This was a very nice hotel in a good location. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and friendly. This was by far the very best hotel breakfast buffet I ever had with a very diverse variety of food choices. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Entertainment in the bar lounge was very classy and a nice addition to the hotel experience. The cab ride from the airport was $70. There are bus options that are much cheaper, and i wish i knew about them before I arrived. I would contact the hotel to ask about bus transportation if that is what you would like. Once you arrive, the concierge can help you book the bus back to the airport.

I have stayed at Hilton Tokyo three times now. This is a great hotel for couples, for business and for adult groups. I will happily stay here again. I stayed in the executive rooms or the standard room - all have been good. There were may good options for breakfast, the room and common areas were spotless and the staff were super friendly.

Basic rooms, worn amenities, old TV, average toiletries, monotone breakfast (same every day, very little Japanese options), but still high prices as usual with Hilton. Personnel is nice, but not very efficient in the breakfast area (e.g. asking you which drink you want and bringing it 20 min later or after you finished breakfast, or insisting to seat everyone although that only made the queue longer). Generally, a very American setup where I would have expected a strong Japanese infusion). At least the tipping culture was Japanese (no tipping expected). After 10 years of using them, I can really see that American hotel chains such as Hilton and Marriott have lost their glory and are not eager to recapture it.

I liked my room and I liked staying in the most central part of Tokyo - even though we did not get the traditional diamond member upgrade. However, I was here on vacation while my husband was working - each time he was attending breakfast before work, he was getting the best seats. Each time I would attend breakfast or the executive lounge, the staff (especially women!!!) would try to give me the cat seats. Living in Germany, I absolutely hate it when 5-stars hotels expect people to have money and be valued guests only if they are carrying Gucci to breakfast and dress in evening gowns for executive lounge. High-quality jeans and a pullover in winter should be sufficient for having a breakfast as a European Hilton diamond member. Moreover, there was no "we will be glad to see you again" or anything similar, no carrying my bags 15 meters to the airport bus - nothing. So, I had a feeling that my husband and me were treated differently (!). We will not stay here next time.

Stayed twice at this hotel. Location is excellent for access to Shinjuku and many tourist sites. Facility is updated, though some parts do seem somewhat aged. Service is top notch. As diamond members, we receive very attentive service. The breakfast and executive lounge offerings are excellent. Overall, I would come back again.

This was once a better hotel but their housekeeping department has been slipping. I’ve seen hair strands left on newly-made beds and in bathroom floors. Otherwise, the location is great, front desk and concierge staff are helpful and personable, breakfast crew is very friendly, attentive, and efficient. I like this hotel. But housekeeping needs to pay attention to details or else they’re going to bring every other department down with them.

Outstanding hotel. The staff are friendly and professional, and all staff we spoke to spoke English, and were able to address our needs including luggage forwarding to out next hotel in Kyoto. The room itself was great. Clean, modern and comfortable. The location is excellent as well, you are right on top of a metro station, and there are always cabs out front if you prefer to take a taxi. The major attractions of Shinjuku are only a short walk away as well. We also took advantage of the breakfast buffet which was outstanding. Really good food. If you are looking to stay in Shinjuku, look no further than the Hilton! We will most definitely stay here again when we return for our next Japan trip.

Overall a great experience. Fantastic location slightly removed from the Chaos of the main area of Shinjuku. Plenty of nearby dining and drinking however. Easy connections to the subway and the shuttle bus is great. I'll likely return next time I visit Tokyo.

  • 5/5 K G. 1 year ago on Google
The staff are very friendly. We were upgraded for free, the hotel was not completely full when we went. Breakfast selection is large, there are local flavors plus some western dishes. I personally loved the Japanese dishes for breakfast. Also there is a shuttle bus that takes you right downtown in case you don’t want to take the subway.

Spent three nights here. Wonderful staff. They were very helpful with all of our requests. Nice breakfast buffet. Large club lounge that was often busy, but had great views, good food and nice service. Something to note: pool required calling front desk to make appointment.

