One of the last remaining decent bookstores in Taipei after Eslite recently shut its doors.

My husband and I were looking for some educational books for our 5 year old daughter and found the Kinokuniya Taipei at the Breeze Centre brilliant ! It had everything clearly laid out by language, with a whole Japanese section for Travel in Taiwan, culinary delights, health and wellness, as well as other educational books and magazines. For us, we were able to source some useful bilingual resources for our daughter's learning of the English alphabet, numbers and simple calculations, as well as puzzles, story books and other toys to develop her motor skills etc No matter whether you're looking for an educational resource for children or adults, this should definitely be on your list to visit ! It is the best Kinokuniya outlet we have ever been to !! We will definitely be back again 😊👍👏

A well known Japanese bookstore in Taipei. Located within an upscale mall. Directions to this place is pretty straightforward on the road but once inside the mall unless you'll well versed in the Chinese language, you'd have to ask. You'd have to enter a clothing store to get to the bookstore. They have limited English books here but being here just to visit is being in a temple. The staff here are very helpful on my queries. #RP

A book lover’s heaven on earth! I’ve been coming here the past three, four years, and recently, they’ve rearranged the genres so that there are a lot more books in social and cultural issues! Good thinking! I also love the health and wellness sections! So many books on practical self care tips. Though I’m not a fan of how they’ve added tables right in front of the escalators to display merchandises, but I suppose that’s how bookstores survive. They need to sell more of these giftable items to create higher margins as books don’t offer any. Anyhow, love Kinokuniya for the book selections and expanded genres. They also have a not so small section on Japanese books. I’m a fervent fan ❤️

I did not understand their way of organizing books and asked staff to find books for me. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

I was surprised to be able to find my favorite JP manga here, even though there was only one volume. The staff were courteous and friendly. There is a great selection of books here.

A bookstore located in the center area of Taipei city where it is not that far from MRT station ChungHsiao FuXing. It is located at 5th floor inside Breeze Center department store. Its outstanding strong point is that it has many Japanese books and magazines of various genres and categories so you don't need to check many other bookstores if you are looking for Japanese language books/magazine. It also sells some cultural, traditional, or artistic stuff which you could buy it as perfect souvenir of visiting Taiwan when you don't have time to visit local attraction such as Di-Hua Street area. It also has a dessert cafe so that you could relax a bit when getting tired after standing reading books for a long time. It may need to participate into their membership program if you like to get discount for book. By the way, it is located just 2 floors below a cinema so you could spend waiting time reading books.

Kinokuniya is a global Japanese Book Store that offers a lovely selection of gift items all made in Japan in addition to books and magazines. They curate selections based on location which makes sense. The Taipei branch located in Breeze Center has a very wide selection of Japanese and Chinese books and magazines but very little English publications.

Beautiful store with a huge selection of books in Chinese and Japanese, as well as some stationery, cute decor items, and a café. Pretty decent selection of English-language books for children, but the selection of English-language books for adults is very small and not very diverse or interesting (seemed like to the top 50 titles from a small airport bookstore - blockbuster fiction, celebrity bios, business and self-help, that sort of thing). Lots of manga in Japanese.

Most books are wrapped in plastic wrapper, and staff won't allow you to see inside the books. Seriously? Is this really a bookshop?

Kinokuniya is a great place for coffee to catch up with friends, or even a business meeting. You can have a light lunch there and it is quiet and inviting for discussions. The coffee and food is excellent. It is also a great bookstore with lots of variety, and also gifts and accessories.

👍👍 I was told about this place by my aunt from an article she read. I decided to head there during my vacation. I loved it. It was dim inside and even though I was by myself, I felt comfortable. Most of the time when I go places by myself, I feel awkward and that people are watching me. Not here. I fel...
