything. She wouldn’t speak up though we just couldn’t hear any explanation of dishes with the loud environment. One of the savoury dish was served 30 mins after all the other plates were served. They kept on asking if we want the desserts to be served before that dish was served. Seemed like they were rushing us out of the restaurant. At the end the dessert was still served before the pate savoury dish because they asked too many times. Horrible attitude and experience at the end. It’s a shame that the food is pretty good.

This is the review of the all you can dinner. There are two options Cantonese dimsum and a regular Chinese hot dishes which are on both sides of a single laminated menu. You are supposed to mark what you want on a order pad in Chinese. So don't let the host take away your menu unless you can remember your dish name in Chinese. The portion were small but it gave us more opportunity to try out more. And if you really liked a dish you can order it again. There was a time limit of 90 minutes which was more than enough. Food was good and the price was worth it too sample such variety in one sitting.

These designed cuisines, tasty tea, warm service, and gorgeous environment were perfectly combined by Silks Palace. After the meal, it was easy to take a walk around National palace museum. Thus, We had a great celebration for Mother’s Day and should be willing to re-visit in short times.

IG: foodie_foxx As a self-proclaimed food aficionado, I have had the opportunity to indulge in countless meals at some of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels around the world. And while it is not uncommon for high-end hotels to fall short in the culinary department, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Silks Palace, located within the grand National Palace Museum, offers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step into Silks Palace, you are greeted with an array of Italian-style breads, cheeses, butter, and other delectable condiments that are sure to tantalize the taste buds. The offerings continue with a diverse selection of fresh seafood salads, expertly prepared meats, and classic pasta dishes that are sure to delight even the most discerning of palates. But what truly sets Silks Palace apart is their exceptional steak, which ranges in price from 1600-4000 NTD. The meat is undeniably fresh and cooked to absolute perfection, with each bite revealing an exquisite delicacy that will linger on your tongue long after the meal has ended. And let's not forget about dessert, where Silks Palace truly shines. The Hagen-Dazs station features an impressive twelve varieties of ice cream, each one more delicious than the last. From rich chocolate and velvety vanilla, to tangy fruit sorbets and indulgent caramel swirls, there is something for every sweet tooth at Silks Palace. Despite the high-end setting and the impressive selection of dishes, Silks Palace remains an approachable dining experience that caters to a wide range of palates. And while the steak is undoubtedly a standout, the buffet as a whole offers an unparalleled culinary experience that will leave you eager to return for more. In short, Silks Palace is a true gem among high-end hotel dining options. From the expertly prepared dishes to the decadent desserts, every aspect of the meal is crafted with care and precision. So if you're in search of a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further than Silks Palace. Bon appetite fellows Peace ✌️

(Translated by Google) #拔根生活 #root out of the box Meals★★★☆☆ The way of dining is to order all-you-can-eat meals. The meal is actually 90 minutes. The food is delivered very fast and there is no need to wait, but perhaps because of such fast ready-to-serve food, the food is very ordinary, and the food is not delicious, and there is no highlight There is no one dish that makes me want to give special praise. It is a pity that the signature dishes of the Palace Palace Jinghua are presented in a "rough and full" way. You can also choose not to have an all-you-can-eat meal, and dine a la carte. The price is similar, but the meal must be more refined and attentive. Environment★★★★☆ The location is next to the Palace Museum. It is suitable for a meal after visiting the Forbidden City. After all, it is a five-star hotel group. The quality of service and dining environment have their own standards. There are parking spaces for driving. Price★★★☆☆ This time, I bought a meal voucher for two persons at momo for 1509 yuan (988+10% on site). The average meal per person is 750 (including 10% service charge). It is not expensive for a 5-star restaurant buffet, and less dishes are not a problem each time. , It’s good to order a few more times, and there is a suspicion that you can’t finish eating a large portion. But if you look at the dishes, it really doesn't work. Many dishes are not cooked right after you eat them, especially if the fried food is too dry. I don't know how long it has been under the heating lamp.

Amazing Chinese historic themed restaurant. Delight local food, banquet tables, and even wedding hall available in this building complex. The hardware and deco are beautiful, many inspired from actual national treasures in the museum. The private dining rooms are well designed and furnished. Friendly staffs, excellent food. Worth for a tourist try out.

(Translated by Google) advantage: -The serving speed is well controlled, and the tabletop can almost maintain 2-3 dishes -The speed of collecting plates is very fast. Although the tabletop is small, it will not feel crowded -The fried food is good, the skin is crispy and does not contain too much oil -The portion of the dish is not large: if there are only two people eating, the portion is very suitable. Disadvantages: The ingredients are ordinary and the taste is slightly plain, but if you look at the requirements for the airport restaurant, although it is not delicious, it is not unpalatable. In the case of not many choices around, it is OK~~ (Original)

My friend in Taipei invited us to Silks Palace for lunch. We truly like this restaurant, good atmosphere, comfortable seatings and really authentic Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisines. I particularly like their 紅燒牛肉麵 (Spicy Taiwanese Beef Noodle), 伊麵 (Cantonese flat noodle), their dessert and dim sum are also very tasty. A nice place to dine after visiting the 故宮博物院 (National Palace museum). I would definitely revisit this restaurant the next time I visit Taipei.