The Hilton Tokyo boasts a convenient location near several train stops, and offers a complimentary shuttle service to a major subway station. Additionally, the hotel provides Airport Limousine buses, ensuring a comfortable and affordable journey to any airport. Conveniently, we discovered a sundry store right beneath the hotel, along with other useful amenities like a barber shop for close shaves and haircuts. The restaurants and lounge on the 37th floor were a delightful treat, offering stunning views. While the layout during meal times could become a bit crowded, the overall experience of an open bar and snacks was a fantastic addition to our trip.

Decent rooms, great service, super quiet - gym and pool not much to write home about. There's nothing wrong, as such, about the Hilton Tokyo. Far from it, really. The room (king size) was fine, and the service was excellent. Best quality for me, personally, was that it was by far the quietest room I've stayed in while in Japan. However, for a 4.5 star hotel, it doesn't really do anything particularly extraordinary. Then there's the workout areas, which are not great. Good enough treadmills but everything else is a bit meh. That goes double for the pool which is only 10 meters long. You can basically use it to practice turns and not much else if you're looking for a real swim. All in all - definitely not a bad experience, but one that lacked that little bit extra you would think that a 4.5 star hotel would offer.

I had a good experience at the Hilton Tokyo, when we checked in there was a bit of a misunderstanding with the rooms so we waited for the next morning to sort it out as it was late, in the morning they suggested a different room to us but the original one was better, the room was very nice, the view was amazing. The breakfast was extensive and delicious (buffet). The service was good as the problem was fixed. The executive lounge was very nice and it had an amazing view and you could see mount Fuji on a clear day. The executive lounge also had a good food selection. The staff also gave us a gift as a sorry for the problem. All and all we had an amazing stay and just lost that one star for the room issue.

We were provided a twin room instead of a king as a couple for our first night due to availability which was a shame. Room was located right under the lounge so heard constant work noise from 05:00-11:30 am and then from 16:00 - 22:30. We could not sleep too well for this night. The pillows were rather uncomfortable, you can request others by calling the front desk and housekeeping, great selection available (note pillow menu is not in the room). The pillows we received after were great (opt for the feather pillow!) The second night we were moved to a king bed in a fabulous room. Executive lounge is okay. There isn’t a great deal of structure in place, so at precisely 17:30 a swathe of guests rush to fill their plates with no regard for manners or other patrons. People constantly pushing each other and getting angry, and staff did not care to fix this mess. This was disappointing but the selection was generally okay with a changing variety and some delicious desserts made in house. They always allowed the same guests to sit in the same spots when turning up before the cocktail hour preventing anyone else at all from having a nice view. At one point, a gentleman had set up his entire workstation in the corner with a beautiful sunset view, on a four seater table (that is supposedly reserved for groups of three or more). Unbelievably selfish. He was there for 7 days in a row. I found this a bit disappointing I would stay again but suggest not to book a room on Level 36! The staff were extremely courteous and always quick to assist!

The hotel is located in a great area. The rooms were spotless and offered spectacular views of the city skyline. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially Shin at the front desk, who went above and beyond to meet our requests.

Phenomenal customer service upon check in. We couldn’t be upgraded with our diamond status, however, the front desk had a bottle of wine sent up as an apology. The breakfast buffet is one of the best. The hotel seems clean and modern. The rooms seem very clean and nice.

We stayed in the Hilton Tokyo, in a room with executive access. The room was on the highest floor, level 38, and it had a great view of Tokyo. We had the option to have breakfast downstairs or in the executive lounge. We chose to have breakfast downstairs because there was more variety, even though it was slightly more busy. The service in the lounge was very good and very professional. One slight criticism: the gym had three different sections, which was a little bit confusing. In my opinion, there was not enough equipment, but it was sufficient for someone staying for five nights. Highly recommend staying there. Good location and shuttle bus to the main train line.

