This place is very cool. The theater is very grand, with seating on 4 different floors. Both the theater and the stairways and hallways inside the building around the theater itself are decorated beautifully. The theater staff are very helpful and friendly. There's a huge underground parking lot under the adjacent Liberty Square, so parking is simple and convenient if you're driving there (It's also next to an MRT station, if I recall correctly). Both the parking lot and the theater are wheelchair accessible. If you haven't been here to see a performance, I'd definitely recommend it.

Nice venue but not sure if the performers were bad or the acoustics were bad as I couldn't understand a single thing they were saying.

Amazing National theatre gathering modernity and Chinese culture all in one. I love it. There are many young people and not that younger performing in the surroundings; training or just having fun. Full of artist spirit!

The National Theater and National Concert Hall of Taiwan. Very beautiful twin buildings, though modern in function and purpose, stylistically mirror the traditional elements of Chinese palace architecture.

Great theater with good seating. There adequate leg room, which is big deal for tall guys like me. The surrounding area has plenty of coffee and good to snack on during intermission. If you're headed there for a show, I recommend Hangzhou soup dumplings 杭州小龍湯包 nearby beforehand. You won't regret it!

Went to watch a Cloud Gate performance today. It was our first time at National Theater, and we were pleasantly impressed with the venue. Entering the theater was quick and easy. The seatings were spacious and plenty of leg room, even for someone taller. We don't understand the small wall between the 2nd and 3rd row, but overall it was a good experience.

Best to see performances. I was told it was based on the Lincoln square layout. Groups get together to rehearse around the building which is also fun!

Stunningly illuminated at night. Was walking to our dinner place from the MRT and saw this beautiful sight. Looks absolutely beautiful and different during the day.

Excellent place, especially at level 1 where there is a resting area for the elderly and clean toilet facilities. To top it off, every hour you get the national guards perform in the Changing of Guard ceremony.

A very grand performing arts theatre & concert hall with fantastic acoustic! Overall experience was great and enjoyed the performances very much. The entire building is well-planned, clean, cozy, and grand. There is also a souvenir shop that sells beautiful keychains and products related to music. It was an unforgettable experience! After the concert ended, we get to queue and take photographs with the performers!

The best play to enjoy a play in Taiwan. The facility was very good and well-maintained. The seating arrangement was also nice. You can expect a high quality environment and experience of watching a show or play.

Relatively small and old building for live performances, but still a beautiful architecture where people take lots of photos when visiting Taipei. I watched a ballet by about 50 Russian dancers. No photography allowed during shows.

Very nice photo opportunities. There are numerous groups practicing dance movements because of the glasses that act like mirrors on the building. Interesting place to visit and people watch. Not a lot seating area. There is a huge open area in the middle.

Free for all foreigners. You can register with your passport and have a look. However, you are not allowed to take pictures within the auditorium. You can walk around but there are nothing much to see unless there is a play/musical.

🫤 I have heard good and bad things about the IMCCI program. I talked to former students and I believe them when they say that they were often bullied by the professors and that the courses lacked quality. I also think that good professors and good educational programs do exist in Taiwan, I am sorry fo...