I have prepared to not have such high hopes on food tastes and only good presentation. In short, only the look of food and atmosphere meets expectation. Portion is smaller than the average 便當. We had the signature meat and vege, presentation is good enough, taste is very average. Dimsum just ok, nothing wow for a place as such. Service: not to point at anyone, but I believe training is required for the waitresses, or a refresher perhaps? It's very very let down on service, my hand was knocked 3 times by the waitress(there was and empty space next to me though). Also while taking photo of the expensive piece of pork, the waitress standing beside asking "are you done with photo? Are you done?", as if she can't wait to serve. Another waitress was talking so blur and quick we weren't sure if she was asking or telling something. I'm sorry to say I was a little unhappy after visiting.

Dimsum was not good as it look, the beef noodle was good but not worth for the price. If you are not chinese speking they have an english menu but you still have to order in chinese by your own, staffs can speak little english.

(Translated by Google) The most important thing in the service industry is service. Waiter: The yoga service is thoughtful. When introducing meals, I think about which set of meals to use from the perspective of the guests. They visit the table and organize the table from time to time. The meals are generally above the standard. The a la carte dishes are cooked by the chef. Whether you meet yoga at the Jinghua Hotel or the Forbidden City Jinghua, the waiter is really satisfied! (Translated by Google) I personally think that the quality of the meal is generally ordinary, there is no particularly thunderous item, and there is no particularly delicious item, there is no characteristic and bright spot. It is a convenient dining option for those who come to the Forbidden City to watch exhibitions or walk nearby, but they don’t need to drive over to taste it. ★★★Environment★★Service★★★Meals advantage: [Serving speed] Properly controlled, always maintain the state of food on the table [Cleaning] Although the location is not large, the cleaning speed is fast [Frying skills] The fried food is not greasy [Serving size] very small, relatively suitable for small bird stomachs and guests who have a small meal [Meal period] There is only one at noon. You will not rush people after eating, you can chat slowly Disadvantages: [Tea] The aroma is so light that even people who drink less tea think it is as light as water [Ingredients] Ordinary, no shrimp can be seen in the shrimp cakes, the fillings of the shaomai dumplings are almost the same, the meat and fish have no taste, and the noodles give a large pile of appearance and it is terrible... [Taste] Plain, the ingredients have no savory taste, the seasoning is very light, and more than half of the dishes taste no flavor [Waiter] Training needs to be strengthened. There is hair in the soup. The spoon in the recycling area next to the seat fell to the foot and broke. The waiter just said sorry over the wall, but did not come to apologize and did not pick up the spoon (until we After the meal, the broken spoon is always at my feet...) Note: The order is only 90 minutes, after more than 1 hour after the meal, the service staff will remind you to add the last time. Since the first visit did not make a good time, there are many meals that I did not have the chance to eat.

We brought our parents over for a special event but were disappointed. Dishes were served in an untimely manner. With the limited buffet hours, we did not get to eat all the food we wanted. Service wasn’t consistent. Some servers were nice while some weren’t. The ‘feast’ we expected did not match the price at all. Will not return again.

This place is only popular because of the location (next to museum) and attracts all of the tourists (including us). The food here is a hit or miss. We ordered three dishes: the ginkgo nuts and mushroom, Cantonese seafood stir fry noodles, and beef noodle soup. Let's start with the good. The stir fry noodles was great. It was more like drunken noodles where the noodles are chewy and bathed in a thick syrup that moistens it. The other two dishes were bad. The mushroom dish was bland. The beef in the soup was suppose to have come from America but it was so chewy that I feel sorry for people who thinks this is what American beef tastes like. Overall, none of the dishes were authentic but the place was fancy and it didn't make me regret coming. I wouldn't mind coming again, but I'd go somewhere else if I knew a decent place nearby.

more like 4.5 stars. there aren't many dim sum buffets in town - 3 main ones i know of - silks palace, Daba Chiu Fong and Chao ping ji. of these, sills palace is probably the best, though I'd rate all in the 4 to 4.5 star range.

When you first walk in it seems like a huge tourist trap because it's right next to the National Palace Museum. We only came here for the beef noodle soup but ordered a couple of other items off the dim sum menu including a sweet potato dish and shrimp dumpling, both of which were just ok. The spicy beef noodle soup was our favorite. The noodles we're nice and thick, broth was spicy. We only regret not getting the full portion of spicy beef noodle soup but we wanted to try both.