Great Hotel for first time visitors to Tokyo!!! Great Location! In between 2 subway stations you can walk to underground. Walking Distance to heart of Shinjuku. The Junior Suite is very nice and spacious! Restaurants are great! Guest Services are top notch! Plenty of English speakers. Yui Akasaka the Front Desk Supervisor went above and beyond helping me with everything! I will definitely stay here again!

Decent size room and the twin beds were actually separated and not pushed together. Movie channel in English with Japanese subtitles and good movies! Executive Lounge was awesome! Food was great, awesome, drink selectio. Staff was very nice. A lot of amenities. Enjoyed St George's Bar while I was there. Definitely recommend Hilton Tokyo!

Everything was great, except the bed is very VERY firm. Could not sleep comfortably in this hotel. Service and staff are great. Great breakfast buffet, helpful concierge. I will not stay again because the bed is so firm, also no power outlet by the bed.

Pros: Great location, clean and awesome part of Shinjuku for a quieter pace. Shuttle service is helpful. Views are great and the traditional bath in the fitness centre is awesome. Cons: Very dated rooms in need of an update. $90 AUD for breakfast buffet for 2 was nothing short of disappointing and ridiculous. The buffet is very sub-par. Much better value elsewhere for hotels.

Everything about this place is great. So many good things to mention. Food in the Executive Lounge was perfect. Room was large and super clean. The Spa and gym was great and location was perfect to get anywhere in Tokyo

Hotel in great location close and connect to metros (M line). It s a big hotel with a-lot of people which can be loud and noisy, especially with breakfast. Nice exec lounge with drinks and some snacks. Otherwise it is well maintained and room services is always superior to any hotel in the USA.

This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel. Great location, great breakfast they have everyone catered for serving everything you could want from dumplings to smoked salmon they even have an omelette station. I would say its probably getting to the point where the rooms could do with a revamp. There's nothing wrong with them but they are looking a tad dated now.

Very good hotel in Shinjuku. Lounge access is helpful as it provides a quieter breakfast and drinks approx 5pm. The lounge is not a place to have dinner in my opinion given the culinary excellence available in Tokyo. Concierge service for booking restaurants and dealing with issues is second to none

Very little storage in the room. Bathroom arrangement was dreadful. Huge shower but no room for anything else. Not thought through in my opinion. No storage in the bathroom. Perhaps this is just how Japan is. Very good service. Breakfast was good.

The perfect Hilton experience. Clean, neat, great service, great location. Honestly can’t complain about anything, definitely one of the best five star locations I’ve been too. Perhaps it’s not the fanciest but it is top tier for what it needs to be. The amenities are also great and there is a rooftop restaurant as well as a lounge.

Everything was of a good high end quality, the hotel is located close to JR rail shops and park for a stroll in the morning yet quiet rooms. Food is fresh and very good quality. Room service is very good. Staff were responsive to questions and outing recommendations. Fine place to stay!

We are a family of 6 that just stayed at the Hilton for over a month. The staff there are excellent🤩 best one i have ever experienced. We had our first meeting with earthquake while we were there and staff member ran up 33 stairs just to comfort us that everything is fine and safe. The room was cleaned SO well everyday and the concierge was so polite and sweet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a 5-star experience🤩👌🏻🇯🇵 Also the breakfeast is just amazing!!

Hotel Check in staff helpful and very good promoter to sell the upgrade offer. Finally I take the offer . The room is really big my family very happy have more space to play and run and jump. Breakfast is ok pass because so many people and busy. Also provides shuttle bus to station is good. If to airport have schedule shuttle bus provides (extra pay) but easy and safe around 1 hour 15 min overall is good

Only received 228 Hilton Honors points for a 17-night stay at the Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku. Now I have to spend hours trying to contact Hilton to resolve after the hotel staff just gave me the corporate number when the issue was brought to their attention.

