Need a drink after checking into the hotel in Taipei. Hotel doesn’t have a bar 😐….Went down a narrow alley in search of a bar near the hotel. Looked and looked, finally decided that maybe the screen door may not be the entrance to someone’s house. So I got my nerve up, opened the door and voila! There was Bar Thy! Hidden little nugget with good liquor and enough seating for a dozen or so people!!

What a fabulous cocktail bar! I’ve been to top places in cities around the world and I would rank Bar Thy with the best of them. The owner is incredibly creative. Suggest a flavor or other presence and he’ll make you a cocktail to fit your mood. We had 10 cocktails among our group and every one was a winner. I’d put this experience in my top 5 worldwide (across 46 countries)!

An incredible experience in Taiwan. The place, which is on the second floor of a building, is very nice with couches and a projector and the bar area is comfortable and looks like a Manhattan speakesy cocktail bar. The owner/bartender has an incredible amount of rare bottles and ingredients that he uses to craft amazing drinks tailored to your taste. If you don't have a clear idea of what you want to order he starts by asking you some questions to understand your taste and mood and always delivers a great cocktail at the end, trust me I tried several times. It's always hard to describe a vibe but we felt like we had been going to that bar since the opening. The owner speaks perfect english and we were also able to get to know the other, also extremely nice, customers at the bar and interacted in fun conversations with everyone. Last but not least they had several rounds of free freshly made food that was plenty enough to be considered a dinner. A must must must go place for anyone in taiwan who's looking for a not pretentious modern style, speakeasy cocktail bar that makes you feel at home, were you can have world class cocktails and meet cool people! Lovely cocktail bar with very friendly staff, speak great English and will help you get any cocktail you want, I had g&t with Chinese Gin, would recommend very chilled welcoming and friendly atmosphere

This hidden gem of a bar offers a cozy environment with great music that enhances the atmosphere without being too loud. The bartending staff is friendly, proficient, and accommodating. They serve well-crafted traditional cocktails and tasty signature creations, and are happy to cater drinks to individual preferences. Watching the bartenders create drinks was entertaining and enthralling. Overall, it's a place of good times, lots of fun, and a memorable experience. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Taipei.

It’s a place with awesome vibes, the owner harry is one of a kind, he is chatty, witty, fun to talk with.huan huan, he is cool, edgy n friendly to communicate with. 恩恩 is very pretty and sweet she tends to my needs with a lot of passion. The big window in front of bar is a plus, it has an incredible view of xi men ding. U HAVE TO COME VISIT !

You find this bar in the first floor, take the stairs on the left of the building. Really well decorated. You can choose to sit at the Bar or in a more quiet area with rolling waves beamed on the wall. There is no menu, you just tell the flavor you prefer and you will be surprised. Definitely a place to go!

Delicious cocktails with a beautiful ambience. An amazing view over the historic old part of Taiwan from large wooden windows. Harry the founder is a kind bartender and seems to know a large number of cocktails.

Great speakeasy tucked in an alley off Hengyang Lu. Bartenders immediately got a feel for my preferences when I sat down, and crafted a beverage based on my tastes. It was great. From the outside it looks closed, don't let that fool you, come on in. Will be back.

An amazing and cosy bar. The staff is absolutely friendly and amazing. I love bars with original drinks, and Bar THY does not disappoint. Their espresso martini is f****** serious. Created by the owner and is the signature drink of the bar. If you're ever in Taipei give this place a visit!

Fantastic bar. We were three and each got several kinds of drinks. The experience was amazing, harry was so friendly! We described what we wished for in terms of flavor. We were all taken on a flavor journey. We could have spent the whole night there until the sunset came up.

Environment was quite well designed, side dishes were yum, cocktails were okay, yet the background music was a bit too loud.
