Kurasu Ebisugawa

Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 Modern and aesthetically pleasing cafe that you'd want to spend hours in. Coffee's pretty good too though a little citrusy for my liking. Couches and sitting areas here are beautiful and I can literally read here all day. People often mention coffee, Kyoto, shop, good, latte, friendly, pour, visit, great, nice,

A true coffee-nerd paradise. The pour over is meticulously crafted and delicate. You can taste the nuance. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and relaxed. They also sell small bakery items, beans, coffee making equipment. The day I walked in they were playing FKJ and Jordan Rakei on the sound system. I’m a huge fan of both. Truly serendipitous experience and I will surely visit again.

Great coffee shop in Kyoto! I think it is one of the best ones even! Great, chill atmosphere, very nice people and great coffees and matcha drinks! In love with this coffee shop, you should visit them to refuel your energy while discovering beautiful Kyoto!

Tried the Ebisugawa Aeropress latte, their idea is to do a latte well even without a big espresso machine. A place to get good coffee when you are in Kyoto. They have a stand coffee shop near Kyoto station.

The Ebisugawa branch of the delightful Kurasu brand. I was a regular in Singapore, and glad to have stumbled across this branch. Chill and warm vibes. Simple pastel woods, fabric and metal decorating the establishment. Lovely staff. Had the Cascara tea, which was unique, tender and delicious.

I order hot latte with oat milk, it was so good. The staffs were so cute and friendly and atmosphere was so chill, nice decorated. There are many seats — sofa, counter bar.

As far as I know an tell, this coffee shop does not offer any food but does offer a selection of different coffees and matcha lattes as well as coffee-related hardware. I tried the single-origin aero press latte and loved it. The searing is somewhat limited but comfy. If you’re ever around this part of Kyoto and feel like grabbing a coffee and resting your legs, this is a great option. There are also many craft stores nearby to enjoy.

If you love pour over coffee and relaxed friendly atmosphere this is the coffee shop for you. I go here multiple times, and leave happy everytime. It is also a good place to bring a friend who is not as much into coffee, because the mandarin juice and deserts are great too! Staff is friendly and can communicate well in English - if you are curious about the coffee scene in Kyoto this is the place for you. Maybe not the most comfortable place to bring energetic kids since its quite small but they are still very friendly to kids! While you are in the area I recommend doing some vintage tableware and furniture shopping in the small shop near Kurasu.

Very nice coffee with friendly staffs. Cozy place too! Some locals also drop buy to get coffee from here so it shows how good this is. One negative side is they have small space, so you cant sit down to chill.

One of the best coffee shops in Kyoto. They offer specialty coffee roasted locally by themselves, hence single origin pour over is very recommended. They also sell huge variety of brewing equipment, coffee enthusiasts must visit!

Lovely shop, lovely staff. This shop’s concept is home brewing where they use home brew methods to make the drinks. Highly recommend!

A great little cafe shop not far from the Kyoto garden. The interior is very warm with a lot of retail of coffee tools like cups, pots and filter. They also sell their own roasted coffee. Their coffee is of course delicious as well as try their tea lattes. The staff is very warm and friendly. They have a lot of branch now and they also provide coffee beans to other shops in Kyoto as well.

Very beautifully designed Café. This place has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. But most importantly the staff is very kind and the coffee is extraordinarily delicious. The Banana Muffin tasted like Christmas and was very good as well. Can highly recommend to visit Kurasu Ebisugawa whenever you visit Kyoto!

Very chill coffee shop that serves good coffee and has an assortment of coffee brewing tools for sale. The matcha latte is a must to try and another unique drink from the menu is the Cascara Tea if you're feeling adventurous and have never tried it before. The staffs there are very friendly and easy to talk to. Definitely worth the travel and walk to this quiet part of the neighbourhood. They have other branches as well, like the one near Kyoto station, but it was closed for Christmas so we decided to come to this one.

A coffee shop whose reputation precedes itself, stopping here is a must The coffee is simply divine, as the flavors of the one I got (Honduras single origin) is complex and something that I rarely taste elsewhere. I finished my cup without realizing the time They have merch available, enough to satisfy a fan who made a pilgrimage to kyoto

Really great staff, good English skills, perfect consultation and delicious specialty coffee. They even gave me recommendations for our Kyoto trip after I asked. You love to spend money at a shop that has the money in the right place.

Nice little coffee shop in the quiet neighbourhood. I ordered their green tea latte and found it slightly sweeter than expected, but I guess that’s the nature of Japanese latte? Probably to do with their milk.

Great place for getting some coffee when traveling. They serve specialty single origin coffee. I had some tasty Columbia pink bourbon today and was quite amazed by the balanced extraction. Great sweetness and delicate acidity. Can't ask for more during travel. They use ek43 for their single origin pour over and v60 (01 size) for pour over. They do put in efforts to do the pour over unlike many busy shops who simply don't have enough time or training. Overall I like the place a lot. If you are nearby in Kyoto and want some specialty coffee, this is a great place to visit.

Were in desperate need of good coffee when we came here. By the smell we could tell the coffee would be good. We had hojicha latte and iced americano. Coffee was delicious and hojicha latte was good too!

This was a very good experience. I totally enjoyed the comfortable Sofa and the well designed and selected coffee equipment. We also bought beans which were super tasty. If you like specialty coffee you're in for a treat. The barista talks english very well so that's no problem either. Also they are super nice and you feel the positive energy.

Single origin coffee is served at this place. Friendly owner which is also a fan of Ghibli. Had a lovely experience and bought back some coffee beans. The Yunnan coffee beans sold at this place has such an amazing aroma.

Great coffee. The latte option is good but not a strong taste because of the light roast (and it’s made using aeropress instead of an espresso machine). Perfect if you like your coffee black though.

Coffee was excellent. A little pricey than typical but those who know and enjoy coffee understand the associated cost. I had a matcha latte paired with Brazil single origin. They both were top notch, from prepping to execution.

A nice modern coffee shop with soft music and seating inside. I ordered a matcha latte. it's a very good drink: creamy and sweet. For my taste I kind of wish it was less sweet. Got very thirsty afterwards. They have very friendly staffs. Inside the store there are mugs and coffee cups that you can shop around. The bathroom is available in the store.

Had this spot bookmarked for a year now and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for extremely affordable and quality pour over coffee in Kyoto, Kurasu is a must! Extremely friendly staff, English is 🤌🏻👌🏻, great vibes in the space, and plenty of seating if you wanna sit for a while with your drink and a snack. Will definitely be back again next trip.

Visiting Kyoto we were looking for a solid coffee to take a break. The Karusu in Ebisugawa did not disappoint. If you are a coffee aficionado, the variety of brewing techniques on sale is impressive. Guided by a principle that every thing served at the cafe can be made at home using the same equipment. Worth a visit just to understand the range of home equipment available.

😐 Couldn’t find much about this place in English on the Internet. I came here to do some work. It is quiet, a good and affordable place to rest over night, with shower amenities/ hair dryer etc. Bathrooms are clean. Good wifi speed. Close to station.