I’ve stayed 15 nights since June 2021…can’t express how wonderful this hotel is! Every stay. The rooms are immaculate and pristine. The restaurants, especially the Japanese restaurant, JUNISOH, are all delicious and the room service is a grand experience. I was especially impressed my last visit by staff members in guest assistance, Yui Akasaka and Yu Sasaki. Due to Covid restrictions I’m unable to leave the hotel. When I needed some pharmaceutical supplies Yui at the front desk jumped in to help me figure out the best kind for my needs. Then Yu went to the pharmacy after her working shift to pick it up and delivered it back to the hotel for me! I hope the Tokyo Hilton will acknowledge and recognize these 2 staff members for such excellent service and help to a guest. It’s such a pleasure to stay here and feel so cared for. Thank you Yui and Yu!

One of the best of the Hilton hotels I've stayed at. Staff went out of their way to make sure that or stay was memorable. We particularly liked the spa. The breakfast was wonderful with excellent variety of western and Asian selections.

Great place to stay while in Tokyo. It' has larger western style rooms and centralized location. I left my dress and watch behind when I checked out. The hotell staff was kind enough to hold onto them for me until I came back a couple of weeks later to pick them up.

I’ve had an extremely good and luxurious experience with his hotel. Greatly located in the centre, spacious rooms, very clean, good products, phenomenal breakfast, connected to a train station, welcoming staff, had a gym, pool and spa. This hotel is perfect!

We went to the executive lounge for happy hour before going out in town. An employee named Waki came by to check on us. He offered to fix us a drink not offered in the lounge, promising it was the best gin and tonic in Tokyo. He didn’t fail us. He was so polite and made conversation in English for us. We would go back just to have happy hour with Waki again.

Awful service. Stay away, do not book with Hilton Tokyo. They will steal your money. These people are a whole bunch of thieves. They took the reservation money and refused to cancel and refund due to their government policy of not allowing us to enter Japan for COVID issues and restricting the entry for Japan. We spoke to them several times, but they wanted to steal our money although the reservation was a month ahead.

  • 1/5 Angelina S. 1 year ago on Google
My reservation was in July and due to the government’s policy restricting tourism I could not make it to my trip although I booked a month in advance, I called and tried to sort it out many times, yet nothing. These people are theifs, do not book it’s a waste of money!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The hotel is elegant, modern and beautifully designed, the rooms were spacious, super clean and comfortable and the service from A-Z was flawless. Breakfast was so good that I couldn’t miss it. Highly recommended.

Regular Hilton Hotel in Tokyo Shinjuku area. This is a 5 star hotel. The rooms are a bit small probably because it's Japan and can't control the size of what is already built. The rooms have air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The toilet and shower is a bit small. The toilet has an automatic bidet washing function. The room had a neutral smell. Masks must be worn in public areas at all times like the lobby, restaurants, etc.. There is only 1 restaurant that closes at 9pm. Room service is available after 9pm but the menu selection I limited to 4 dishes only! The staff are friendly and helpful when needed. Located within walking distance of approximately 10 minutes to local attractions such as shopping, bars, restaurants, etc.. Train station is also about 10 minutes walking. Parking is available. Wifi is free but not fast even for Hilton Honors members. Not sure if parking is free or not. Automated money exchange machine available in the lobby. Cash accepted. Credit cards accepted. Cryptocurrency NOT accepted.

Was only here to visit an old friend and her family. Their hotel room had a nice view of Shinjuku, and lots of space for her toddler to play around with. Oh, and the room was Alice-themed, so there's that as well lol

  • 3/5 CL L. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely not a 5 year hotel. 3 stars max. Rooms are sooo dated, it’s time for a makeover. Maybe if you get a renovated room. My room was old school. Location is nice if all you want to do is shop since it’s close to Shibuya/Shinjuku. Other than that, there’s not much nearby. The gym and pool is a joke. Can you even swim in such a small pool? Gym has lots of running machines but that’s pretty much it. I didn’t find people here to be particularly friendly to be honest and we didn’t feel welcomed. There was a short male foreigner working as a waiter that friendly service though. Hilton Nagoya has way better service, rooms, and breakfast. Hilton Osaka is also better than Hilton Tokyo.
